I’m not sure if the terrible wifi or the antiquated a/c units tops my list of gripes. This is my second stay at this particular hotel. Last time I complained directly to the hotel. Now that I see they have done nothing to address the service in the downstairs café or the spotty and intermittent wifi, I will not stay here again.

We were happy enough with our stay. Most importantly our room and bedding was incredibly clean. The downstairs bar and dining area is great. Pool was also maintained well. Yes this hotel is ever so slightly outdated. However it is very clean.

Great staff, clean new rooms, great breakfast coupon, fair price($ 130), comfy bed, clean towels. I read other reviews and was worried but it must have been cleaned up since then. The only thing the room could’ve used was a new tub, and it wasn’t bad, just oddly shaped so it didn’t drain 100%, and I like my pillows a bit more firm than what they had. I’d stay here again

Construction /renovations are still on going. My room was not renovated and has the same quality as a Fairfield or less. It has a feel of a quality inn. The amount I paid for a room versus the quality I received was not what I expected from a Courtyard. I also paid $ 15.00 for a Makers on the rocks. It wasn’t a double. Just a shot of makers.

Clean, but a little bit dated. The lobby bistro is nice, but unlike the other Marriott brands, there is no complementary breakfast. Recommend the Fairfield closer to downtown. If you have business in this direction, the staff was very friendly and there are very good restaurants nearby. Downgraded for lack of comparative complementarity breakfast and outdated furniture and rooms.

We had an issue with our online booking company that was no fault of the Courtyard. They were really understanding and tried to help as much as they could. Unfortunately, the place was totally booked and at max capacity. We were under the impression that the sofabed would accommodated two people, but it’s only for one person… again…an issue with the online booking company, not the Courtyard. All of the roll-away beds had been reserved for other rooms for the two nights we were there, so I ended up sleeping on the floor. Not the greatest experience, but I survived. The location is awesome. Walking distance to several bars/restaurants in the area. I woke up early on Saturday and unintentionally found a Farmer’s Market only a block(or two) away. If I find myself in the area in the future, I’d definitely consider staying here.

This hotel barely earns 3 stars, but I’m giving it the benefit of the doubt. The staff were all very nice from check-in to check-out. Having a pleasant experience when you arrive at a hotel is always a huge plus. This Courtyard has recently renovated their lobby and it looks very nice. It also looks like they’ve replaced the carpet and wall coverings in the hallways, but the new carpet is simply atrocious. The indoor pool area needs a major overhaul and they have the tiny whirlpool shut down because it does not meet ADA standards(per the note outside the pool area). The rooms were not part of the renovation of this facility but they really should have been. My room had Courtyard Marriott carpeting that looks like what I’ve seen at hundreds of Courtyards nationwide over the past 11+ years or so, except it was incredibly worn. The wallpaper in the bathroom in my room was peeling off the wall and there was dirt in one corner and what looked like old bug eggs. Ick. The wood furniture in the room was in terrible condition and was covered in dents, nicks and scratches. The desk chair was too low for the desk, but appeared to be broken in the«down» position. There was a loveseat in the room with patterned fabric that did not belie the disgusting black stains that were worn into the cushions from far too many years of human oils rubbing into the cushions without ever having any upholstery cleaning. On a really positive note for me, this was the first time in several stays that a Marriott brand hotel has not downgraded my room, so I got the King room I reserved. The pillows at the Marriott chain remain the bane of my existence. They’re the world’s worst down pillows. They truly are. They barely have enough down in them to have any shape at all and no matter how you arrange them or fold them over, they’re just not comfortable. There is a small dining area in the lobby. They serve re-heated pre-made meals and alcohol is available as well. So for the condition of the room, I’d say I overpaid. For the over $ 140 including taxes that I paid, I’d hazard a guess that I could have found a much nicer room somewhere in Wichita.

They have the entire lobby completely closed for renovation. Dust is everywhere, loud drilling/hammering at wee hours of the morning. The staff could care less about not having a place to meet in lobby. Floors were slippery, safety hazard due to all the dust/sand in the air and on the tile/concrete floors. We had 4 rooms for 4 nights, spending over $ 4,000 on this stay alone and to make things right they simply offered to give me some Mariott Rewards points that is barely enough to get one free night at SELECT locations only. Terrible customer service.

It is an OK hotel with a nice staff. The basics are all there and the hotel says that they are going through a the major Courtyard remodel in 2012.

50% of my life is spent travelling for work. The elite night count in my Marriott profile is at 89 nights so far this year, and I have just as many nights in my Hilton profile. So as you would imagine, making various Marriott and Hilton properties my «homes away from home», means that I know my hotels. AND I am very picky about them. This Courtyard fell short of my expectations. The lobby was nice and looked recently renovated, but the rooms were a little on the shabby side. They were clean enough but had a kind of worn, lived-in feeling. My biggest issue with this hotel is that they refuse to air condition their hallways. I was in Wichita in the middle of September when the temps were still in the 80’s. I hated the fact that I broke into a sweat while waiting for the elevator because it was 90 degrees in the hallway! Hopefully I will not have to grace Wichita with my presence again any time soon, but if I do I will make sure to check out the other Marriott properties in the city.
