Are you looking for the best breakfast in the state of Kansas? Are you looking for fun servers who joke around and treat you like family? Doo-Dah delivers on both fronts. I normally get The Brutus, which is chicken fried steak over hash browns, then it has a meat gravy poured over it and two eggs. It is delicious and don’t get sticker shock on the prices, you will not be hungry again for ten hours. It fills you up!

It’s not much to look at, and it’s just off the expressway so it can be a challenge to get to, but despite what it looks like on the outside(or inside) for that matter, this is definitely a go-to-spot for a Sunday brunch or breakfast any day on Wichita. On Sunday’s there’s only the buffet. That’s ok, as the buffer line is complemented by the server delivering numerous additional treats and plates to the table for sharing. Breakfast burrito smothered in green chile AND a jalapeño sausage gravy may be our fave, but you must have some monkey bread, or bread pudding made from monkey bread, or the meatloaf, or or or… Good options, good food(and 3 kinds of bacon + pork belly is awesome). Service is great, friendly, helpful, chatty. Plates and tables cleaned quickly. Difficult to find something to be picky about. Doodah is now one of our faves when passing through.

I was finally able to make it over to Doo-Dah Diner this week and was really impressed by the food! I loved the complimentary monkey bread they bring to your table while you’re waiting for your food. Since we had a big group we called in a day early to reserve a table and I think that was a wise move as it got busy quickly! I ordered the biscuits and gravy because all the reviews got me curious, it was absolutely delicious! I was happy that I had leftovers for the next morning. I did order a side of scrambled eggs but never received that and noticed that the waitress never even put that in. The coffee wasn’t anything special as some reviews led on, just plain old coffee. I’ll definitely be coming back though! Reasonably priced as well!

The food is so good here! The staff is super friendly and helpful. It is super crowded though(cause its so good!) you will wait for awhile here. I think they need a bigger building!

When I travel, I love to find good, local places to eat. Unilocal reviews sent me here, and I’m so glad they did. I had a great breakfast! Began with the cinnamon monkey bread. I promptly ate the whole thing. I could have paced myself, but why? It was so good! I ordered Tanyas Benny, which basically combined all my fave foods(avocado, bacon, eggs) into one amazing dish. I left with quite a food baby and no regrets :) Great food in a charming local place. What else could you ask for?

First time to the restaurant and I was informed there was a gas leak. Waited about an hour or so for food so didn’t really mind the wait. I ordered the crab cake Benedict since it was the best seller, with orange juice. The orange juice was very fresh. The crab cake Benedict was overall alright. The crab cake Benedict portion was overwhelming, which was a good thing. Taste wise, I think it was pretty bland after your finish the crab cake. Might not be my sort of taste but I recommend trying it. Might come back for the banana French toast, it looked pretty good.

The 20– minute wait was well worth it to get into the tiny dining area. The waiting area seems bigger! They aren’t kidding when they say to call ahead, because the place stays packed! The food is outstanding, the wait staff is excellent. Did I mention how delicious and awesome the food is?

Cool breakfast/brunch lunch spot. Easily the best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had. The complementary monkey bread is wonderful also.

I stumbled across this diner while in town for a show at the INTRUST Bank Arena and couldn’t be happier about it. It was a Sunday morning, so I’m not sure if this is what they always do but they had a buffet and the ability to choose anything from the menu in an all-in-one deal. I don’t think it could have worked out better for me, because there were so many options and the reviews for this place suggested quite a few dishes. Anyway, I was very pleased with the service and absolutely stunned by how delicious the crab cake benedict and banana bread french toast was. OMG. I’ve been drooling and dreaming over the thought of those two things since I’ve left! Unfortunately I live a couple of hours away, so I can only return once in a while, but I most definitely will!

I have never been a breakfast person, until I went to Doo Dah Diner! This place is absolutely spectacular! It has become a tradition for my husband and I to get up every Saturday morning and go have Breakfast at Doo Dah Diner. Their Doo Dah Diner Steak and Eggs is absolutely amazing. I literally have dreams about and look forward to having it every Saturday! I highly recommend Doo Dah Diner.

Best breakfast in Wichita! This is my second time here and I will be coming back. Not as often as I like because I am POSITIVE I gain weight each time. I had the crispy corned beef hash, and a biscuit with gravy. The gravy had tons of sausage and is clearly homemade. Not that powdered stuff that they add water and sausage. Gross. The crispy corned beef hash is slow cooked corned beef cut into chunks, and is nothing like the corned beef hash of your child hood. We all know it, the hormel stuff that is in a can and smells like dog food. Except it’s cheaper than dog food and I wouldn’t dare torture a pet with that stuff. But I digress. There were yummy bits of red and yellow bell pepper, onions, and potato in the hash as well. It came with 2 eggs and a salsa verde sauce on top. Different and delicious. They serve monkey bread pieces while you wait for your food. Our server was awesome. I had her last time. She has tattoos, dark hair, pretty, and amazingly friendly. She is exactly the type of server you want to spend your breakfast time with. Use the call ahead seating option. If you have a large group, it will save you a little time. Your whole party has to be there in order to be seated(just like at other restaurants), so if they haven’t arrived, don’t be a jerk to the hostess when they can’t seat you. It’s always busy here, so please from one Unilocaler to another, use some restaurant etiquette.

To me this place is awesome as we had a pretty large group and like others have said previously you have to get there early for a seat or expect to wait. I had the triple D and everything was scrumptious and will definitely be back to try the outside in burger, waffle and chicken and biscuit/gravy. Our server was awesome and continued to come back to check on us as others helped with refills on coffee, soda etc. Great restaurant and excellent food!

Good food and atmosphere. You can tell this is a Wichita staple and a big hit with the locals. Pros: –Good atmosphere –THEFRIES! –Creative Eggs Benedict Options –Fun lunch counter you can sit at –The Variety on the menu was great –Super Cheap — $ 20 for two people at lunch — swag for purchase if your into that –good parking options –hooks under the bar for your purse! Cons: –Lady behind the counter was no BS, kinda rude –We left smelling like a greasy hot mess –The eggs Benedict was 3 stars — The Holandaise sauce was not hot and since I was sitting at the counter could see they just put it in a squeezy bottle luke warm at best. However I did like the addition of Bacon and avocado.

Update! The score hasn’t changed but I feel that I may have given an underwhelming review the first time around. This little whole in the wall diner has expanded, they now have more room for customers during the rush hours. They must have taken on more wait staff as well because the last time I visited this gem the whole place was cleaner, brighter, and over all I had a better experience. The walls are adorned with Wichita memorabilia so the hometown pride is undeniable which really strikes a cord with me. High praise for Doo Dah, if you are in the area give it a shot.

A must try when your in Wichita Kansas I arrived at 12:45. I walked into the entrance. And their was a line going out to the door but o quickly realized that it was for the cash register to pay for your meal. The lunch crowd. I was greeted quickly and sat at the bar I got the Triple D and a side of biscuit and gravy Timi’s Benny — best eggs Benedict I have eaten. Eggs avocado bacon all perfect Chrispy corn beef hash. I don’t think I’ve had good corn beef till today Biscuits n gravy. That was good Banana bread French toast was good and sweat. A little to much for me but I could see my wife and kids devouring it. Not present at time All individually plated. So stuffed that I left half of my biscuits and half of the French toast. I know I’m a horrible person. With a soda it came out to $ 21.76 but for the quality of the food it was worth it. I think if it was in LA you would easily pay $ 30 or more for this meal

All I can say is yum. This is a small diner. Long tables like a cafeteria or lunch room in high school. They have an entrance room in which people wait and also pay for their meals as they leave. They have an odd set up. I ordered a simple omelette. Sweet maple bacon, cheddar and an english muffin. Coffee too. The whole bill was less than $ 10. The waitress behind the counter was fast and nice. Good service. She gave me this sticky bread stuff. I don’t remember the name. I had a tiny taste. It was ok. The omelette? Delicious! Light and simple. Coffee? Good! I’ll return for more options. Next time I won’t go low carb so I can try more options! They had all kinds of amazing things!
