I’ve just stopped here a couple of times but I will be back! Delicious! Homemade soups, meat pies, hummus. Very friendly and hospitable.

I love the chicken curry croissants! MIF Deli has unique flavors to all their items. They also have homemade dessert! I came here two times already and plan to return!

Maybe it’s because of the traveling I’ve done where I had some great high quality Mediterranean food that set the bar high … But this place didn’t do it for me. It’s a decent place if you’re in the area & Are new to Mediterranean food. Definitely will fill you up but the ingredients /Meat they used didn’t feel that fresh or look that fresh.

TOMATOSOUP! That is all. I come to this place whenever I’m craving some Mediterranean food. Everything is good: hummus, meat pie, fattoush salad, sandwiches, homemade desserts. I like how quaint the restaurant is and the staff is helpful and polite. Order the tomato soup!

Definitely the best Fatoush salad in town. I love their Gyro and humas. The owner came out and visited with us. They are known for their meat pies and I will try one next time. Only open until 8:00 and closed on Sundays.

If you love N&J as much as me but need an occasional change, MIF deli is a safe bet. Slightly more expensive and more limited seating, this menu can take one into more European territory over what N&J offer. Located in a strip mall just south of Edgemoore park, you can find that easily misread sign between a dry cleaners and a fast food joint. Friendly staff and a rotating display of specials, my go to is the chicken pot pie with a fattoush salad. Not crispy but a gentle flakey crust, there’s no going wrong if your a pot pie lover like myself. The fattoush is served with black olives. Not a fan of olives, it’s worth picking through to enjoy the remainder of the salad.

Excellent Mediterranean food. The meat pie was hearty and the crust was light and flakey like it should be. The grape leaves are excellent!

The staff is very friendly and the food is great! I’m Middle Eastern and can say the meat pies are very middle eastern! This is my first and surely not my last time here! I haven’t had the chance to explore the rest of the menu, but will be doing so soon!

I first found this place as a teenager when my boyfriend worked at the McD’s next door. That was a long, long time ago, not going to say how long but they’ve been around awhile and I’ve been enjoying them all this time! My husband and I call this«MILF Deli» as a joke. But joking aside, it has amazing food. We love the chicken curry in both a pita and as a salad. Their hummus is so good that I compare others to it, badly. You simply cannot buy anything here that is not good!(Great desserts too!) I would never hesitate to take a picky eater here. It doesn’t hurt that the owner is nice to look at as he makes your meal ; – )

When you’re looking for some place to have a quick lunch on one of those shoe-sole melting hot summer days in Wichita. Pop into this place and pair up a bowl of their Gazpacho soup with one or another of their meat pies. Yep… That’ll work.

I really like this restaurant. I don’t ever have any reason to visit this part of town but it’s worth the trip to get some good Mediterranean food. They have a large selection of sandwiches and my favorites are the Curry Chicken, Hummus Delight and Greek Pita. The soups, meat pies and salads are also very good. The dessert counter always looks wonderful but I have yet to try one because I’m usually too full.

I have been wanting to try this Deli for a while now and today had the chance. I can’t say it is bad, but I can’t say it is great. I guess what I was most let down on is that it was the farthest thing from a deli that I have seen. I have been in deli’s in «Big» cities, and expected a meat case with numerous sandwiches. But, once again this is Wichita, a big city wannabe that just doesn’t quite do it. The service was excellent, I have no complaints there. But, I was surprised to see how limited their sandwich selection was. Mainly Mediterranean type foods. If I counted right only a couple of Turkey sandwiches and a Reuben on the menu, however, I will admit that I may have missed one. I ordered the Reuben. It came to me with a bag of chips and a pickle included, which I liked. The sandwich itself was cold in the middle, and although it had a good flavor had an overabundance of sauerkraut and sauce on top of it… very messy. Price was near $ 7, which was a little high seeing as how that does not even include a drink. I really was hoping for a better experience, they have been around for years. Maybe for those who like Mediterranean, they do a great job, but I feel let down that it was not a Deli as I was expecting.

Dozens of times Ive driven by the large lettered M.I.F. sign on a section of a strip mall, oblivious to its contents. Ooooh, MIF Deli… hmm, so they serve sandwiches? Surprise! No. Turns out the nearly naughty acronym stands for Mediterranean & International Foods. While I was bewildered to be having Mediterranean this evening, the cashier was pleasant and kindly went through some recommendations and their specials. I settled on a lamb gyro and mixed bean soup with sausage, and a «homemade lemonade». The gyro, soup, & even the lemonade was fresh, well balanced, hearty but also light, all in all delicious. My single compliant but more like something to ponder, «Would this gyro taste even better with pieces/chunks of lamb as opposed to the meat being minced?» Maybe. I’ll certainly be back to try rest of their menu– meat pies, hummus, and desserts, another day

MIF Deli has taunted me for months, if only because by removing that«MIF» is so easy to remove an «I», or add an «L», and entirely change the meaning of that deli. Wordplay aside, it turns out they serve pretty good food, too, so it’s a win-win for me. Like other places in the city, it’s not really a deli so much as it is a Mediterranean restaurant, but the MIF is a bit unique in that it tends to focus on the pastry aspects of the cuisine, so things like grape leaves, baklava, and pies are prevalent(don’t worry — they have your hummus and Fattoush salads, too). The pies seem to be the most interesting thing, and what I tried during my lunch. It was a potato pie that was on special — a regular menu item that contained an impossible amount of thinly-sliced potatoes, leeks, and sour cream inside a filo-like dough that was very moist and a deep golden brown in color. It was a very homey dish, and it confirmed my suspicions that everything is better in pie form. To accompany my potato pie, I got a cup of a soup special — the four pepper chicken soup, named as such because it contained a trio of bell peppers, along with a healthy amount of peppercorns. Also, it contained chicken. The sweet pepper element was very evident amongst the creamy texture of the soup base, and the whole peppercorns provided a lot of spice when you found one. Like the potato pie, it was very homemade and what I imagine my grandmother making. Well, maybe not MY grandmother, but someone’s.

Great service! I went in for a late lunch so it wasn’t particularly busy, but the staff was friendly and attentive, while not bothersome. I had the curry chicken salad, which was simple yet delicious. I also had the coconut cake, which was ok, but the sugar in the frosting overpowered the coconut.

I went here and ordered the chicken curry wrap and it wasn’t my favorite, but I’m willing to give it another try for the meat pies. Besides, any restaurant whose name reminds me of Tom Lehrer’s MLF Lullaby is definitely worth a second look.

Wow! It’s one of my favorite lunch spots. MIF has a wide variety of Mediterranean dishes ranging from gyros to hummus to grape leaves to shawarma. My personal favorite is the hummus shawarma with chicken. It is a good-size portion with expertly-flavored, diced chicken breast served with pita bread. The servers are all so adorable… well-dressed and very polite. The owner, who I believe operates the kitchen by himself, does an excellent job. I recommend MIF to everyone. Not many places offer such an affordable range of drinks, appetizers, lunch and dinner items and desserts. Bravo.
