A hidden gem and open late on most nights. Food is amazing, I always get the pork lo-mein which is a huge portion. Prices appear high at first glance but always plan on splitting a meal as the portions are massive. The food is always hot and fresh so plan on waiting a few minutes longer but it is worth the wait.

Their spicy lo mein is bomb! I usually go there just to order that so if you have yet to try it, it is a must try the next time you go. The cost may seem a bit pricey, but the portions are large

Hours are steange, but in a good way. They open from early afternoon and are open i believe past 2am which is awesome if you don’t want to hit up IHOP. The food price is alightly higher than other places, nut the portion sizes are insane, you almost have to share with all your friends to even eat it all. The owners are nice and interactive, they are very nice. I would recommend Chicken Lo Mein(spicy) Fried Rice & Curry Chicken are awesome too.

Just getting out of the bar/club and your tummy is growling? This is the place to be. Basically majority of the menu is in big portions so you can share it in a big group. My favorite is the spicy combo lo mein! They changed the noodles to smaller ones but it still taste the same! Plus late at night they play backstreet boys.

I have always loved Bai Wei throughout the years but had not been in about a year. I visited last week and was surprised to see their prices had raised! I felt they were already a bit pricey but for the amount they give, I decided that it balances out. Things have changed though. My husband and I ordered chicken fried rice, Kung pao chicken and an order of crab Rangoon. The Kung Pao Chicken was a very small amount and not worth the amount we spent. And then crab Rangoon was very dry and not tasty and there was barely any filling. The fried rice was good though. It will be awhile before we give Bai Wei another try with so many other restaurants nearby.

Great authentic Chinese. Portions are huge but very pricy for what you get. Still highly recommend. Great late night option as well

I eat Chinese food often. I was underwhelmed by the food here. We ordered some szechuan shrimp dish. It was fried shrimp in sauce. We ordered a szechuan fish dish. It was fried fish in sauce. I ordered the chicken fried rice. It was lacking in ingredients but there was plenty of rice. I ordered the eggplant. It was a bit sweet for my liking. The host/waiter was attentive but would occasionally yell across the room instead of walking over and talking to someone. I would not return here.

To start I’ll say that I’ve not eaten here earlier than midnight. This place is open later than the bars, so it’s one place to go if you have the after party munchies. What is unique to this place is the crawfish. You and your friends can share a large pan full of them. If you haven’t been to a crawfish boil near the Gulf this may be the next best thing. Their noodle dishes and egg drop soup are worth the visit as well. One drawback, the staff must really like The Backstreet Boys because they keep blasting that cacophony over the speakers.

Love bai wei. Always end up getting sesame or general chicken and fried rice or Lo mein. Really the best Lo mein in town along with several other dishes. A little pricey but definitely worth it, and it’s a good place to go to past midnight after a few drinks.

Fast, friendly service. Great food. And a ton of it. I ordered salt and pepper chicken with sliced jalapenos. They made it very spicy, and that’s just the way I like it. It was delicious, and I had enough left over for later in the day. The egg rolls were mostly cabbage, but they were okay. Their prices are slightly higher than what you would expect for an Asian restaurant. But I think the quality of the food is worth it. And because they stay open til 3am. I look forward to trying some of their other dishes.

Great Chinese food! Friendly staff! Decent prices! Large portions! Started off with complimentary hot/sour soup. It was indeed hot. I like spicy so it was perfect. Got the shredded pork with garlic sauce and it was great. Very spicy as well and huge portion. I was hungry and I’m a big guy and could only eat half of it. Plenty left for lunch tomorrow. Staff was very friendly, made recommendations for next visit. Will definitely go back.

This place has ruined other local Chinese restaurants for me. The fried rice is like none other in Wichita. The complimentary egg drop or hot and sour soup are fantastic. The portions are hefty. Bobby always provides good service with a sense of humor. And the best part? The hours! It’s great to have an option other than IHOP or Denny’s at 2AM on a Saturday. I hope they stay around for a long time.

First, Its not a buffet or dimsum as the title states. Love this place. Real chinese food. They have some of your typical Chinese American dishes but stear clear opt for the more authentic foods. Not sure what to getm? ask Bobby or his mom they can make some great recommendations for you. Crispy tofu, combo spicy lomein, spicy eggplant, baiwei chicken, pepper chicken, shredded pork with dried bean curd. If it’s available and you are adventurous try the beef tendon. Its a beefy melt in your mouth tastegasm.

This place is okay. We ordered several different items and shared– family style. Food was pretty decent. Standard Americanized Chinese food with options of a few authentic Chinese items. I think we stayed mostly with the Americanized stuff. We had chow mein, fried rice, General chicken, Mongolian beef and maybe some other items, I forgot. Everything was pretty good but nothing was WOW! fantastic! Someone ordered crawfish which I tried a couple and was not impressed. I guess this is one of the few places that offer it. While it’s not no Boiling Crab, I guess it is good for your limited choices of crawfish. Beggars can’t be choosers right? Portions were freakin’ HUGE though. Each plate was more like a platter. Definitely a place to come with a big group and share. I think the major draw for them is that they are opened late, portions are huge & they offer crawfish.

All I can say is WOW! Bai Wei truly is one of those places where you go in expecting mediocre tasteless fried rice. I ordered the Combination Fried Rice and the Shredded Pork with Garlic Sauce and might I say… I have about 4 more meals of food left sitting in my fridge! When you dine in, you get HEAPS and HEAPS of DELICIOUS fried rice(not the mediocre tasteless rice you had expected to recieve) and free soup!(Your choice between egg drop or hot and sour.) It’s also very reasonably priced. For the fried rice I will now enjoy well into the weekend, it was $ 11 and SO delicious. He told me if I wanted a «spicy» dish(which I most certainly did) to get the Pork in Garlic Sauce. I followed his recommendation, assuming I’d end up with what most places call«spicy» that would not really be what I was looking for. But WOW… much to my surprise it was super spicy and SUPER tasty! The meat was very tender and it was EXACTLY what I was looking for! Best part? They are open Tuesday — Sunday 4pm to 3:30am! That’s not a mistype, 3:30AM!!! If I could count how many times I had been sitting at home at 2 o’clock in the morning craving Asian food. and now just a block away I can have it! 5 stars all day long! So wonderful!

I could’ve sworn this place was closed for the longest time, but it turns out it opens for dinner, then continues to stay open long into the late night. I continue to maintain that I don’t know enough about China complexities to judge whether a place really presents an authentic view of Chinese cuisine, but despite the server’s insistence that my Shredded Pork with Garlic Sauce was«very traditional,» I somehow doubt it. Regardless, the breaded strips of pork were stir fried with some thinly-sliced bell peppers, onions, and tien tsin chiles for heat. The sauce which combined these ingredients was sweet and garlicky, though neither in an overwhelming sense. Fresh and good, which is good enough. I do know that the complimentary egg drop soup was very good and contained the most amount of egg I’ve ever seen in a version of the dish. So they got that going for them. So we’re back to where we started. At least the mother working the front of the house seemed nice, and the food was fresh, which you can say for most other wok-based restaurants, too. At the very least, there’s probably not many Chinese restaurants around here that offer mudbugs. FORTUNECOOKIE: You will have much to be thankful for in the coming year.

I used to go here all the time for crawfish but we went one time and got a whole pan of far-from-fresh crawfish. It was horrible. Barely ate any of it. I go to Phở Hot for my crawfish now which has better flavor and definitely fresher! I also got the House Fried Rice and the Lo Mein here, they give you HEAPING amounts of it if you dine in. The fried rice is delicious. You also get free soup when you dine in!
