Consistently good food, reasonable prices and lots to choose from. I really like the haddock and chips or the lobster roll. I have enjoyed non-seafood dishes there but these are my two favorite selections at KJs. The onion rings are fantastic, they come with a delicious, spicy sauce. If you have any room left they offer some really creative and delicious ice cream options too. Been here many times, never a bad experience to speak of.

Not a very clean establishment. Everything was sticky and gross. Made us wonder what shape the kitchen was in. Everything tastes like seafood. So if you do not like seafood this place is probably not for you. Bring lots of wet naps to clean your table and utensils.

Food is ok, and the prices are mediocre. Drinks are cheap which is nice though.

I’ve been to Krazy Jake’s on multiple occasions for ice cream and several occasions to eat inside the restaurant. For the ice cream: I’ve gotten ice cream here too many times to count and love it. You order from the window outside and they have many different flavor options. They have mostly hard ice cream but also soft serve and frozen yogurt. They have special sundaes, milk shakes, and other ice cream treats. What I love so much about their ice cream is that they have many different flavors that I can’t find anywhere else. Some of my favorite ice cream flavors are: strawberry cheesecake, bubblegum, cotton candy, coconut almond bar and mint moose tracks. The strawberry cheesecake brownie sundae is very tasty too! They even have milk shakes for adults, that include alcohol. Their prices for ice cream are slightly higher than normal but their portions are large so it evens out. For the restaurant and food: I have eaten inside the restaurant on several different occasions and my family members have gone even more. Every time I went was on a weekend for dinner, usually around 5:30PM. I really like the make-your-own burger option(you select the burger size and toppings) and that’s usually what I get but I have also gotten haddock and a steak grinder. I didn’t order any alcoholic drinks so I can’t comment on that. I usually sit in the back, near the bar and the bartender often waits on the tables around the bar. The bartender/server was amazing and I didn’t see her stop moving once. She was constantly moving and checking all her tables, as well as tending the bar. She was very friendly and knew everything about the food. The food was served quickly and very hot. The burgers, haddock and grinder were all tasty and would recommend any of them. I should add that the portion sizes were very large. My grinder was so large that I could barely eat half of it and ended up bringing most of it home. For the haddock, I ordered the small portion and I couldn’t even finish eating that either. The prices are average and the food is definitely worth it. Overall, I would recommend Krazy Jake’s to anyone looking for standard American fare. The restaurant can get pretty busy at certain times so if you’re impatient, you may want to go early.

Hit Krazy Jake’s for breakfast recently. Sat at the counter. Service was fine… not too nice, not too surly. We tried omelettes which were nicely prepared but lacking in the flavor department. Coffee was standard diner coffee. It was totally drinkable just black, so that ain’t bad. Bacon, which fuels my life, was sadly terrible… I’m guessing it was cheap bacon because the taste was just not right. With so many options in the area, I’d be hard pressed to return to Jake’s for breakfast. I hear the ice cream is good, as well as mixed drinks… maybe another shot down the road.

Went there for lunch today. Got the cat fish special. It was terrible. The coleslaw was terrible too. The fish tasted like metal. I took my leftovers to work and had somebody else try it. They said the same thing. I complained to the waitress. She did not care and still charge me for it. And she says everybody complains about the coleslaw. Worse launch I’ve ever had. I should have ordered the steak melt.

I normally don’t have very high standards for takeout windows, but this place wasn’t even close. Apparently part of the fun here is guessing which part of your order will be missing or incorrect, because several people in our group received something other than what they ordered. They didn’t get my order wrong, but I wish they had, I got soft serve in a dish, and it was grainy and almost inedible. Another fairly minor pet peeve is that the menu above the window doesn’t give any prices. I would expect this from a five star French restaurant, not from a roadside ice cream takeout window, where knowing prices is actually helpful in deciding what to get. To top it off, the outdoor seating area smelled of raw sewage. Like, Bondi’s Island on a hot summer day when the wind shifts in your direction sort of raw sewage smell. Since this was my first time here, I don’t know if this is a regular occurrence or an anomaly, but I don’t plan on coming back to find out.

I visited the restaurant on Friday morning with three other people. While my brother-in-law and sisters-in-law raved about their food, my experience was very different. I am vegan. I checked out the website and was happy to note that almond milk was available. Coffee and a bagel seemed like a viable option. I even brought my own vegan cream cheese. I asked our server — who was wonderful — if I could get home fries cooked in oil rather than butter. Not a problem, I was assured. The long and the short of it? There was no almond milk available, so my breakfast beverage was tepid tea with lemon. The only potatoes available were already on the grill, in butter. Please update your website to reflect that almond milk is, in fact, not available. I would have brought my own and enjoyed coffee with my bagel. So very disappointing.

We’ve given this place chance after chance and we are almost always disappointed. Poor service most of the time, poorly trained staff, very unprofessional greeters. The only staff member who seems to be busting his butt and truly seems to care is on fry duty. and it shows. The only thing I’ll eat there anymore is the freshly prepared chicken tenders. The lobster rolls are the worst I’ve had, I had a bone in my chicken salad once and a few bugs on produce. The service at the window, or if you call in, is horrendous!

Great food at a reasonable price, the servers are wonderful and caring whilst not overbearing. The food usually comes in good time assuming it’s not a Friday as it gets reasonably busy, but what would you expect. The deserts are phenomenal and appealing to the eyes as well as the stomach. Definitely a great place to check out.

What a surprise! Came in with a few buddies to just grab a quick snack and a beer, and ended up with slew of appetizers, several beers and a great time! We started with the crabcakes and scallops and were amazed at the flavors and the portion size for four guys. Add to that the lobster roll with just the right touch of mayo, on a buttered and grilled hot dog roll = heaven!

Went for ice cream and I ordered a brownie sundae and my husband a scoop of ice cream. After a short car ride my sundae and his ice cream were a complete soupy mess. The guy who took our order– Dave– mentioned that one flavor of ice cream was«soft» so we didn’t choose that kind, not that it mattered. Complete let down and wasteof m0ney cconsidering my sundae cost 6.50. Will not return.

Went here on a Friday night close to 8pm. We waited for less than 5 minutes and then seated. Our waitress was nice and everyone around seemed like they we’re genuinely interested in being there. We ordered and it probably took about 20 – 25 minutes to get our food. It wasn’t too busy of a night so I was kind of wondering why the service was so slow. No one in my party got a meal that took a ton of time to prepare. We got our food and I ordered the shrimp with a side baked potato and side salad. The side salad never came(ended up still on the bill, but waitress took off after we told her), the shrimp were just okay, really nothing special to them. I probably could have made better, which is pathetic for a place that puts seafood in their description. Other meals were good and no complaints. Giving it 3 stars because I want to go back to try it again, and because of the slow service. I did look at their drink menu and prices are REALLY reasonable.

Skip the food and go for the ice cream, if you don’t mind waiting a bit and more than likely having your order come out as a surprise.

Kinda a drive-in diner feel to this place on Boston Rd. I have been there now three times mostly for burgers fries and onion rings. I did on one occasion have the New England«Clam Chowda» recommended by the owner and what a surprise that was. It probably was one the best chowders I have had in these parts and there still is an ingredient in that preparation I am still trying to figure out. No matter, whatever it was made that chowder a clear standout. All the burgers served are Angus and available in 3oz. or 8oz. portion size as either regular or specialty type, meaning lots of different toppings. What really got my attention was the house fries available in hand cut or regular frozen fast food french fries. I ordered half hand-cut and half regular and to my surprise, I liked the regular fries better. I think that is because the frozen fries are blanched in a factory oil that imparts a little bit more flavor than the standard Frymax oil used by most restaurants. Regardless of your preference both fries are very good and as for the onion rings served here, hands down, straight up some of the very best I have had almost anywhere I have been. I want to try the fried seafood at some point to see how they do but so far I can highly recommend Jake’s for its burgers, fries and onion rings.

How come restaurants go down hill? I liked Krazy Jake’s when it opened up. They were not busy at all. When we arrived, «someone else took your reservation» was part of our greeting. The kitchen was very slow. Our orders came out between forty five minutes to an hour after they were placed and they didn’t even come out all at once. I’m not saying here that your order came out at a different time as mine did, I’m saying that my mashed potatoes came out after the plate was served because they were not ready. Others in our party experienced the same thing. My son’s buffalo wings were cold also. I don’t thin it is the same place I visited even a year ago. I think I will pass going here again… oh, did I mention that my bill, for all of this was over $ 120.00… I’ll take it down the road next time.

I just discovered Krazy Jake’s and am very impressed. The atmosphere is very comfortable and clean. We sat at the counter and watched, mouths watering, as all the food was being prepared. I had a burger with onion rings. Both were excellent. The burger was cooked to perfection and the rings were the best I have ever had, light and flakey, cut fresh and batter dipped in front of us. The dipping sauce for the onion rings is fantastic. They have an extensive menu sure to please everyone. I can’t wait to go back and try something else along with the onion rings!
