This only earns 3 stars b/​c the tacos are so cheap on Monday’s and Thursday’s. The service is generally awful in the restaurant. The food is decent, but the tacos are good (al pastor or chorizo) and cheap.

I have been here over 20 times. There is excellent food before 4pm. Service is great then, the chilequiles and tacos are fresh and hot. But for some reason, at night everything goes downhill. My parents went last night and the food was ice cold. This unfortunately has been the trend, and it’s obvious the evening crew just doesn’t care about the business. Bummer, this place was pretty good for a while.

The food here Is delicious, i loved the service, the staff Is very friendly. It’s one of the best mexican restaurants on this área. The food Is very inexpensive, i love eating here. One of my favorite dishes Is the Carne Adobada, it’s great !(:

I love this place! The food is really good and inexpensive. It can get busy at times, because the food is great, and with BP right down the road many of the workers and contractors come here for their lunch breaks. I mostly call in my order and then head down to the lake front to enjoy it and have never had to wait long. I must admit the first time I walked in, my first impression wasn’t great. It seems dirty at first look, because the décor is dated and the dining area could definitely use an updating, however, I’ve never had a dirty dish or table while dining in and the staff is always very friendly. If you give this place a shot, I think you could love it as much as me.

Food is below average, and the service is quite slow. The place could use a good cleaning too, as I find it rather disgusting to have dried salsa all over the menus. Yuk.

Decent Mexican restaurant in Whiting. There are a lot of lunch dishes in the very reasonable $ 6 — $ 7 range. I had the «Cancun» this time — crispy beef taco, beef enchilada, and a pork tamale for $ 6.59. The only gripe I have had here is that it can be on the slow side depending on the crowdedness, and I’ve sometimes avoided in deference to other Mexican places in the area because of this.
