The Home Depot

I really like this store the staff is always asking if I need help and at a place like this I do. There are so many things and I am no expert when it comes to DIY. Most recently I had keys made and the gentleman was so nice he held my new keys for me while I put the old one on my key ring.

My Husband and I purchased a home here in Wichita, KS about 2 years ago, It needed extensive remodeling. We purchased our Porcelain Tub and our Ceramic Tile (grout and accessaries) from Home Depot!
Also found some replacement panels for the Vertical Blinds at our Patio Door. And on my way through their Home Improvement dept — I found a beautiful rug for my newly renovated kitchen!
With so many options available in the City of Wichita — I got really picky about where I purchased each item.

Ok, yes I know that the giant chains are taking over and pushing out all the mom & pop stores, but its also close and have what I need for that home repair job.
I had to go pickup parts to repair the wife’s leaking sink in the kitchen. OK, I guess its my sink too, but she still uses it more! Anyway I need a new pee trap and extension pipe. Found just what I needed after walking around the store for 10 min and even looking up the right lane but missing it. I found it only after asking a sale rep where to find it.
There are many things about these giant stores that I feel are good and bad.
Bad List:
1. Long walk from parking lot and the entrance and exits are not at the same place.
2. So large that it takes forever to find what you need.
3. Most employees know less about about the stuff I need than I do.
4. The killing of the small business stores.
5. Can’t take the wife without her having to get more flowers for the yard!
Good List:
1. That I can normally find what I need.
2. That the lanes are wide and roomy, not cluttered
3. Good prices & return policy.
4. Truck rental for large items.
5. Good quality products.
Overall I guess the good and bad list balance out.
