Love this place and the people that work here. LINDA is awesome and always does an amazing job! She take my crazy, curly, unruly hair and makes it beautiful! She listens to what I’m looking for and gives great feed back and opinions to make it better. Everyone here is super friendly and the owners are great!

So, I was looking for a new stylist. I turned to Unilocal,and found JANTHONY and I’m so glad I did!!! Beautiful Bianca was a Godsend! She worked her magic and gave me exactly what I was long for! Not only was she friendly, and professional but she was knowledgeable and gave great advice. The atmosphere was so awesome, the other stylist were just as good. Definitely going back… JANTHONY watch it you just got a regular!

I was looking for a hair salon that was close to home and not ridiculously expensive, but most of all, with great reviews… Jackpot! I scheduled my appointment for a Wednesday night at 5:30pm, it turns out I got there too early so i had to wait for about an hour, my fault, however, they were all so concerned thinking that I had been waiting that everyone took a moment to ask if I had been helped. They offerred me snacks; water, and WINE! Of course I chose the wine, by the time my hairdresser came in I was beyond happy.
On to the hair:
My hair was not the best but it was not a complete mess either; that said, Jorge did an AMAZING job with my hair, he was friendly, professional, and just passionate about his work. He made my hair look like a million bucks. Gave me a great trim and refreshed my layers and actually listened to me when i asked him NOT to touch the length, they neve listen to me but he did; he also did some partial highlights on my hair to lighten up the tone of my current color. I received a crazy amount of compliments which I never got with other hair salons.
Price:
The pricing is VERY clear and very reasonable, considering the high quality caliber of work these people do. They do not mess with you on this. Other places will not even disclose until you get smacked upside the head with an astronomic price tag. I would know… I have been to several very expensive places and come out very dissapointed, not only with the price but the work itself; to the extent that I once had to cut my almost waist length hair up to my chin because they fried it for a whopping $ 320…not worth it. I hope that J Anthony’s keeps their pricing reasonable as they have thus far because I want to keep coming back!!!

For any ladies who are looking for a salon J anthony the place to be all the staff were so nice and kind i was offered a beverage like water or cofee made me feelI really welcomed. I want to thank Bianca for doing such an amazing job on my hair I absolutely love it I found my new hair stylist who knows exactly what they’re doing thanks again so much I’m recommending all my friends and family.

My review is for Jocelyn. She is really good at what she does. She’s fun and easy to talk to. Both times I’ve gone she finds the best approach to get me what I want without frying my hair. To be honest the salon’s prices are above my price range but she always makes the experience worth it. I’ve found my stylist :)

I’m obsessed with my hair I have super long hair and extremely picky with my cuts I normally cut my own hair but idk four kids later took a tull on me ! So after dozens of hair dressers I finally found my star! BIANCA BURRIES did my cut and styled it and I was in love she kept my length but gave me volume and blended my layers beautifully ! I am obsessed and I can’t wait to go back to her to see what else she can do thinking about shorter bangs and taking off two more inches off my hair don’t know yet …

Loved how my hair came out. Frank is amazing! The staff is wonderful! Wonderful ambience loved the girl who washed my hair omg! I forgot her name but she is exactly like my soul sister. I will definitely come back and get my hair did with Frank. I highly recommend this place and Frank to get your hair done gals and guys. I’m not worthy of such amazeballs he is. Wow what a great experience I had today! I live in Uptown and walked into this local salon without an appointment hoping I could get in with Frank! And he was completely booked (Saturday) but he over heard me talking with the (very nice) girl at the front desk and he walked up to greet me. He looked at his calendar and squeeze me in for an appointment! I was very happy about that because he made it happened and accommodate me and my lack of planning for a haircut on his busiest day. (Highly recommend an appointment as he will be booked) I left this place feeling great, clean and fresh! Frank is a stud at not only women’s hair but men’s hair as well! I showed him the look I wanted and nailed it! He also styled my hair and had me ready for my Hollywood dinner party! I will DEFINITELY be coming back and making him my new stylist/​barber. I needed a last minute appointment for a cut and style but my usual hairstylist was booked. I used Unilocal to find a salon nearby and was happy to learn this place received the highest accolade in the Whittier area among Unilocal users.
Jocelyn was my hairstylist; she was not only professional and personable, she was also knowledgable about my thick lock of hair. I was impressed with her ease of styling my hair. She accommodated my hair cut preferences while giving me a style that I thoroughly enjoyed. She was also efficient and got me out of the salon in 1.5 hours following a cut and style (which usually takes 2 hours). I will definitely ask for her next time.
The price for the cut and style was more than appropriate given my wonderful experience with Jocelyn.
The salon is clean, trendy and big.

am SO in love with this salon! My friend had an appointment around 1pm and I decided to call in and see if they had another appointment for me at a similar time. They were able to get me in with Elena.
The place is beautiful. The décor and feel is great. The couch is so comfortable too! We were greeted by Jessica who’s cool purple hair matches her cool personality! Frank the owner is extremely nice and fun. He does my friends hair and does a great job, he is very careful to do what the customer wants and has a warm presence. Some places can be a little intimidating but not this one!
Elena did my hair and I am SO pleased. She is so sweet and caring. I felt as if my best friend was doing my hair! I had no idea what I needed to do to give my hair a little ‘umph’ but Elena sat down with me and gave me different options. I am not used to hair lingo, so she even went further in describing what it all meant. Couldn’t be happier with the results of my hair!
I will definately be coming back. I had such a fun experience and walked out with gorgeous hair. Thank you so much Frank, Jessica and Elena!

J Anthony Salon never fails to impress me. This salon is very friendly and they treat the customers very well. Also, they offer wine and beer!
My go to is Linda. I love her because I am one of those people who doesn’t know what to do with their hair, but Linda makes great suggestions. She works with you until you create an idea of what you want and she executes everything so well. She’s a color wizard and I like that every time I come in for a color, we try something slightly different than the previous time.
I recently had an important event to attend and needed an up-​do. Linda suggested Jocelyn and she did a stellar job. I owe Jocelyn big time not only for doing a beautiful, simple yet sleek up do, but she did it in the summer time, when my car AC was broken (basically, I came in melting). Jocelyn was kind, patient, sweet, and super professional. I, again, didn’t know what I wanted. She had free reign and did semi-​low up do spiral (so pretty!). I was getting compliments left and right at my graduation. Jocelyn is an stellar stylist.
Everyone in this salon is talented and you can’t go wrong with any of them.

I want to write this review fresh out of my experience because I woke up today with awesome hair and I can finally say:
«I woke up like this!»
As high maintenance as I am (pssh you say it like it’s a bad thing *hair flip*) I am that girl that never does anything to her hair. For one, I have super thin hair so the idea of dying it made me break out in hives at the thought of going bald. Second, I have NEVER had a good haircut/​color so I just gave up on paying lots of money to hate my life later. Third, I am useless at curling my hair, putting my hair up, etc… so I just gave up on my (hair) life.
I can walk to J Anthony’s from my house but even after reading great review after great review, I always talked myself out of it. Well, flash forward to Wednesday, my little sister called to make a consultation appointment and thug life I asked to come in too. Worst case scenario, I pay a lot of money, hate it, go to CVS and buy the Clairol.
My girl was Linda and I want to start by saying she is the nicest most personable hair dresser I’ve ever met. She made me feel right at home with a glass wine (hey!) and she put me at ease quickly. I came in with zero suggestions and expectations and I was ready to chop off my hair because it felt so dry. She heard me out but she suggested long layers and an ombré. This girl knows her stuff so I thug lifed it again and left my tresses in her hands. Given that I haven’t done shit to my hair, I didn’t need a base color so the process was much easier and faster.
I explain to her my thin hair concerns and how I was afraid to go bald (ek!) so she walked me through the process and said she put something gentler to lighten my hair. I believe her because I didn’t get that strong bleach smell I usually got when highlighting.
To say I was in damn shock when she was done was an understatement. I look like a completely new person in a much fabulous way! She gave me LIFE! I LOVE my hair and now I am motivated to take care of it… I don’t know who was more satisfied with the results, me or the hubby lol!
I can’t recommend this salon and Linda enough! She is beyond amazing as a person and as a hairdresser and the pricing was so reasonable. I was skeptical but now I am convinced! Thank you for making me fly girl! I am all for promoting awesome businesses and hands down this one deserves you checking them out, so GO!!! (Make an appointment first tho!)

This place is great! Frank was awesome he greeted me with a smile and some good warm coffee! Prior to coming to frank I went to a salon in montebello called Salon Maxx what a horrible experience my highlights where different colors. Other parts of my hair were stained with bleach ugggh and worst of all they didn’t cover my gray hair … I was charged 130.00 JUST TERRIBLE!!!
Frank was my angel today! He repaired my hair without having to damage it more!!! My hair looks absolutely beautiful! I cant thank him enough for giving me such beutiful bouncy hair with volume and not plain dry flat looking hair like other hairstylist who don’t take pride in there work! Thank you Frank and i will see you sooooon! !!

Like always I leave here with a smile! Earlier today I walked in with the thought of touching up my ombré by Frank. After blow dry and styling I looked at my new hair with amazement! My hair looks and feels so brand new!
Frank really out did himself and his fellow coworker Jocelyn tag teamed my hair! It was a great experience and as I’ve said and told before I will never get my hair done anywhere else!
