Great time, great food, great drinks, great service, great ambiance! I came in for the first time with a group of 16 people from their 30’s to their«?60’s?». I’m in that last group and I had a WONDERFUL experience. TRYTHISONE!

My wife, daughter and I stopped by for lunch on a Friday afternoon. The staff was very nice and attentive. I chose the falafel burger and substituted onion rings for fries(at an extra cost, of which I was not made aware until the bill came). The falafel burger can really only be described as a chickpea burger. It was one of the most bland and dull things I’ve eaten in a very long time. I loaded it up with salt and pepper, then asked for some extra tzatziki as well, just to make it seem I was eating something other than cardboard. The onion rings were also rather tasteless. My wife had the fried chicken sandwich, and seemed more impressed. However, she hasn’t had fried chicken in years(mostly gluten/wheat free) so not sure she’s reliable in that assessment.

Why this place doesn’t have more traffic during lunch is beyond me. The food is always fresh, fast and there’s parking on west side of building. The chicken or beef schwarma’s have hummus/pita and tabolie for one price. They are more than happy to swap out a side for Greek or fattoush. Nacho’s are fantastic as they use pita chips so no soggy chips ever! Keep wanting to try the deep-fried Twinkie’s & ice cream, but never have any room after lunch. Skip the liquid iced tea…

Food wise, wow. I can’t believe I paid $ 10 for a gyro and onion rings that tasted like they were frozen and microwaved.

Wandered in at dinner time. Had Shwarma Hummis. Bartender recommended the beef, have only had chicken, it was very good. Jack and water short was served tall but mixed like a short :) Friendly folks. Recommended

Came here once for their Sunday brunch buffet. Everything was so-so. Not bad but nothing special.

Rain is a great restaurant by day and a FABULOUSLGBT bar by night in the downtown area. They have excellent drink specials including $ 1 vodkas on Wednesdays and $ 1 whiskeys on Mondays! There’s always great dance music playing at night but beware, the dance floor is pretty tiny and gets crowded. Rain also recently renovated their patio and it is now one of the best patios in town. The bar is clean and the bartenders are fast and friendly. Also be sure to go on Sunday from 10AM-2PM for the awesome brunch buffet. They have bacon, eggs, fruit, croissants, sausage, and French toast sticks as well as $ 5 mimosas and Bloody Marys.

My husband and I were in town for a concert and it was our first time in Kansas. We looked at reviews of local pubs where were could get a bite and drinks before the concert next to the arena and very happily found Rain. We were greeted by a bartender, Storm, who made excellent margaritas. We also went on his recommendation and got the pulled pork sandwich, which was also amazingly delicious! It is a gay bar, so if that’s not your thing I wouldn’t go, but for us that just added to it’s charm! If we are ever back in Wichita this is where we would go… Thanks Storm!

I love rain! They always have great drink specials and who can complain about a free buffet on Fridays? Clean, friendly, free meatballs? Yes please!

I was in town on business and decided to try Rain. The service was bad, I had to ask 3 times for a glass of water, and the falafel was the driest I have ever had. My friend’s sandwiches were good, but all-in-all I would not recommend this place, and I won’t be back.

Came here for a late lunch, had some work to do and webinars and conference calls. Some places really hate that, they were really supportive of letting me get it out of the way so I could relax and not stress. Quiet with a laid back, awesome atmosphere. Had a couple drinks once work was over. Great prices on everything, great staff. First visit here, won’t be the last. I couldn’t find anything on the menu above $ 9.50. Most was $ 7. Drinks special today was $ 5LIT and some beer specials for less than that. Our waitress today was Rachel and she made me feel like a celebrity. That’s not typical Kansas service. I grew up here, I’ve had that in LA and NYC, never in Kansas. *******In short, eat here, enjoy here. Bring your parents during the day. ********* Side note, Rachel said night life is very lively — karaōke nights and other things — and sounds like a lot of fun. I love that I can come somewhere like this and get such a variety. I’ll be back to checkout the other side of things another trip.

I was in Wichita for work and walked here from my hotel. It was almost time for the kitchen to close but they were super nice about getting me some food. The bar tender came out to my table and helped me place my order. The food was great!!! The schwarma sandwich came in a fresh pita with hummus & tabouli as sides. I was so pleased with the food, service and prices that I went back the next night to try the fattoush salad. Which was also great. This is a solid place to try in Wichita if you are looking for a very casual place with great food and prices.

Consistently poor service; inattentive bar staff make ordering a drink a time consuming hassle. Lack of professionalism, courtesy, attentiveness, and basic service standards creates an environment that is unfortunately no longer enjoyable.

Was there Sunday May 24, 2015 Bartendar — Storm. If you could get him to the bar, you could order a drink, elsewise he was out smoking with a group of friends. Even when you went outside and he saw you, he never returned. Another table tried to pay thier bill and was made to wait until HE decided to come back in. This seems to be the norm now at Rain. Nice outside patio, but poor to no service. Maybe the owner should invest in employees that do not smoke and than just maybe someone would stay behind the bar. I think its classified as a bar and restaurant. Ended up not eating there. Owners loss. There is alot of money the owner is missing out on. To bad for him after dumping all that money into the place., The Bar Staff has changed on Fridays and not for the better. It is now self serve if you can get a bartendar to wait on you. Last Friday I could not get a drink, so I gave up. This Friday I did get a drink and tried to order food, but an hour later, no food, cancelled my order. I guess they do not server food after 5pm. I truly wish the old bar staff was back. Its nice to redo the patio, but if you are not serving drinks or food what is the purpose?

Waited to talk to someone for awhile. Went up to the bar and they said they would get to us. Waited some more… The atmosphere is weird and somewhat depressing. Very dim lighting. Ended up leaving while we were still waiting for a drink order. More of a bar than café.

It smelled like butt here last Saturday night. The crowd was too immature and too wild. It was ridiculous. I didn’t belong here and idk how I ended up here lmao! If you’re looking to get super drunk, act sassy and wild, flirt with both sexes, listen to house music, and wanting to stand in the middle of the crowd smelling like dried up sweat then be my guest. LOL

This place used to have pretty decent food considering, it’s a bar. It’s really gone downhill lately both in quality and service.

This place has some indoor and outdoor seating. Unfortunately people can smoke outside, which pretty much ruins it for me. I only came for drinks and one bartender did not make things very fast. They do have excellent drink specials every weeknight, though. Now that I know the place I would stop in for food as well at some point and try it out.

Rain has one of the best Sunday Brunches in the city. It’s an all you can eat buffet and every single thing they offer is top notch. I love their french toast sticks and they even have an omelette station! It’s the perfect spot to get over that hangover. You can even get a little hair of the dog with a Mimosa or a delicious Bloody Mary. My favorite night to go there is Tuesday’s because they have $ 1 whiskey drinks. Can’t beat that! They have karaōke on occasion as well, but you better sign up early because it get really busy. Rain also just did a big renovation on their patio and it is really impressive. Tons of seating, fresh air, and fun!
