Locally owned taco joint. Owner is friendly enough and food is good. For all the people saying that this isn’t authentic mexican food, of course it isn’t. It’s mexicanish food, but for being only half mexican it’s still my choice every time on the west side

Another «taco food» joint. NOT Mexican food. This one is ok. It’s rather bland and uses black pepper as its core «spice». I say choose elsewhere if your looking at a fast taco food place.

Small, clean and packed with customers, this little building emanates happiness, cheerful attitudes, plenty of smiles and delicious food.
If you want a snug little place to grab a bite to eat, this is it. Now and then they even publish coupons in the paper, which is how we originally discovered this gem.
The servings are generous, the refills free, the ice is the crushed kind that keeps a drink refreshingly cold.
I will be back again soon for another Taco salad!

Both of Taco Pronto’s locations make a huge amount of money from charging for items and then not giving you all your food when ordering from the drive-​through. If you want to actually try their menu then order inside.

Long time customer. Today 8÷15÷2015 slow period and ALL tables are dirty, the whole place is a mess. Cashier had a bad attitude and filled all of our drink cups with ice by going directly into the ice maker with her hand.(is this health code violation?) usually happy with this place, not today!

No thanks! Taco Bell is better. And I don’t like Taco Bell. This is not Mexican food! It ground beef that’s grease and thrown in a tortilla. I wouldn’t go back.

I’ve been eating at Taco Pronto for almost 40 years. If you like pork in your taco then this is the place to be. They have amazingly good taco salads with loads more meat than the other local fast food mexican restaurants and the prices are very very competitive. This past weekend I had the pork flour fried taco and a pork taco burger. Pure heaven. I am generally a drive thru type of person when it comes to fast food and they are always very friendly to me (and my dogs) They sauce they make is delicious and they have daily specials during the week that are great (when I can remember them.)
I will continue to be a loyal customer for hopefully another 40 years.

Out of the super-​cheap fast food quasi-​Mexican restaurants positioning themselves at the cardinal directions of the city (West-​Taco Pronto, East-​Taco Town, South-​Taco J’s. Maybe Taco Rio if you’re feeling generous, and maybe Taco Shop if you just don’t care at all) Taco Pronto is well ensconced on the west side.
Though Taco J’s is my ideal experience for the hard shell taco, Taco Pronto’s wasn’t bad. The beef wasn’t as well cooked down and I was losing a few toppings as I ate, but otherwise well-​constructed. They also have a wide variety of sanchos, and while I’m still not sure the difference between the sancho and the burrito, the chunks of chile verde pork in my sancho were pretty tender and hot, though underseasoned.
If you are one of the types of people that look for the most amount of loosely-​defined Mexican food, you could do worse than Taco Pronto, though that list of places at which you could do worse is not very long.

Taco Pronto is a Wichita classic. A family owned business, they strive for great service and good food. The menu has the normal burritos, tacos, and nachos. I feel they have the best bean and cheese burritos in town! A taco pronto specialty (that no one shared my affinity for) are the cheese burritos, which as you may surmise, is a tortilla filled with melted cheese. The BF and I are big fans of the crunchy beef tacos (Taco Tuesday 2 for $ 1.20). A great place for families.

Salty savory cheesy goodness. Perfect example of kansas/​mexican fast food. They have a lot of specials, friendly help, And a clean restaurant. Never had a bad experience here. The location on central is great also.
