Very beautiful quaint gem hidden in the heart of uptown Whittier. Aside from the warm fully decorated space, the owner, Irma, is the nicest and most attentive hairstylist I’ve ever been to. I had previously been getting my hair done elsewhere but decided to part ways as I am very big on customer service on top of the hairstyling itself and I felt I needed to try this place out. You are greeted by Irma and her friendly staff who offer you coffee and always greet with a smile. The wait time is never too long and she makes sure to contact you should the current appointment take longer than expected or any time conflicts. The time it takes for her to get it done too is very reasonable and she really tailors to your specific needs. I usually entrust her to style as she sees fit and she never disappoints! I just went from long to short bob and removed the ombré and I feel 20lbs lighter and feel 5 years younger!
Additionally, my husband too left his barber to come with Irma and he is very particular about his hair. This is his go-​to spot. Case in point, if you are ever in the area or are a local, you should definitely try this place out! It’s affordable, friendly, and above all, great quality of work and products used on your hair.
The nice perk is you can always walk around uptown before your appointment or after to show off your new do at a local bar or restaurant

Save your money. Go to a professional elsewhere. This «hairdresser» if she even merits that title does NOT know what she is doing. Her way of doing hair is like going into a time machine back to the 90’s with chunty rayitos so harshly painted on. No subtle blend or multifaceted color. So unless you like that look, save your money and go to a pro.

She instinctively knows what products to use on my hair that makes it super shiny and healthy. I trust her implicitly with my hair, what cut and color looks best and every style she has tried on my hair gets tons of compliments from my family, friends and coworkers. She makes me look at least 7 years younger with the cute styles she creates for me!
