I have ordered a couple of times from here, each time I would think I would better service. I have ordered on the phone and I have gone in person to order at the shop i get the same horrible experience. If you go in the ladies in there are quite rude, it takes a while before they come up to you and once they take your order they always switch it up to «what they think is better» even when you tell them what you want. Delivery I think is the worst, always late! Always, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, even if you ask to pick it up, you’ll be there at least an extra 30min for them to «finish your order». If you order from 1800flowers and you order from a picture that you seen there, don’t expect to get the same thing. Bad business over all. I suggest to go somewhere else!

This is the only review that I have written where I wish Unilocal allowed for zero stars. Whiting Flower is a poor excuse for a flower shop, with the worst delivery person on the planet. This is also a local florist that 1800Flowers uses. The issue began when this company was used by 1800Flowers to resend an order of a dozen roses as a Valentine’s Day gift. The delivery person from Whiting Flower Shop came to the door on Friday, 2⁄20 for the delivery. My wife answered the door and he proceeded to berate and ridicule her for not having the sidewalk fully cleaned of ice. While the walkway had a few spots of thin ice, there was plenty of clean walkway to make it up to the doorway, as evidenced by our regular FedEx and UPS deliveries which are made with no complaints or issues by those professionals. As he continued to berate her, she simply shut the door and called it a day, with the experience of knowing that we will never use or recommend this flower shop again. Unfortunately, it didn’t end there. The same delivery man attempted to re-deliver the roses on Saturday, 2⁄21(he had apparently dropped the vase on 2/20, so he was making another attempt). This time, I answered the door and the first words out of this same deliveryman’s mouth were«You need to shovel your walk.» What? Are you kidding me? He continued to scold me and tell me how I needed to shovel and clean my walk. While I am always open to suggestions from knowledgeable and intelligent professionals, it was obvious that this delivery person satisfied none of those traits. He simply was a crusty, unhappy, ignorant individual who obviously not only didn’t like his job, but probably does not even like people. Whiting Flower Shop, why do you have someone like this on your payroll? My guess would be this person is somehow related to the owners or management at this shop, which would be the only qualification he would have to be employed in this position. My suggestion to this delivery man would be to give up the delivery position and see if you can find a job at a local Walmart, perhaps as a greeter, where people may be more tolerant of someone who only has to say«Welcome to Walmart» and where your verbal communications skills would be limited to only those 3 words. So, because of this rude, unprofessional treatment from Whiting Flower Shop, not only will we never do business with this company again, but we also will never do business with 1800Flowers again. My suggestion to those of you reading this review would be the same.

My Husband has ordered flowers from this shop for me twice — the first time was for Valentine’s Day and when I received the order it was wrong(apparently he ordered a dozen red and white roses but I only received red). He was peeved about it so he called and they put a «note» on our«file» to make up for it on our next order. So — he ordered for me last week(on July 3rd) and the display of roses was beautiful and he ordered a dozen but I received 18(I’m assuming to make up for the Valentines Day mistake)…but, they had not removed all of the thorns(ouch!) and the roses began to wilt and brown(in a cool and air conditioned house) on the second day. Very disappointing. Needless to say as much as we wanted to be supportive to a local business, we will likely not order from this shop again.
