It used to be an amazing store. Something happened. Perhaps a new store manager?

Nice store, produce looks good, but there is always long lines. Not the place to go to for a quick item pick up. They need more cashiers, better shopping cart service and bags.

This WAS my go-to store, but the last couple of weeks it’s gone downhill. I even asked if they were closing soon because the produce department was disgusting. The lettuce was all rotten and so were the bagged, fresh veggies and they never have good bananas. It’s either neon green bananas or brown bananas. Ugh. I complained to the cashier and she said next time to let someone know. Um, I thought I was? I’ll be going to the one on Whittier/Greenleaf now.

I never go to this one– usually I visit the one on Washington or the new one on Whittier– but decided to try it to get yogurt and another item they didn’t have. The guy sorting chicken in the back was helpful When you walked it, it smelled– misty or moldy… old ventilation… Waited in line of like 5 people with only one young guy checker– he was trying and called someone named Valerie who in the 60 seconds of one item being purchased led to this negative review… She has either hates her job or has total resting bitch face… I bought my yogurt and she didn’t bag it– Confused I said I’d like a bag– she said oh we charge 10 cents and looked like me like I was the idiot for not knowing their policy(no other smart in the final in the area charges) and if they did fine– She could of let me know before I ran my debit card… She just didn’t care. Her attitude Made the place look even more ghetto then the older market smell. I had just told my brother to there after the gym but now they lost 2 customers.

Friendly staff. Jay is so helpful. Clean store. Great deals. Always have fresh produce. The service clerks are very helpful. Seems like the staff is always working hard restocking items.

I haven’t experienced any bad customer service(crossing fingers — hopefully not) but I must say this one is convenient, we came, got a couple of rotisserie chickens, some chips, some produce, dips and were out the door in no time. Bring your bag for this one, I think it’s unincorporated(I still don’t get the rules, some do it, some don’t, all same area? Go figure? Yes I know they’ll eventually have to, but for now it’s irritating not knowing which ones do and don’t — whatever… Haven’t gone much, so I’ll have to give more thorough review later. Montebello seems to be my go to for now and this one just being convenient when I’m not driving home from LA.

Clean store. Customer service people on floor are kind of rude. Majority of the woman workers are snobby.

I live in the area and have been here a few times since it opened. Everytime I go in there the stockers act like I’m in their way. The cashiers act like they are hating every second of their lives. I feel bad for the people who work here because i can tell they are stressed but I am also at the point when I will go somewhere else more enjoyable. Management needs to do something. Bad customer service!!!

Brand new store so I will update my review later but for now I dinged them some stars because their customer service needs some improvement but I understand it’s brand new and like all new things their might be some glitches that need some getting used to. The line weren’t as long as I thought they would be and the girls were nice. The store is very clean with wide aisle and great deals and if you have kids in a baseball team it is a great store to find plenty of drinks and snacks. Will be back as they have a great produce section with fresh fruits and vegetables.

This location of Smart and Final just opened so I decided to give it a try. I grabbed a cart and it was brand new but broken. It should have prevented me from going in. I thought to myself how could they have broken carts? They just opened a few days ago. I didn’t have a lot to purchase but the items I needed are great from Smart and Final. Being a chef, I’ve been a customer since the early 80’s back when it was a wholesaler. It is one of the few places to find manufacturing cream. They no longer carry it from what I was told in store. Great!#$ At least I will be able to get some salad dressing and Sterno. I got the Sterno but they were out of First Street Caesar salad dressing. I asked someone there. «How can you be out of that?» I go to the checkout, which is empty, and I am asked if I would like to buy a bag? Say what? She didn’t ask how I was or if I found everything ok. She asked if I wanted to buy a bag. They charge for bags to carry the groceries that they just sold to you. Nice huh? This was my first and will be my last visit to this location.

Grand opening today. Free reusable grocery bags with purchase. Its very busy and parking is a pain! The store laid out is convienent with wide aisles. My favorite departments were the fresh produce, bulk goods including coffee and a great meat selection. The specials for the grand opening were good and run the entire week. The location is much closer then the La Habra store so I’ll be a regular here!
