Fantasy Cuts

Don’t expect any conversation, which is fine with me. I just come in, tell him what I want and about 7 minutes later I’m paying and out. He knows how to cut and there is a certain man code that he’s not your therapist, he’s just here to do one job, that’s to cut hair.
I went on Tuesday around 11 am, so no wait.

Not friendly at all. Needed a hair cut in emergency. Sat down in the chair n asked how much for a trim around the sides. Told him that was pricey for a trim. He said, «You don’t like it, leave». Normally, i would have walked out but it was a Sunday. All other barbers were closed. So i just did it. I def would not go there again. The next day the back of my head n sides broke out with bumps. I’ve never gotten bumps. Found out from a Barber that bumps are caused by dirty machines when barbers don’t sanitize them. That’s probably why i have never seen this baber with more than 1 customer in his shop at a time.

My husband went in for a simple hair cut and was basically told to leave. He told the barber what he wanted and the barber told him, «you’re too picky» and that he couldn’t cut his hair cause it was «too long»!!! First and last time here!!!

I took my son to get his hair cut here today. The barber did an awesome job. definitely coming back. FYI: just because the barber doesn’t talk doesn’t mean that he’s rude. He’s just a reserved kinda guy. I didn’t come to socialize, I came to get a good hair cut which was a success 100%. Thank you!

I’ve brought my son here for about a year and I was really disappointed and shocked at the disruptive and rude way my son and I were treated. The owner of the shop grew impatient with my son because he kept moving. (He is six). He totally butchered the back of his head started mumbling to himself and stopped cutting his hair. I did pay for the bad haircut and walked out! I will not be coming back again, which is a shame because this is my neighborhood and I love to support small businesses.
Ps although he has movies playing they are not always appropriate for young ears and even on request he won’t turn it off :(.

Very nice place to get a hair cut. While waiting you can be watching a movie. Plus hair cuts are really great. It’s hard to find anyone who really knows how to fade. And awesome prices as well.

To make sure this place isn’t confused with another it’s located on Whittier Blvd at the corner of Jacmar. I took my 8 yr old brother in for a long over due haircut. When we walked in Mike immediately started talking to my brother before I even said anything. I really appreciated the respect he showed a kid. He was very patient with my little one who could not sit still and was very friendly to us both. My brother loved his haircut and couldn’t wait to show it off. I will definitely go back. Conveniently located as well with parking right in back. Great service goes a long way and makes all the difference.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! The barber here is very rude and stand offish. I’d been going to this place for about 8 months now. Last month I asked the only guy that works there (has to be for a reason), to thin my hair out with shears. He did and after he was done I came home, did my hair and seen my hair was different lengths where I couldn’t comb it. Talk about hair disaster!!!
Shame on me for going in there again, I went in today for a haircut. He asked me how I wanted my cut. Respectively, I told him a fade with a light thin on the top of my head, and thought that I could be honest and tell him what had happened the last time. He immediately got defensive and said that that’s how thinning shears worked, as I opposed to his response and told him that I’ve had many haircuts with thinning shears and that wasn’t the way they worked. He got even more upset and took the cover right off me and said to leave!!! The guy kicked me out for being honest with him, and because he doesn’t know how to use thinning shears, he got upset with me!!! I told him I pay good money, and in return I expect a good haircut, not whatever he wants to do with my hair.
I give this place ZERO STARS. Never again will I step a foot in that place. Fantasy cuts, more like NIGHTMARE CUT!

I have been here 3 times. And all 3 times it has said: «open» yet, there has been no one inside and all the doors have been locked.
It’s near impossible to rate a location if you have not been inside. But I know how to rate the customer service… which will be ¹⁄₅.
I have been here thrice. And all times I have found a OPEN sign in the window, lights on. And doors locked. With no sign on the front door saying «be back in 5 minutes» or anything of that nature.

I have to agree… the man there is rude… it seems he is doing us a favor. Been there a few times and each time I gave him the some slack because I would take my kid… but this last time I walked in on him as he was cutting his own hair. We sat down and he didn’t say hello… I said hi to make sure to he knew we were there but still very little response… waited for a bit and he didn’t put down the clippers. He just kept on clipping away and didn’t bother with us… after a few minutes my son and I bailed out and went to another barber shop up the street (forgetting the name of it right now). They were waaaaaay better. Will never come back to this place again… just plain rude and horrible customer service.

My husband has been going to this barber shop for 10+ years and he will not go to anyone else. He is a little more old school but he tries his best to make you look fresh!

LOOK NO MORE! Good Barbers are hard to find & Fantasy Cut is the best place in town! Awesome Place to get a cut or a trim! Usually I’m in & out, but if there’s a wait — Its ALL GOOD, because you can kick back & watch satellite TV while your waiting to get your hair cut! Been a long time customer of this place. Owner Manny is the best barber around hands down! Gotta check the place out!

Don’t go here! The owner/​barber is very rude and unprofessional.
I went in and asked for a «taper» style. He barely took anything off. I kindly asked if he can go a little higher. He told me to tell him how high. I did. He went higher than I asked and I stopped him before he finished. He quickly told me «I’m not dealing with your shit. I’m done. You can leave.»
Wow. I went to Jesses Barber Shop down the street and they fixed as much as they could. Unfortunately, I have to grant 1 star. I would like to grant none!
