So many Walts. So many burgers. This is #1 in an investigation into the story behind the mysterious Walt, and the multitude of burgers he left behind. My first Walt experience was to his Klassic location at Oliver(his words). The burger was the standard for Wichita — a patty that was a little too greasy and overcooked, though sufficiently seasoned. Would I like that burger topped with mustard, onion, and pickle? Yes I would. The fries were freshly made. About the size of your standard fast food fry, but fried extra-long to become crispy. And also grease-laden. Much of the grease was mitigated by wrapping everything in wax paper, which is a must for any of the Wichita burger joints around here. Overall, a satisfactory burger, and a nice baseline for the Walts to come. Rating: 5 Walts out of 10

Walt’s Burgers have the right amount of seasoning, the right amount of meat, and the right amount of flavor. Served with mustard, onions, and pickles. If you are feeling hungry, the double burger is not overwhelming. The fries are fresh cut and salty! It has a dive-y feel but takes credit cards! A big plus for that area of town, most burger joints in the area are cash only.
