Tocayos Barber Shop

Called in around 9a. m and made an appt. For my son @ 6p.m.
I drive all the way from O. C and arrive around 5:45.
When i walked in was asked if I had an appt?
Told them yes@ 6 w. «Louie» he jumps into the conversation out of nowhere and shouts” I double booked” so i will get you not after this guy but the guy after him, which HE SCHEDULED at the same time.
These guys made a small remarks about what he did!
Taking it light.
Not sure if the owner was there, but if he was couldn’t tell the difference to be honest.
Will never come back to this place.
Ended up going to Down the street to TIP TOPS BARBER, where they were very attentive towards my son and I, Cool Guys and not your ordinary barbershop.
As far as Tocas or whatever its called, I wouldn’t give them a penny off the ground!

Sal cut my 18month old son’s hair and did a great job. I called to see if they can cut his hair and they accommodated us without an appointment. Sal was very gentle and friendly with my son. I like how they address you by your name and make you feel so welcomed. when you first walk in your impression is that they only do men’s hair but they are very kid friendly. All the guys there are really nice and very welcoming. All the barbers look like a bunch of bad boys but once you start talking to them they are very down to earth. I’ll defiantly be bringing Adrian back here for his routine cuts.

Based on all the other Unilocaler reviews, I wanted to try this place out. I’m very glad I got around to it. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted in a very respectful manner. All the barbers are awesome, professional and funny. It’s usually a drag having to wait so my son can have a hair cut, but time flew by with all the jokes and laughter going on. My son loved it and we will be returning. I suggest you call in advance to make an appointment… This was my second time around, by luck a spot had opened up.

If you are meticulous when it comes down to whose chopping you up and don’t like overspending well this just happens to be the barbershop you need to try. Not only are the barbers professional when it comes to dealing with my two wild young boys… Ages 3 and 4. Need I say more. But they leave them with the exact haircut that I asked for. As for the older gents, I have yet to see a customer walk outta there with any issues. Do yourself a big favor and try this shop out. I’m betting your not gonna return to your old shop once these guys are done with you.

I have been around the Whittier area looking for a great shop for my young boys. I’ve been here 4 years and I finally found our shop. One of my sons is tender headed and ends up crying by the time the barber is done. Not this time! He can’t wait to come back, he said he loves this place and wants to come here from now on. We felt welcomed. My boys were happy and I’m happy. Great haircuts too!

My 4 year old son and I came in for a haircut yesterday. To say that he hates getting his hair cut would be the understatement of the century. He squirms and he screams like he’s on fire. Despite my son’s antics, Louie freaking killed it. It’s the best haircut, by a mile, that he’s had. The rest of the shop was really cool about it too. They just turned up the music and kept cracking jokes, only louder. Thank you Louie and everyone at Tocayos for the great cuts. We’ll definitely be back.

My son loves coming here. He always leaves with a fresh cut. Great service and amazing barbers!

Best Barber Shop I’ve ever been to! All the guys are friendly and funny, best place to stop by to get you haircut! They even had the Grinch for the kids this holiday season

Came here last weekend to get my 1yr old son his first haircut. Soon as we stepped in we were greeted and helped. We spoke to Gabe and told him what kind of cut we wanted our son to have and he delivered. He did a great cut on my son considering he was a bit scared and moved quite a bit. The place was clean and all the barbers were welcoming and talkative. Made us laugh and more importantly we were comfortable being there. I highly recommend this Barber shop. I may even let my hair grow after 10yrs of shaving my head and see what these guys can do for me.

I used to take my sons to this barber shop and I’m proud to say that weren’t there for years. My sons got their hair curvy David and by Lou. While I sat and had conversations with them all including the great Gabe. It’s ironic that I’m writing this while I sit in another barber shop but in the San Fernando valley wishing I was in Whittier. There is no other barber shop like Tocayo’s!!! I highly recommend this place. Miss you guys!

My son is a high functioning Autistic young man, so that makes it hard to find a barber that makes him feel comfortable. So after attempting to go to a few other Barber Shops in Whittier, we ended up finding this little gem. As soon as we walked in, we were treated to a very enthusiastic and friendly greeting. I could tell right off the bat that I was going to like this place, and after spending a little while there, watching my son interact with Sal (His Barber) and the other Barbers there, I knew my son had found himself a new place to get his hair cut. It felt like we had been going to this place for years. I just can’t emphasize enough, how friendly everyone was to both of us.
So here’s my take on this place.

Well, we love this place and plan on making it are permanent Barber Shop!

First time here the barber have me a good haircut and fade. I have them a 4 star since the price of $ 15.00 is a little high compared to barbershops in the surrounding area between $ 10.00 & $ 12.00. Over all great atmosphere when you walk in, and the barbers a polite. You can even make appointments.

The guys here are friendly and funny and Louie cut my son hair cut he did a very good job!!!

Brought my son here once for an emergency cut and have never taken him anywhere else since! These guys are great! Gabriel, the owner, is one of the most down to earth people I know. They are all so welcoming when you arrive and have the greatest and funniest conversations with everyone! We are always extremely satisfied with their work and my son just loves coming here. David has also cut my sons hair and has done a great clean job! We always look forward to haircut day! Keep up the awesome work Tocayo’s!!!

I toke my 2yr old in today for the first time. I have been looking for a place that could handle giving him a hair cut. My son usually cries, screams and moves like a ninja so the past several cuts have been horrible. Since i first walked in i was greated and Gabe made my son n i feel very welcomed. Great service awesome prices! Hard to find but its in the 7 – 11 parking lot, do not go to the other shop in front that easy to see! Lol The guys here are friendly and welcoming! I have a cry baby two year old who seemed like cake to them to doing his hair! Thanks Lou for being so nice to my baby and giving him his wonderful holiday hair cut!
