Ordered a dish that came with roasted duck, but instead was served what seemed like stewed or boiled instead. In an attempt to correct it they deep fried it and brought it back to me.

Great food at a great value. An order of two large spring rolls was $ 3. Yes. They offer two sizes of the phở. The medium is huge and the large is a meal for four people. It all tasted great. Nice vibe in the place, eclectic mix of customers and fun music on the stereo. Just happened to drive by and Unilocal confirmed that it was ok.

Haven’t tried the phở here yet, but their bbh is bomb! Small place, cheap priced. Get the bbh people.

Wichita has some darn good Thai restaurants and some equally darn good Vietnamese restaurants, and in the case of this small restaurant in this old strip mall on south Seneca, traded the former for the latter: not long after Thai Smile vacated the area did Phở Lotus come to take its place. The restaurant does its best with the limited space it has, but its silent and cramped interior doesn’t make for a very inviting space. Fortunately, the food helps make up for it — they have phở and bun bo hue, but they also offer hoanh thanh mi, a dish made with ramen and pork dumplings. The rest of the bowl will look pretty familiar to phở fans — a generous amount of broth(particularly fatty and rich here), along with some green onions and the standard plate of basil, bean sprouts, chiles, and limes to dress it up to your heart’s content — but foregoing the various beef parts of typical phở for these dumplings(and char siu pork, depending on which version you get), is a welcome change, even if the dumplings in question were fairly diminutive.
