Sonic Drive-In

Sonic is always a place I go late to grab a shake & that’s just what I did. Shake was correct, tasting very good and it was half price because of the time that I went so u can’t beat that! Sonic is never really a place where bad service takes place

Blazing hot triple digit day, I asked for a Rt44 iced tea, and I got a large cup of ice with a shot of iced tea in it. Tried to take their survey online but the reciept i got didnt have the proper code on it. Rat bastards won’t see another penny from me.

I’m actually a big fan of Sonic in terms of chain fast food, but this particular Sonic has blown it on a few occasions in terms of service. I’ve experienced snail-​like service, minimal support with credit card machines, and have even seen employees socializing in the prep area as the drive-​through line stacks up behind me. I know I shouldn’t expect much from a fast food establishment, but shouldn’t it be «fast?»

I have in the past been critical of Sonic Drive In’s (outside of their «Happy Hour» drinks), but last night I wanted, nay, required a chili cheese coney dog, and turned in at the Sonic to try my luck. Food was delivered to the car relatively promptly, with the carhop apologizing because «we were waiting on fresh onion rings» — no apology necessary. Decided I’d rather take the food home and eat in an air-​conditioned, fly-​free house, so drove the 5 minutes home, and… it was great. The onion rings were still hot and crispy, the foot-​long chili cheese coney (with requested mustard and onions) was well-​topped and the hot dog even stuck out at both ends of the bun. It was so good I was loathe to share even a bite with the dogs… but I did. Overall, a positive dining experience.

We moved to the Neighborhood about 5 years ago, and we have had many bad experiences at this location. Several time order has been messed up, once over charged me (paid 25 bucks and change for 2 drinks), and this last time leaving things out of my order. This place is consistently wrong, and the food is just ok at best.
