I’ve lived in Whitewater for 6 years. I’ve never eaten here until today, the day before I move. I am a sushi fanatic and didn’t want to leave Whitewater without at least trying it. I never ate here before because I haven’t heard too much good about it and sure enough those people were right. I’ve had the pleasure to eat some amazing sushi in my time all over the US — I know when something is crap. Environment: Run down. Old. The music was nice. The owner let their kid run around the restaurant and make noise. Very annoying. Service: Our waitress was nice, but literally did not communicate anything to us. It took them an HOUR to make a 12-pc SASHIMIPLATTER. The waitress did not tell us at any point in time what the delay was. Food Quality & Pricing: I usually go to Hibachi & Sushi in Janesville, fora roll they charge $ 11. H&S is absolutely amazing and worth every cent. Here, for an equivalent role they charge $ 13-$ 15! The sushi had no flavor, tasted like noting. I would even buy this at a grocery store if it were on sale for $ 1.00. There’s no point to eating this. If you’re looking for good Sushi, look elsewhere. Don’t come here on your lunch break because by the time you’re food is ready your lunch will have been long over. For what they charge here, you literally get much better value for your money EVERYWHERE else.

Upon entry it was empty. Restaurant was not clean, floor could use a good vacuuming. Décor is very outdated and mismatched. Music was very nice… Our server was very nice. Crab ragoon and miso soup were very good. Sushi was good. Nothing great. I am unsure if will go again but. I don’t regret or wouldn’t advise against it.

Ambiance and food presentation were lackluster for the prices. Green dragon sushi roll was really quite good, but the rest of our meal was average to disappointing, especially the gyoza which was not fresh made but out of the freezer. Good service though.

I had good service and good maki. A real surprise in rural Wisconsin. The décor is pleasant too. Parking is easy to find in the downtown area.

Really dated and dirty. Bathroom was awful. Food was roughly equal to grocery store sushi if not worse. I ordered a salmon and a tuna roll and they were exactly the same. I wouldn’t eat here again on a bet.

Best and only sushi in whitewater. Last time I ordered salmon and tuna rolls, but got only salmon rolls. The waiter insisted they were salmon and tuna, and I did not feel like arguing. The gyoza is superb, I prefer it steamed, the sauce it comes with is great. Service is slow, and the sushi can be hit or miss, but I love the family vibe. Side note, the spicy tuna/salmon rolls use diced salmon with spices instead of the normal whole salmon/tuna pieces with spicy mayo. Stick with the sushi in my opinion.

Good food! Decent sized entrees, not great hot tea, slow service, but worth the wait. I would go back fa show.
