McLaughlin Chevrolet

One of my best experiences in the market of purchasing a vehicle, by far was discovering McLaughlin Chevrolet in Whitman MA. Three years ago I dropped in with my daughter to look at cars, I was first greeted by a gentleman who was very friendly and later found out he was the General Sales Manager Frank Colanino, a great guy and very accomidating Then within minutes another hand was put out and it was my car salesman to be a Mr Glenn Smith one of the best in the business. I say this with complete confidence. That day we left with a new Chevy Cruise for my daughter completely satisfied and raveing about the service at McLaughlin Chevrolet. Since then being in the Transportation business and having complete faith and trust in Frank, Glen, and right down to the Service Manager Michael Babin I gave purchased a new Chevy Taverse, a new Chevy 3500 15 passenger van, and the newest to the fleet a new Chevy Impala. I personally recommend McLaughlin Chevrolet, and if your in the market looking at cars or trucks try them. Frank Colanino sales manager and a local guy and the best salesman I have ever negotiated with Glen Smith.

They lowballed me on my trade, and Wouldn’t work on prices with me at all. They are a bunch of snakes if I could leave no stars I would have. Do not go to this dealership.

Called about a used car that I was interested in and was told that it was still available I spoke with Doreen and told her I would be out in the next half hour to see it and wanted to make sure it was there Doreen advise me that the car was there. So I got my neighbor to babysit and drove 30 minutes out there when I got there Doreen told me that the car had been taken home by another employee and can I come back tomorrow. She said that the employees all drive the used cars. So I would advise if you’re interested in a used car from this dealership to have them double and triple check that the car is actually there before you waste your time and gas. I can understand that she just assumed it was there but I was especially annoyed because I gave her my number and she could have called me to let me know as soon as she knew that it wasn’t there but never did.

Such a good dealership! They are so kind even from the start they will help you find the right car without haggling you. I bought my car from Bobby five years ago and I haven’t had a problem with the car since. He’s a super nice guy which I know for a fact because my grandfather worked with him years ago. I did end up buying an extended warranty which I think was totally worth it. Not many things have broken but whenever anything has they will fix it and I don’t have to worry about something costly happening to my car. Most people know that dealerships service shops are usually the worse (i.e. Tracy cadillac, Best Chevy) but these guys are great they make it all worth it. The service guys are always nice to you and take you seriously. They are never bothered by any sort of weird requests and aren’t rude they will help you in any way they can. I drive right by the other Chevy dealerships just to get my car serviced in Whitman their attitude makes all the difference. Good work by all over at McLaughlin Chevrolet! If your gonna buy a Chevy definitely take the drive and go there!

Ive been looking to purchase a new vehicle. After visiting a few dealers in the area I checked this one out. Let me just say after seeing how other dealers conduct themselves then visiting this dealer… I have to say this dealer is a joke. There was a female outside on a bench texting on her phone when we pulled up. We thought she was waiting for her car at the service center. She final took a second to look up from her phone and ask if we needed help after I already walked passed her. Turns out she worked there. When I went inside it seemed the sales person I was contacted by was pre occupied. Went out to look at the cars… nobody even came out to see if I needed help. So I went to the next dealer. Customer service is non existent here.

I just purchased a used 2012 Chevy Cruz from the team at McLaughlin Chevrolet. I say team, because that is exactly what they are. From our sales person Steve, to Keith in the business office, to the General Manger Frank, this place actually makes buying a car a pleasure. I never felt rushed or pressured. Steve encouraged my husband and I to take our time, test drive whatever we wanted. He asked me questions about work, and my commute and made a solid recommendation on a car I love so much, driving to work everyday will be fun! I must admit that my credit is not stellar. That did not seem to matter these gentleman. I was not a credit score number, I was a person, and at McLaughlin, with Steve, we felt like VIP’s. I really cannot understate what a wonderful experience we had at McLaughlin. I heartily recommend this dealership and Steve in particular. My only warning is… if you get really excited… and spontaneously hug him… he may hug your husband too. :)
One of the reasons I love living in Whitman is the small town, human interaction at the local businesses. While this is a small town business, it is run with all the professionalism of any large branded dealership.
Sodo yourself a favor… go see the team at McLaughlin Chevrolet. Ask for Steve. He will make you feel like the only customer on earth. Tell him Kerri sent you. :)

Any time someone laughs at the idea of getting your car fixed at a dealership, this is the shop they’re referring to. I had bought my used car from McLaughlin, and my parents had bought both their cars from them for years. I thought maybe that meant they might value my business.
Multiple times I came to them with a problem that was obvious to everyone in the world that the alternator needed to be replaced. I don’t know what their problem was but they wouldn’t fix it. The first time they trashed my BRAND NEW battery, and replaced it with their own battery at double the cost of what I had paid for one at Sears a month prior. That didn’t fix it. New battery + diagnostics + a considerable labor charge for putting in a battery.
The next time I had my car towed there, and spent a solid 5 minutes explaining what happened and begged them to just change the alternator this time. The woman at the desk wrote «Car not working.» as the only notes on my order. New diagnostics charge + labor + a $ 50 car cleaning that I absolutely never asked for. Nothing fixed.
Brought it to them one more time for the same thing. Explained that all I wanted was the alternator changed. No diagnostics. Just do it. The guy at the desk didn’t listen to a word I said, and kept trying to butt into someone else’s obviously more interesting conversation. He assured me that my two prior diagnostics that had supposedly found nothing would be credited to my account. That was a flat out lie. Again, nothing was actually fixed. Yet another new super special diagnostics charge (that no one could actually explain)+ they kept my car for 4 days + labor (because hey, the car had been there for 4 days, they had to charge me something) + an empty tank of gas when I had dropped it off with a full tank + a slap in the face quote for a $ 500 (not a typo) radiator flush (lolz, yeah) that had nothing to do with anything but they felt I was due for. I told them to get the hell away from my car and don’t do another thing that would cost me money.
DIY-​ed the alternator and the belt: $ 150-​ish. DIY-​ed the radiator flush: $ 30, and the car was fine afterwards. There is no other way to put it than McLaughlin Chevy lied and stole my money, because obviously a college kid with a 10 year old used car has money to burn. Every single person I dealt with from buying the car to fixing it was unhelpful and clueless to the point where I thought I was going insane.
Buy a car from literally anyone else. Make a Flinstones car out of found objects. Do whatever you want. Just don’t come here.

After being ignored by the dealer 2 miles down the street from my home in West Yarmouth, I reached out to Bill Wigmore (50 miles away in Whitman, MA). He & Steve put my deal together in one afternoon, including trade appraisal at fair market value, and I picked up my new vehicle a day later. This is my 4^th Chevy truck purchase via Bill & Steve (followed them from another dealership), and terrific as usual!
