Bradly Fair has lots of great stores but also a handful of unique stores. Backwoods is a store I will go and stroll through to see what I may need for my next amazing adventure. They have the best of the best quality for your adventures from camping, hiking, etc. You name it they have it. The best part of it is how knowledgable their staff is because they enjoy all types of adventures.
I always shop their big Spring and Fall sale. Every so often they also run a bigger sale on their sale/​clearance goods. Their staff are good with remembering who you are after only a few times shopping there.
A few of my fav things I have purchased from them are my tent, sleeping bag, & my toad & co pants (great for all year round. Most of their clothing is made to be breathable for all times of the year.

Saturday, August 11, 2012, I shopped and purchase waterproof KEEN shoes at BACKWOODS. I wasn’t quite sure exactly what I wanted but with Paul helping me to decide, I am very happy with my new shoes. Paul was very helpful. He is an excellent employee. His service at that store couldn’t have been any better. Thanks!

REI… lite
If you the names REI, Moosejaw are familiar to you or if you know what TNF stands for this is the place for you. Sadly Wichita is lacking in many of the big name camping/​outdoors stores, but Backwoods helps fill the gap as best as a small store can. They have a wide selection of all your backpacking needs, from titanium sporks to hiking boots to merino wool hiking shirts and everything in-​between. While I still prefer to shop for most of my gear at REI due to their dividend points anything that I need quickly and still want to try out this is the go spot.
