The best gym in town! By far! This ones a little small but less crowded! Every member of the staff pushes you to achieve your fitness goals! If it wasn’t for this gym I would still be working out with a bunch of people at the y who don’t know what they’re doing while they have their kids running circles around them! No thank you! If you’re serious about working out;Genesis is the place to go!

I wouldn’t recommend this place if it was the last gym in town. Sure, it’s decent, but very expensive for what you get. And, if you get laid off from your job, they basically laugh in your face if you ask if there’s any way you can work something out. I’ve been phoning for three weeks now trying to get anything, always get a «we’ll call you back later». If you’re interested in a gym, skip Genesis and head to the Y.

I normally go to the west Central gym but come here on days that I’m not working. It’s usually less crowded than over at the other site, and the staff is less friendly(I’m horrible with names and faces, but they seem to remember me on the west side). The equipment is great. New enough for me and a TV at every cardio machine. I don’t even use most of the features. A rock climbing wall like at the Rock Rd location would be awesome, but that’s being picky. I don’t see a need for a track, since there are treadmills. If I had one complaint, it’s that I don’t like the options for triceps machines downstairs. First, you have to practically part the testosterone cloud as you enter the weights area. It’s not that I’m intimidated by men whose single pec is as large as my head. But it does make me pause before trying out any machine where I have to remove the 50lb disc weight that the prior user had kindly left. I’m sure I could ask anybody to help me and they would, but I don’t like the thought of doing that daily. So I usually use the machines where you can easily set your weight with a pin. Unfortunately, the ones at this location are not built for a 5ft tall woman. I can’t adjust the machine enough to fit me. So it’s back to the old school free weights…

If I could give 2.5 stars, I would… but 3 would be too generous The Good: Convenient(for me) location Usually not terribly crowded REAL people work out here… not the sea of plastic surgery victims that you see on the east side. The Bad: Hand towels are HARD, I mean crunchy like velcro, and REEK of bleach. Treadmills are just meh … seem more than a few years old Boneheads get away with dropping weights for fun No track Every time I visit, I am troubled by the sight of the guy who works in the front office. Not sure if he’s the boss, but well… how do I say this nicely? He’s overweight!!! What type of message does that send? It’s almost comical, really. There’s usually food on his desk. The front desk staff is hit and miss. Some of them are friendly and attentive, but I find that most of them are inconvenienced by having to break their attention from their phones to say a sincere«hi» or «thanks» or anything. Overall, it’s just OK. Could be a lot better for the price.
