Decided to stop by and see what the specials were for a late night Sunday from funday exhibition, and it turns out they had some pretty pretty decent specials, karaōke, and nascar. Fun bar, not to crowded, fast and friendly service.

Definitely a dive bar. Bathroom doors don’t lock, fruit flies in bathrooms, sound is way to loud. Several times they have run out of regular booze. We go here on occasion because we enjoy maggie, the owner and she does a lot of great charity events! it is really close to home.

So this place is actually called Maggie’s Scotch and Soda. No matter what it is called, it is FANTASTIC! My friends brought us here while we were in Witchita for the night because they know I like dive bars and because they know I like karaōke. First thing you notice when you walk in is that it appears small but there are actually other rooms off the main bar room. There’s a room with pool tables and another room with video games. Another thing I noticed was a hot chick… but then I realized it was just that I could see myself in the mirrored walls hehe. I especially liked the mirrored walls behind the karaōke«stage»(i.e. corner near the door). Second thing you notice is CHEAPDRINKS! Every night they have drink specials. Some of note: $ 3 pitchers Wed night(although I hear they charge $ 5 to get in and it is cheap beer but WHATEVER just go and drink up), $ 1 beer Sun — Thurs, Tues and Thurs have $ 2 wells. Why the hell would you not be here every night of the week? I know I certainly would! Patrons were all over the board as a nice dive bar should be. Some younger people, some really really old people, everyone was super friendly and everyone was getting their party on. Gotta love a place where everyone can come together and just let their party flag fly. Best thing ever: KARAOKEEVERYNIGHT! Did you hear that? EVERYNIGHT! Now, they may not have every song I wanted to sing(get some freakin Whitesnake) but they had enough that I managed to rock out some Bön Jovi and rap some Digital Underground so it was all good. Plus I got to watch two guys slay on Pussy Control and do interpretive dance to another country song. I wish I knew of a great dive that has karaōke every night in Dallas. Maggie’s gets rowdy and fun and it seems everyone there loves it. If I opened a bar, this is how I’d want it to be. Two VERY enthusiastic thumbs up and a promise to come back anytime I get myself to Wichita!
