Love this place! Warning, cash only. But very, ridiculously reasonable. Constant laughs and good food!

Very inexpensive, pleasant staff, good experiences there. Food is always served quick which is awesome for someone looking to eat quick lunches. Can’t say it’s one of the best diners by food — maybe I’m spoiled by the Worcester diners. But it’s not by any stretch bad either. It stands up to any other small-town Massachusetts diner. Add in the pleasant and quick service and it is a good place to go to.

If it’s breakfast or lunch in whitinsville you’re looking for you can stop looking now. This is the best breakfast in town end of story. The owners are wonderful people and the prices are more than fair. The food is even better than the price. Go there now and see for yourself.

Best breakfast spot around hands down! The place is charming and the waitstaff are friendly and funny. The food is super… it’s fresh and served literally seconds off the grill, piping hot! They refill your coffee so often that you can’t keep track of how much you’ve consumed. We always leave happy, full and wishing they were open on Sundays so we could go more often!

We had our second visit to Peg’s today… and enjoyed it as much as the first time. Good food, quick service, friendly staff, and fantastic prices. Where else can you find a good cup of coffee for 75 cents??? Our entire breakfast for two(plus lunch to go) was under $ 19. The atmosphere is definitely small-town, but it’s thoroughly entertaining. Peg’s is an unpretentious as it gets… I highly recommend you try them!

Great small town diner experience. Peg’s is an old diner type building that looks like a dining car from an old train. The interior looks all original and has the hometown joint appeal to it. I had breakfast here on the morning of Jan. 152014 at approx. 9AM. As I entered we were warmly greeted by the cook who doubled as a waiter and bus person. My father and I were told to grab a seat and our drink(coffee) order was immediately taken. Menus were located at the table. The menu was basic stuff no frill diner food but it was done really well! The coffee was served hot and good! Our food order was taken in a short period of time and served hot and delicious in about 10 minutes from our drink order arriving. I had 2 eggs over easy, home fries, kielbasa, and wheat toast. My father had an omelette with pumpernickel toast. My father recommends the omelette. Over all a great experience! Sevice was fast, friendly and welcoming. Atmosphere was enjoyable and relaxed. Food and coffee were both hot, delicious, served as ordered in quick efficient fashion. Home fries were really good, a benchmark of any good diner in my opinion. Inexpensive prices. Portion size was good. My father and both left full. Peg’s had plenty of business at the time i visited but never felt overcrowded. There is counter seats and 4 tables, not a large dining area by any definition and definitely not able to accommodate a large party. Definitely going back when in in the area. Cash only. I have nothing negative to say about my visit.

Must have visited on an off day last time. Been back recently– great prices, fresh ingredients(Thursday’s turkey is phenomenal), and friendly atmosphere. A new favorite.

Peg’s Diner is cool! I really love these small time, warm and fuzzy places.4 booths and about 8 seats at the counter is all there is here. Peg herself, is at the flattop makin’ everything happen. Had a nice little chat with her and found out she’s been doin’ this for 37 years! Wow! People are on a first name basis here and you feel like part of the family before you leave. This is a real jewel of a diner. The prices a very low, and I got out of there after having kielbasa and eggs, home fries, toast and good coffee for under 6 bucks. Closed on Sundays and Mondays, cash only.

Pegs is definitely a small town place, in the lovely small town of Whitinsville, MA. The menu is limited, but well executed. I had a western omelette with a side of bacon, my coworker had a veggie with sausage. Both were perfectly fine fare. Bacon was crisp, and the sausage was flavorful. We asked for lunch and were told«Anything you want, we’ve got egg, tuna, and chicken salad… and that’s it.» Luckily for us, there was some meatloaf from last night still kicking around, and we both got a really good sandwich on dark rye bread. The diner itself was clean, and obviously well-loved. Service was great, tons of local conversation to be overheard. Worth a stop if you are in the area.

Whitinsville is a berg in the sprawling metropolis that is Northbridge. Nestled in the busy downtown section, like all the other buildings grew up around it is a tiny vintage 1936 wooden diner called Peg’s. We went on a Saturday morning after ten. We grabbed seats at the counter and were greeted rather warmly. There was Xmas music playing on the radio(local AM?), which added to the ambiance. On Saturday they have Biscuits and Gravy so I had to try it. The biscuits were light and airy, the gravy had a slight reddish tint, I think because the sausage was hot Italian. Not the B &G you get down South or in the Midwest but it was very delicious. The coffee was freshly made and excellent. They also use a superior breakfast link sausage. The food is cooked right out front, it is a small place, and Chef had a friendly but confident air about her. It’s 25 minutes from our house but we will be back. The menu is limited but that’s a good thing in a place like this. * Vintage Diner * Very good breakfast for not alotta doe. * They have coffee syrup, yum coffee milks! * Cash Only I think * Parking in back * Closes at noon on Saturday
