Pin Up Cakes

I ordered cupcakes and a smash cake for my sons first birthday from this place. I was extremely disappointed with my cupcakes. Half of them had cake hanging over the wrapper. I paid 60 $ for 30 cupcakes I feel at that price they shouldn’t be done messy. Also the smash cake I paid 30 $ for had 2 inches of thick hard frosting that didn’t even taste good, my son couldn’t even get to the cake. I really had high hopes from this place since they have such great reviews. But I was not satisfied with my order at all

Wanted to try a local bakery so my husband and I went to try a few pastries.
Lemon bar, éclair, cream puff and lemon cupcake and we both enjoyed them.

Super disappointed with the cake I ordered for my 1 year old birthday. Design was boring cake taste bad. I ordered 6 inches cake and about 3 inches fill with cream cheese hardly any cake in the middle. Good thing only for 5 of us. I spent $ 55 for this little tiny cake it’s not worth it. Even my husband said was Waste of money. I could got 2 ice cream cake taste 10 times better! Will not recommend to anyone.

All I can say is «AMAZING». We were looking for a centerpiece cake for my wife’s baby shower and found some creations on the internet that we loved. We wanted a three-​tiered cake, with specific colors, and designs. We sent Pin Up Cakes a picture with our edits and they said they would be able to create it. I will admit, I was a little worried that we wouldn’t be getting the exact cake we were picturing in our minds, because we were so specific about what we wanted. Fortunately, I was not let down one bit. The cake came out even better than we could have wished for!
Of course a cake can’t just be judged by how it looks… it also has to taste good. We chose three different flavors: red velvet, cookies and cream, and marble. I don’t think I can choose a favorite. I loved them all. And more importantly, our guests love them all… the cake was pretty much devoured.
If you’re looking for a special, memorable cake you MUST go to Pin Up Cakes. They are truly artists at this bakery. Excellent design, reasonable prices, and flavorful cakes! What more can you ask for? I will definitely back the next time we host a big event.

We chose Pin Up Cakes for our wedding because they have really creative ideas and affordable prices. They are true artists. We knew the cakes looked good, but we were pleasantly surprised that they tasted amazing, too. We went in for a tasting and they had crafted up something amazing and new in addition to what we requested. We ended up going with 3 types of cupcakes: red velvet with cream cheese (always a crowd pleaser) and two seasonal flavors since it was a halloween wedding: pumpkin with cinnamon chocolate frosting and maple with cream cheese frosting (it tasted like a donut!). As for the cake, we had a vague idea of what we wanted but they worked with us to make it truly customized. We chose a chocolate cake with ganache and buttercream frosting.
We got so many compliments on our cupcakes and people were taking boxes of them home. My boss gave some to his kids the next day and they kept asking for more! The most special part was that Pin Up Cakes gave us a surprise of three beautifully decorated cookies with our favorite images, and a picture of us on it as a wedding gift! My brother got his hands on them and said they were so good, he was taking little bites so they would last longer. Not to self: try the cookies next time. They really made our wedding special. I highly recommend them!

First off~ the cakes actually taste D-​liscious! We ordered a costume cake for our son’s 1^st birthday. It was a 3 tier cake and it was expertly made & gorgeous in every detail. Unfortunately some «structural» issues arose & it fell over… It was kinda devastating, however, when I told them about it they were VERY apologetic & made every effort to make it right. Ended up making a replacement (smaller) cake so we could still have the photo for memories. All in all I’m completely satisfied with them & would definitely come back!

Thank you, Pin Up Cakes! I got exactly what I wanted– a delicious and beautifully simple cake that wasn’t ridiculously overpriced. On top of that, your service was excellent. I’m glad I was able to support a great local business!

Late review but I finally got to catching up on my reviews.
I wanted something simple and pretty for my daughter’s 1^st Birthday and Pin Up Cakes did just that! I was so in love with her luau cake and best part was it tasted just as amazing as it looked. We had a cookies and cream cake with cookies and cream filling, it was to die for! The bread was super moist, just delicious. Everyone loved it… kids and grown ups. We will definitely be ordering cakes from here again.
Staff was very friendly and professional. I ordered my cake last minute, luckily they were very accommodating. Thanks Pin Up Cakes!

Ordered a baby shower cake red velvet. Cake felt like glue when we cut into it. Cake taste and looked like it was very old or underbaked.

My mother really wanted something sweet after I she got an oil change across the street… I Unilocaled nearest sweets shop and found this.
I am sorely disappointed… They have a display case to display nothing. They had about 2 cupcakes … A few eclairs and if I remember a slice of cake or cookies? It was not a good look especially if you want to keep first time customers coming back.
Yes I understand their specialties are custom cakes… However I’ve been to plenty places where the single serve sweets and pieces were attractive, clean, fully stocked and on full display.
Since we were there we shrugged our shoulders and just tried it. My mom got a cupcake– which I didn’t try but she said it was very very dry and the frosting tasted almost commercial– you know like from a can (which I doubt they do) but regardless, that’s what she described it as. I love custard so I chose an éclair… Too much puff pastry not enough custard… I believe only one bite I tasted custard… And idk if I went on a bad day but it was stale.
Idk if it’s understaffed bc I also waited a bit to be attended too… A baker was helping another customer customize a cake for a future even I suppose… But I wasn’t even acknowledged… The baker saw me and didn’t call for help… Lame oh well!
I love supporting small business in my area but this place maybe not. Oh well looks like they are doing fine from lil olé me.

Thank you for the amazing birthday cake you guys made for my dad’s 55^th poker party. We ordered lemon cake with cream cheese frosting for the top layer and on the bottom layer chocolate cake with cookies and cream filling. It was a hit. Thank you! My only concern was with the top design because it fell off the cake :(other than that the cake was so perfect!

Excellent! Pinup cakes is creative, delicious and so wonderful to work with. They delivered a cake and Oreo pops to my sons first birthday and everyone loves them. So fun and cute!

DENSE AS A BRICK. I highly recommend you do not order their red velvet cake. Red velvet is a monumental accomplishment if you can do it and I am disappointed to have to say that Pinup Cakes did not deliver. Price was $ 120 for a sheet. Décor was average which surprised me because after ALL the beautiful pics of cakes on Instagram & FB, I thought they would make a sheet of cake look spectacular. I paid extra for a photo but I was still disappointed with how the cake looked overall. The cake was super dense and not moist and just tasted weird. It’s odd too because Ive had their cupcakes before and they were decent! :(. I will not be attempting to get a refund but I do feel that it’s a waste of money. Seriously? A cake at Costco would’ve been better! I wanted to support you PinUp but you failed.

one word… FABULOUS! They recently made our perfect wedding cake!
Our one on one consultation was so much fun. They provided 4 cake samples and 4 filling samples. Together we came up with the perfect combinations for our 4 tier wedding cake. I had no idea what I wanted our cake to look like and the gals were so creative. Together we were able to come up with a gorgeous design. Not only was the cake Beautiful, it was delicious as well (cookies and cream cake with a cookies and cream filling was my fave). I will definitely come back for our cake needs.=)

We needed a wedding anniversary cake and this place was amazing. Visually the cake was so beautiful I didn’t want to slice it and ruin it! The execution was perfect. Little things like edible glitter made the cake stand out! Our guest even enjoyed taking pictures with the cake that’s how stunning it was. We all enjoyed eating this amazing cake! Thank you for making our anniversary so wonderful!

Just had our wedding cake made at Pin UP cakes and I was taken away with the detail and finally the taste of our cake. It was Delicious!!! Could not have asked for more. Thank you Pin Up Cakes most definitely my bakery from now on

I love Pin Up Cakes! The two owners are super creative. They are always able to make something amazing out of a simple idea I offer. I buy cakes from here for every occasion and am never let down. I am in love with the Cookies & Crème cupcakes! Definitely a good choice
The cakes always taste amazing and the buttercream is perfect! I have no idea what the mixed reviews about it are, but it’s another one of my favorites. It is hard to have just one favorite when all of their cakes and goodies are amazing!

I’ve bought two cakes from here a couple years ago and I loved the design as well as the chocolate taste! Prices were reasonable and all their designs are absolutely amazing.
I’m also thinking of having them design a wedding cake for me! :)

Found this gem while on a desperate hunt for a local bakery. Went in and asked for a «pancake“cake and pin up cakes exceeded my every hope. Not only did the cake look AMAZING, it tasted DELICIOUS!!! The cake was center of attention, next to my 2 year old at his lumberjack themed party. Need a cake… use these gals. You will not be disappointed.
