Diamond Nails

I really, really like this shop and I have tried several in the Whittier area. The owner, Sam is delightful and the other lady who works there and usually does my nails, does a terrific job. My manicures and pedicures last a long time. I usually call before going in so Sam can tell me if she is backed up.

This place sucks. I walked in and the lady was on her iPad while another person was doing a manicure. i asked for a fill and she told me to get my color. Bring your own color bc they all look tacky or dried up. the glue she used to put on my nails literally said «kids nail glue». then my skin got stuck on and she tried taking it off with that machine. she ended up burning my skin. she hands me off to another girl to file down my nails and throws my hands at me to ask if i liked them. another girl walks in asking for a manicure. both the ladies are busy but they ask me to wait ten minutes so they can help her. then they complained i was too picky with my color and shape. then i gave her 25 $ for a 20 $ manicure and she didnt bother giving me my change. i had to ask for my money back. when i was my hands the sink was moldy and smelled. my nails didnt even dry but they were rushing to get me out of there.
SO RUDE! DONT GO HERE

Getting ready for a big day tomorrow. Love that this place not only close by, but friendly, they do good work and fast. Price always right ;)

I have been a customer since this shop opened it’s doors, went in last week for a pedicure and while I was there (no one else waiting for Sam) thought I will get fills and eyebrow waxing, when I walked in the owner Sam was playing on her ipad, she didnt say hello she looked at me and then said yes (rude) when I picked out my nail color, she still didnt leave her ipad it took her 5 minutes to put it away, when she was filling my nails I tried to make conversation and she obviously didnt want to talk to me. I decided when she finished with my nails I would not let her give me my pedicure or eyebrow waxing-​I refuse to pay someone to be rude to me! Her clients should not be fooled, she gossips about all her clients and doesnt have nice things to say about people. I will never go back again!

I love this place !! Second time I’m here, the ladies are very detail oriented, make sure everything is perfect, ask you bunch of times if its good and anything you might think they should correct, they instantly do it :) I always tip 30%, very cheap too. Good quality nail polish. The place is a simple, family owned looking like place, nothing fancy. But who cares about granite floors ?! All I care about is getting a great manicure. And getting it for cheap is even better :)

I have been going here for quite some time and I am pretty satisfied. They remain consistent with cleanliness, reliability, quality, and affordability. Their track record for appointments is rather decent and accurate. I have tried other local places and have found this location to be the cleanest and satisfying in regards to service/​quality of work. I have not had any issues with infection or pain. They are opened 7 days/​week and open around 8 or 9am.

I keep going back to this place. People recommend other places and I try them. I’m never happy. This place is small and parking is very crowded. But very worth it! They have a great selection of colors. Sam the owner is great. She remembers my sister and I even if I haven’t been there in months. The quality of product she produces is wonderful!
I’ve even seen women come in to get their eyebrows waxed. I’ve never had mine waxed here but the people don’t seem unhappy when they leave.
I only gave 4 stars because this place could use a new coat of paint and they occasionally bounce me around from station to station to do my top coat which really bugs me.

Unprofessional, unclean, unhappy… I came in for my 9:30 appt. I had to wait 15 minutes for the lady to show up. She then took a non-​appt to fix her broken nail, despite the fact that I told her I had a newborn at home that I needed to get back to so my husband could leave for work. She promised it would take 2 – 5 minutes. Meanwhile, another worker was painting her toes on the table… ugh! 10 minutes later, I left. The place was filthy, so I was thrilled to leave! Just avoid this place. They take walk-​ins before appts, need to clean the place up, and get it together.

Recently moved to the area and was thrilled to find this place! Very clean, decent color selection, and the owner is hysterical and entertaining. Previous reviewer is dead on that it is nothing fancy, but, I am very pleased with how my nails look and I will definitely return.

Sam, the owner, is a bubbly woman who enjoys talking with her customers and getting to know them.
Her English is superb and she tries to encourage her ladies to speak English as well. Rarely do you hear these ladies speaking other than English and I consider this a huge plus.
It’s not a fancy place, so if you want that, go elsewhere. Small place in an «old strip-​mall» type location. Parking is sometimes crowded.
They do a good job at a GREAT PRICE and it’s clean.
