I’m going guess that I didn’t visit this place on there best day. It was Father’s Day and as a result they had a smaller menu available for the day(I’m assuming to provide faster service for a busy day), but even like that, it took way too long to get our food. The waiter and I’m assuming owner made up for it with their kindness and attentiveness so I will give this place a second try.

Excellent food looks amazing and tastes amazing ! I love the energy in here, the staff and owner are welcoming and service is far beyond excellent. Churro latte and Horchata latte are both delicious, Horchata is a little bit more delicious. Chilaquiles verdes are just spicy enough with a side of tummy black beans. Pancakes are bomb and bacon is meaty and .

First time dining at this place and I have to say I LOVEIT! The staff is helpful, pleasant, and accomadating. The restaurant is clean and has a cool vibe and atmosphere. The food was delicious. I had the Chile Verde Pizza and it was so good. My daughter had the Turkey Sandwich and she loved it as well! Will definitely come back and hopefully try some breakfast. If the breakfast and service is the same… I’ve found one of my new favorite places to eat in Uptown. Thanks for the forkin great experience.

Food: 2 stars. The extra star is for the excellent customer service and drinks! I was really looking forward to trying their flatbreads, but was told they no longer served them. Sad! They were still on the website and on the menu. So, my husband and I ordered the steak sandwich(smelled like fish), the chorizo burger with egg(decent but had egg shells in it), a side of potato salad(inedible because it smelled strongly of bleach) and a churro latte(amazing and the best thing about this place). The servers were amazing and gave us free drinks due to me complaining about the bleach salad. Sadly, I won’t be having lunch here again, but I may stop in for a drink.

This place looks so artsy and cozy, the decoration is really well done and the owner is really welcoming and friendly. The menu has a good diversity of options, with a lot of choices for spicier tastes. My personal favorite is the quesadilla with squash blossoms or the barbecue chicken quesadilla. This place is pretty new so I’m cutting them a little slack, there is definitely room for improvement when it comes to the speed and attentiveness of their service, and some of their dishes felt like a ripoff price wise. The chilaquiles are very dry and taste like they were made in a minute, yet cost a decent amount of money. If the portions were a little bigger and the price of the dishes a bit more reasonable this place would be much better! That being said, they do have pretty good coffee, so if you and a friend want time to chat and aren’t in a hurry this place will do just fine!

This is certainly a hidden GEM in Uptown Whittier! The atmosphere is cozy and very charming! This is the perfect place for a romantic meal or for a group of friends. The music is just lovely and the seating is comfortable. The food is amazing! Everything that we tried was delicious. I’m positive the lunch and dinner menu meets up to great expectations! We will definitely be back!

My family is visiting from Michigan and they wanted eat some of the delicious foods that we enjoy around Whittier so I took them to Forkin’ Good Café in Whittier. I ordered the Prosciutto, Fig & Chèvre sandwich: Flaky Croissant stuffed with Fresh Goat Cheese, Sweet Fig Jam, sliced Prosciutto, Baby Arugula, and Balsamic drizzle. Accompanied by mixed baby green salad. $ 11. Let me say first that this sandwich was such a scrumptious blend of sweet and savory that I almost have to excuse the fact that we waited 30 minutes and never got the specialty coffees that we ordered. I finally asked about them after we saw 2 other tables get their coffee before ours and they told us the computer they use to print orders was malfunctioning so they never saw the orders. Now that would be forgivable in a large restaurant but this place literally has 10 tiny tables. Nobody came to check whether we needed anything. We eventually got our coffees but not until 10 minutes into our meal. This is not the order I wanted to enjoy them. The Mexican Hot Chocolate Latte did make a nice dessert though. I must say the manager apologized and took the charges for all 4 coffees off of our bill and was very sweet. My brother did not understand why he paid $ 11 for French toast that was average tasting and came with absolutely nothing on the side. He had to order eggs over easy just to fill up and they were overcooked. I have enjoyed the breakfast pizza here a few times but after this experience I don’t think I’ll be back. So long Prosciutto sandwich. You are phenomenal.

Another amazing meal… everything is so fresh and the atmosphere adds to the experience. Service is a bit slow but the food and drinks are worth the wait. :) Friendly staff.

The food was absolutely delicious. I had the Serious Steak Sandwich with the pesto pasta salad. My friend had the turkey sandwich with the pesto pasta salad. I highly recommend both! So delicious. We also indulged in some latte’s. I had the Churro Latte with Almond Milk and my friend had the Horchata Latte with Soy Milk. SOFREAKINGGOOD! I usually have non-fat milk, but they do not offer that, which was slightly disappointing, but the almond milk was delicious. We also took home some coffee cake for dessert. It was so very good! They have fresh pastries. The restaurant itself is small, but beautiful. It offers unique seating and it has an artistic feel. The staff was polite and attentive and just all around fantastic. I will definitely come back.

This place was recommended to us, so we visited for breakfast on a Sunday. The décor is very cute with lots of French touches — very girly. Staff was friendly. The menu reads really well and they have some unique coffee options. Overall I don’t think I’ll be back any time soon for the food. For the coffee, definitely, and actually I would say 5 stars for the coffee. Here are my highlights and the reasoning behind the 3 star rating: *Not kid friendly. It would be really easy to have a few high chairs available for the kiddos, so that was a bit of a pain in the a#%. Also, no kid menu either — so basically, not kid friendly at all, which is a shame. And I acknowledge that when I didn’t have kids, this would not have bothered me one bit and that sometimes certain places should be sans kids — but this place could very easily be kid friendly. *Food lacked flavor, things tasted like they only had one note. Both the hubs and I were enticed by the menu options — they sound great. But once we got our grub on, we both agreed that flavor was lacking. And putting an egg on top didn’t save the dishes. *Coffee is outstanding. Super unique options(rose and honey, lavender, horchata, etc…). You can also get your drink hot or cold. 5 stars for the coffee.

Came here on a Tuesday at 12:45 with 3 work members and server was really nice. Unfortunately we didn’t end up getting our food until 45 min. After we ordered!!! So slow to get 4 sandwhichs. I ordered the«best blt» with bacon well done and as you can see in the picture it was not well done. My salad was warm, yuck. I won’t be returning here, especially when the service was so slow. Oh and we ordered the bruchetta to start and the cook brought it out to us chewing gum :\ and the majority was onions, where’s the tomato?!

Loved the ambiance! Very cute cozy place… I feel like it’s nice perfect lazy Sunday place because everything is very slow paced… not complaining we got what we wanted and it was delicious but service very very slow.

I’ve eaten at this place 3 times. Depending on who you get is the service you receive. Depending on the day(and sever) they’ll be extra nice to you. Most of the time, the food is not like what they described or what you expect so ask questions. About 70% of the time when you get your food it’ll taste okay. This place seems to semi care about their customers voice and opinion. It’s a shame they don’t want to make things better or hold themselves to higher service. Especially in a prime location like theirs! Never going back because I am so tired of the inconsistency. You’ve been warned!

I came here after a night out celebrating«my birthday» with some locals. It was a great«post birthday» breakfast. Technically it wasn’t my birthday, but no one has to know that.(: plus, who am I to tell friendly people not to celebrate my day right? We ended up at this little spot and it was just what I/we needed after a night out… Calm relaxing setting. This little box of yumminess is very clean and cozy. For the ladies: This place is super Forkin adorable to either come with friend(s), or enjoy a solo date. I have been here both in a group, and alone and each experience was equally as pleasant. For the Fellas: This place is a lax spot to bring your lady thang… she would really enjoy it. If your girl is anything like me(meaning .Useful, fun and Cool aside from amazing and loveable =p), she will appreciate the cute décor, and simple yet nice and intimate spot with tasty breakfast/brunch options. The ambience is really laid back. Dim lighting and the seating area is anywhere from a regular table two seat set ups, or couch seating with artsy pillows. For a larger group you can sit in booth like areas. It isn’t too big of a space, but the set-up was well done. Depending where you sit you have enough privacy if needed. Both my experiences were great. I/we received great customer service. Attentive girl and wore a sweet smile through out the whole time. Prep time for the dishes is a little more than I was comfortable with, but after all, everything is served fresh and well worth it.(If you are limited on time I would suggest to visit when you are not so you can fully enjoy the visit.) Pricing is reasonable. Dishes range from $ 9.00 — $ 15.00 They have healthy options if you are looking to stay on the lighter side. They have a variety of different fresh drinks, which you can sample. There is a hiking trail nearby(Hellmans) this is the perfect spot to stop after to get some fresh protein. They have a protein platter that is fulfilling and really tasty. It consist of boiled eggs, Avocado, greens and spicy bacon. I really wish they would serve more bacon. I mean you can ask for it, and I would recommend it because you simply cannot go wrong with bacon. All you need after that is two buns, cheese and meat and you got a burger. Okay, no, but really great healthy choice. You also get fresh fruit on the side as well. Tasty, affordable, clean and cute. An added bonus parking really is not an issue. You can find it on the street, or the public parking structure. Maybe we can all go sometime? for my birthday? It’sTodayYouknow!!! xoxo bonbon BirthdayGirlBon O.

Cute name, neat concept, good food, and service can be all over the forkin place. SALMONPIZZA Hot and chewy crust, nice smoked salmon, onion and tasty fried egg. I ate half for breakfast and the other half for lunch. Quite uniquely satisfying. CHILAQUILES Original presentation and damn tasty flavors. OINKOINKPIZZA Chorizo, ham ANDBACON?! What’s not to like? Just a tad bit salty but it’s all good. BLT I could have done with less L and T and WAY more B. Just sayin’

I’ve heard so many good things about this place and had high expectations but Forkin Good just isn’t that great. I came with my grandma today around 11am. There were 3 tables available but 2 of them still had not been cleaned after the previous people left,(this is probably because there was only one girl up front to take care of all the tables) so we sat on the clean table in the back. I feel like they’re trying too hard to seem like a relaxed and comfortable place. Our table had a chair on one side and a booth on the other side with tons of pillows that made my experience so uncomfortable! As far as the food goes, it was nothing spectacular. We both ordered the Mushroom and Spinach Frittata which comes with either sweet potatoes or red-skinned potatoes. I got the sweet and my grandma got the red-skinned. I felt like the Frittata was pretty dry, but the best part about it was the grilled onions that added much more flavor to it. I did LOVE the sweet potatoes and that alone saved the meal for me. I saw one of the highlights on Unilocal was the Mexican Hot Chocolate and I was pretty excited to try it. Just my luck they had just served their last batch so I sadly just stuck with water. For the price, I don’t think this place is really worth it. The food is okay, the service is okay, but the comfortable looking seating is definitely not comfortable. I probably won’t be returning and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. It’s not a place you would go out of your way to try.

Could someone please teach the girls working here how to serve customers? Service here was sooo bad!!! We came on a Saturday afternoon. 1st they didn’t have the drinks we wanted they were all out??? Than no one came by to ask us how our food was or even give us refills on our waters. In addition, the chili verde pizza was good but it could have used more verde sauce. When I asked for some the girl said they were all out and that it would take 10mins to make. The pizza is so bready so the ends are dry I wanted more sauce to dip it in. But we didn’t want to wait 10mins because we were pretty much finished with our food. We wouldn’t have had this issue if the girls weren’t so busy chit chatting away and actually paid attention to us. Anyhow as far as the food goes it’s okayyy! The chicken sandwich was good but they used raw onions and seriously all I could taste the whole time was the onion if they would have grilled it or caramelized it it would have been delicious but yeah wasn’t my favorite. The chili verde pizza was good however it could have used a little more verde sauce. All in all this place was a letdown. Perhaps their breakfast is better??? I liked the ambience of the restaurant its a cute cozy place with beautiful flowers. But definitely they could work on service as that was a major issue for my friend and I. Oh in addition the girl dropped off our check without even checking with us if we wanted to order dessert or anything else or just how the food was. Thought this was super rude!!! Hope they work out some of their issues.

Tried the place during the weekend with my hubby. We used the coupon. Initially, the restaurant seem charming and hip. We were excited for our lunch date. The place was busy. There was another couple before us, that left because it took so long for them to get their order. Took 40 minutes to get our food. The poor girl had to man the front making drinks and serve people. Clearly need to hire more people to help out. My hubby ordered the applewood bacon banana pancake, there was this deep smoke flavor and a few bites of bacon. No Banana flavor whatsoever. My mushroom and spinach frittata tasted like a regular omelette. Salad that came along with my frittata wasn’t bad, I liked it. The drinks were okay. Hope they can find more employees to help the server.
