We grew up eating here. Everything is amazing! I usually order a beef sancho or enchilada. A bag of chips, side of sauce, beans and rice is a must have. Also, the cherry limeades are fantastic!

Best Mexican/American fried flour tacos! Taco burgers are amazing. Been coming here since I was born, so 34 nearly 35 years. I live a ways away but still drive an hour to eat here. Yum! Oh, and they have THEBEST shaved ice.

By the other reviews I got the impression it was an authentic Mexican restaurant. By authentic I mean being served by Mexicans, seeing Mexican customers and most importantly eating flavourful Mexican food. This place has none of the above. However, if you are on low budget looking to fill your belly with fried hard corn shells or soft flour tacos, with no fancy meet options like barbacoa, al pastor, tripes, etc, this is the place for you. Enjoy!

I’ve been eating here for 25 years. I’m only 35 btw. You know you’re old school if you have been to their midtown location in Broadway back in the day. I come for the 70’s mom and pop taco stand style food and also the ICE. Their ice is like snow. It’s the best. The tea is awful though.

Taco Pronto holds a special place in my heart. They serve very Americanized Mexican food, but I love it. My favorite thing to order are the bean and cheese burritos, hands down the best in Wichita. I also like the cheese burritos, which no one seems to share my devotion for, as well as Taco Tuesdays. Grab a diet cherry limeaide to wash down your food, and you are good to go!

I stopped by today for a quick lunch with a friend, and was well pleased! I had two corn tacos, which was the«Taco Tuesday» special. Exceptional price– $ 1.20 for two. The tacos were delicious. The meat was not soggy or greasy, which is a nice change from most fast food taco experiences I have had, and the shell was warm and crunchy. I had the medium sauce, which was enough to give it a bit of a kick, but not so spicy that I could not eat it. My friend had hot sauce, which he really enjoyed. The taco came with cheese, meat, lettuce, and tomato, and was stuffed just right. There is an art to stuffing a taco so it’s full enough to have delicious toppings in every bite, but not so full that the toppings are dropping out. Kudos to the taco preparation team at Taco Pronto for their appropriate taco/stuffing ratio. We did not know about the special and were a bit worried when we came in and saw the huge line. Despite the amount of people in line, the wait was not long at all. They got people in and out while providing friendly service. I was very impressed with how well the staff handled the crowd. A lot of the other customers were getting take out, so there was even a place to sit. The place was fairly clean, especially considering it was a rush time on Taco Tuesday. One cravat– be careful going from the parking lot to the door– the drive thru customers were not terribly attentive to the pedestrian traffic, and there’s no real way to avoid it since the restaurant is smack dab in the middle of a parking lot. I’ll be back– I can’t wait to try some of their other offerings!

Taco Pronto doesn’t try to be anything it’s not. It’s not authentic Mexican, whatever your idea of that may be. What it is is a very tasty, inexpensive fast food taco joint. My go-to order is one taco deluxe and one beef sancho with hot sauce. Well seasoned ground beef, fresh taco shells and tortillas, plenty of shredded cheese, and a yummy hot sauce. Simple, cheap, tasty, and fast. Not much more to say.

Their food tastes like salty nostalgia. Biting into a combo burrito brings me back to high school. I was worried the current reality wouldn’t meet the expectations of my memories, but nope… it does. Dang tasty fast food. It’ll be a must-stop on every return visit to Wichita.

I am a huge fan of Taco Pronto. It’s one of my favorite mex fast food restuarants in town. Their fried flour carnitas tacos are my favorite, and when I find myself craving flour tacos on the go, I come here. It’s not authentic mexican by any means, but it’s quick, cheap, and tasty. my only complaint is that there is only 2 in Wichita, and neither are near by.
