It is what it is. What else do you expect from a chain sandwich shop? Nothing particularly good or bad to write about this place. Get’s busy and very crowded at lunch. I’m ok with extra traffic at peak times, but the parking lot is a disaster of biblical proportions. Otherwise, I’d give three stars.

My daughter and I went to this Subway this evening for subs. Little did we know that Subway now has only a few $ 5 subs. The ones I remember were the BLT, the Cold Cut Combo and the Black Forest Ham. I ordered the Black Forest Ham in a 12 inch and my daughter ordered a 12 inch Spicy Italian(now $ 5.50). I asked for a lot of veggies on my sub(I wanted lettuce, onion, and green pepper). Well, I’m assuming that the employee is paying for the veggies out of his pocket as I got a minimal amount of veggies. My daughter order very few veggies on her sub and also got very little of each. She was given 6 small pickles for a 12 inch sub. Seems to me like Subway doesn’t want to stay in business anymore and I’m going to help them achieve that goal(along with my friends). Be smart and go somewhere else to eat!!! Maybe another fast food place wants your money. I also forget to say that the bread(Italian) was rather hard and crunchy.

Okay, I realize there’s little point in reviewing one of dozens of outlets of the world’s largest fast-food chain, but it’s in my neighborhood and I wanted a sub, something I could split into two dietarily-acceptable meals and… First off, props to them for adding a secondary sandwich prep station next to the drive through window– maybe it’s been there for awhile, but I’ve never seen it in action. I generally park and go in to get carry-out, but it seemed like they were serving people in the drive-through much faster. I’ve noticed that after promoting the heck out of the«Five dollar footlongs» for so long, they’ve now cut them back to about 5 – 6 sandwiches, most of them not very appealing choices. The rest of the subs are $ 6.50 to $ 8.00 for a foot-long, and even a 6″ is $ 4.00 and up. The one I selected, a turkey and ham on jalapeño cheese bread(props again to a new bread choice) had two tiny slices of ham and two tiny slices of turkey on 6 inches(or thereabouts) of bread. I would estimate that the combined meat-product made up less than 5% of the total sandwich volume. There was probably more pepper ring volume on this sandwich. I ordered it toasted, and after it was lightly crisped and dressed per specifications, it was set next to the register… where I waited… and waited… and waited. I didn’t run a stop-watch, but they served three cars in the drive-through while I was standing at the register. By the time I was rang up, the sandwich was again cold. I might add the lady ahead of me in line ordered a «value meal»($ 8+ ain’t much of a value…), and had to climb over the counter to get her drink cup that wasn’t provided before the cashier wandered off. Next time I want a sandwich with a little something-something in it, I’ll go around the corner to Merle’s or buy a QT cooler sandwich.
