I have been bringing my two big breed dogs here for about 2 years and this is by far the best kennel in the Ann Arbor region. We have done the rounds at practically all of them trying to find somewhere that could be our dogs home away from home. The staff at Tall Oaks are wonderful — they take the dogs out for a couple of walks a day which is more than I can say for any other kennel. They’re extremely caring and very experienced with big breed dogs which is wonderful too. Chris, Laurie and Lorraine are fantastic.

Our two dogs love the staff at Tall Oaks Kennel — especially Chris and Laurie! I can’t say enough about the care and compassion they exhibit each time we board our dogs, and that gives us peace of mind when we’re traveling. They both are very professional and courteous and our dogs just love them! They know what each dog likes and doesn’t like and they always go the extra mile to be sure they are comfortable and at ease! One down side is that they don’t offer free (or reasonably priced) bathing on the day of pick-​up, as do other kennels — their bathing fees are unnecessarily high at $ 25.00 per dog. They also don’t offer a discounted rate when boarding two dogs in separate kennels.

We had previously used this kennel and were satisfied. However, in July we took our Lab there. We had asked for her not to be socialized with other dogs because she was older. She accidentally was. This accident resulted in her being mauled by 2 100 pound dogs. We had to come home and euthinize her due to her injuries. While I do believe it was an accident. This accident does not take away my daily heart break or her pain. I trusted them with a member of my family and now she is gone.
