BEST FOOD!!! Best food all around, great food never tasted any food like this not in other Mexican restaurants and great customer service ! Owner is very friendly, come a long way to eat here !

NASTY DIRTY FOOD!!! My daughter and went to this restaurant, the tables were sticky and dirty and it took them 40 min to bring us our food. It was not even busy. We ordered cocktail de Cameron and Cameron aguachile… Really that long for those items??? The aguachile was soooo nasty. They blended jalapeños with water and poured it over the shrimp. They tasted like dirty dish water. My daughter’s cocktail tasted awful. Shrimp was dirty and when I told the waitress she said SORRY they don’t inspect the food before they cook it. They just get from a box and rinse and serve. My daughter got food poisoning from this NASTY PLACE…

Came here for lunch. The food was good. And the serivce was good as well. Close to work so it works out.

The seafood had a weird smell and did not taste fresh. I couldn’t enjoy my oysters and aguachilles because of the quality of the seafood. The service was so slow and it took forever to close out my bill. The only good thing was the michelada.

Super good food, had mariscos; the oysters were super fresh, the cosume was delicious, the aguachiles were amazing, their fajitas mixta were super good, n so was the ceviche. Our waitress was super nice n even though she was the only one working besides the 1 cook she made sure to take care of us. Amazing food n great service, a lil slow due to the 1 waitress n 1 cook for the dinner service, but thank goodness it wasn’t busy.

Been here a few times now. Very quiet spot in the south side of whittier, west of carmanita and meyer rd. very friendly staff very fresh food and never rushed or bothered.
First time here was in a rush and they were quick second time i was there we killed some time and drinks were always filled and chips n salsa alwaysfull thanks again el pargo im a regular when i got time!!!

Seriously under staffed and seriously over priced. Bad combination! I ordered aguachiles and i was unamused, there hardly any shrimp and not very good at all. They had one girl attending like 10 tables?! I asked for a refill and it took well over 15 minutes to get it before my husband got up and reminded her, not to mention we got our food super late after ordering. I understand it wasn’t the waitress’s fault because she was doing the best job she could. Hire more ppl pls! Sorry but I will not be coming here again. P. s. They don’t have alcoholic beverages anymore.

Been here several times, and I gotta say the fajitas el pargo is an absolute must try! The shrimp is delicious, the chicken is deliscious and the carne azada is as well. Nothing like seeing all that sizzled together with an array of onions, peppers tomatos and Chile jalapeño. Combined with an horchata (for lunch) or a Modelo for the evening equals one happy and satisfied customer.
Reason why I give 3 stars is because one of the staff members is rude, acts like they don’t want to there. Not the type of atmosphere I like to be around. But the food is a must try

Great food, beers and all seafood. I strongly recommend this place. Now i give it 1 star the place doesn’t sell beer, the food now is not the same.

The micheladas are probably the best I’ve ever tried. Food is amazing and ok priced. However, They recently raised their prices on most menu items, which might upset some regulars. The service is always amazing, and they are always welcoming.

I am a regular ‘To-​go’ customer. This place has very tasty shrimp ceviche. Thats what I order the most when I go. I’ve tried their other ceviches: fish and mixed. Nothing special about those. But my favorite has to be the shrimp tacos! I don’t know what it is about them, but I’m licking my fingers after I finish devouring them.

The service here was no good. The cocktail was poorly made it costs 13.99 and did not have a lot of meat inside I asked for extra lemons and they wanted to charge me for them I asked for my $$ back and they did not honor that. It was a waste of $$. The abalone was not fresh at all it is supposed to be soft this was hard. It was not fresh and mostly not worth it. If u want more for your buck go to shoemaker and imperial on friday between 6 – 8 pm u wont be disappointed there is a seafood truck that sets up and make delicious mariscos. You wont be disappointed. And the price makes it even better.

This place sucks ass!
got here placed my drink order, got my drinks… waited about 20 minutes to place my order and this was because I flagged my waitress down and kindly told her I was ready to order… Ordered my agua chiles and a shrimp ceviche… asked for a refill on my chips and salsa… and also asked for water… waited about 45 minutes to get my food and when my agua chile came out the shrimp were COMPLETELY raw… yes I know Agua chiles cook in the lemon juice but I waited 45 minutes thinking my food was marinated already… And the «agua chile sauce» looked like straight up lemon no chile in that sauce… The shrimp tostada was HORRIBLE and rubbery!!!
Do yourself a favor and DO NOT COME HERE!!!

****Forgot ot mention that when I asked to speak to a manager about the service and how unhappy I was the waitress replied” Hes not here” and I had just seen him there… I told her I wasnt leaving until I spoke to the manager, she walked to the back of the restaurant and knocked on a door and walk in there… she came back to our table and miraculously… you guessed right… The manager just got here…

This place is always good, as long as Miguel is in the kitchen… BUT TODAY I was not as happy as usual. The asada tacos has ground beef mixed with asada steak. :’(
on top of it the tostadas were stale (as usual), compared to their chips.
I still have faith in you Pargo. Do better next time and dont give me less than what I’ve come to expect: good quality Mexican food. ;)

Cranky waitress, bland rice, old beans probably fried a couple days ago, and over zealous prep on basic shredded beef tacos. Usually above average, tonight’s experience makes it hard to want to come back. The only thing I’d ever order from here is the shrimp ceviche but since I’m pregnant, that won’t be any time soon. Maybe they do better on weekends?

El pargo was recommended buy a friend came to try it out. Every thing was great! From the customer service to the drinks (michelada, margarita with tbe beer sticking out of it) and there good. customer service was nice friendly and funny :-) the 7mares caldo is delish aswell as the molcajete. Big portions. It’s my favorite marisco spot.

horrible service! Trying to charge me for lemons. They tacked on 3 bucks. Are you serious!

I give this place 3 stars the food was good another Mexican place with food but where it shocked me that I ask the server for a piece of lime and got charged for it so be careful what u ask for because u might get charged I just wanted to give a lil extra flavor to the salsa

Great place to eat sea food. From the fresh made salsa, «Consommé Presidential» soup, tostada shrimp, and «El Pargo Combo» were some of the dishes I’ve tried and found them to be superb and delicious. I suggest you visit this nice little restaurant with great food and friendly service. PS. Very good «Micheladas» too.

Food is always amazing and the micheladas are a must try! I highly recommend the shrimp tacos and the caldo de camaron.
The staff is always friendly and the place is spotless very clean.
I’ve yet to have something at El pargo that I didn’t enjoy. This has now become a family favorite.
