QuikTrip

For such a new location I was surprised at how dirty the entire store was. Maybe the Sunday staff is new or something but it was not the typical Quik Trip clean that we all know and love. I will try this one again if I’m in the area I hope they are just working out the new store kinks.

Wait, what? Did I just give 5 stars to a GAS STATION IN KANSAS after penning several snarky, bitchy reviews for some of the finest establishments in London and New York?
Yes, yes I did.
I grew up going to this gas station, and my friends and I have had long conversations about just what it is that makes Quik Trip so spectacular. First of all, it’s always sparkling clean. Secondly, the employees are actually treated well (relative to other gas stations) and are always helpful, cordial, and kind. Combine that with rows of well stocked snacks, an arsenal of cheap fountain drinks, decent donuts, drinkable coffee, and a range of useful little things (Tide To Go sticks, anyone?), and you’ve got the best gas station known to man.
The only downside is that it’ll make every other gas station you’ll ever go to seem dingy and disgusting.
