These were the Greatest! We were not sure about it because of the name so the girl(super nice) made us a sample. The taste was amazing! We were sold…, later we brought the older kids who loved it too! Wish we had something like this in NY!

Previous reviewers have covered how delicious the actual beaver tails are. But let’s talk about the real darkhorse star at this stand: the poutine! It’s a bit pricier than i’d hoped($ 7 or $ 8?)but i couldnt pass up the chance to try this rarely encountered quebecois delicacy. And did they ever deliver. The problem with so many versions of poutine that i’ve tried is that there are so many different variations in gravy and fries, and not all options are going to complement the other ingredients well. Often, a normally tasty gravy or fry will overwhelm the other flavors and render the whole poutine pointless. Beaver Tails’ poutine had no such issues. Their gravy, fries, and cheese curds are the best three-piece Quebec combination since the Sabres’ old French Connection line. Definitely give it a try. PS: the manager was a nice guy from Laval who I got a chance to chat with.

If you’ve been dieting for months prepping for your summer bod and are now dreaming day and night about the tasty treats you’ll consume while you’re down the shore, then I have to interrupt your fantasies and introduce BeaverTails — you’ll be salivating soon enough. BeaverTails come to us from Canada, and they’re sort of like a funnel cake, but that comparison honestly short sells them. A BeaverTail is an oblong pastry, deep-fried to be extra crispy on the outside, and warm and doughy on the inside. They’re then topped with all sort of yummy spreads, like icing, chocolate hazelnut, peanut butter, or caramel apples. You’ve gotta have one now, right? I’ve had the pleasure of trying BeaverTails before, both in Canada and the former stand at Epcot’s version of Canada. I was terribly sad when the stand was removed from the Disney World park, so when I saw a posting by Morey’s Piers that BeaverTails were making their debut I knew I had to go. If you’re like me and had previously written off the«3rd pier» of the Wildwood Boardwalk(actually called«Adventure Pier»), you should definitely reassess and make your way down there. In addition to BeaverTails, there are fun new art additions, remnants of old Boardwalk rides(hello, nostalgia), and live music featuring talented kids from School of Rock. The staff at BeaverTails is friendly, and were offering free samples to curious passerby. Now that you REALLY can’t pass up. So hey, summer swimsuit season is almost over, and you’ve been working hard enough on that flat tummy — time to get yourself a BeaverTail!

Miss hockey season already and need a Canadian fix? Ever been curious about those pastries you learned about in 3rd grade Social Studies class? Heading to the beach, eh? All stereotypical jokes aside, Beavertails is a great addition to the boardwalk. After a 4th of July weekend visit, my lady and I decided we are heading back soon. To those unfamiliar with a Beavertail, it is deep fried whole wheat dough topped with anything and everything. Mine came with Nutella, peanut butter, and Reese’s, while my girlfriend’s had Nutella and bananas. It was unreal. Think of funnel cakes as the washed up pastry that played in the AHL for a year or two, while Beavertails are the leading scorer in the NHL. Apparently this is only the 3rd franchise in The States, so unless you plan on traveling to Ohio or Idaho, make sure you get one in Wildwood. And with all the shark attacks and Man O’ Wars washing up on all the beaches, wouldn’t it just be safer to snack on a Beavertail from the safety of the boardwalk?

Beavertails have recently made their debut on the Wildwood boardwalk and I could not be happier that they are here! Located towards the front of the third pier(adventure pier), the Beavertail stand is made of two red shipping containers so it is easy to spot. The main attraction here, is of course, the beavertail which is a fried whole wheat dough topped with different treats. There are nine different options of this delicious dessert, which I’ve tried two of. The number 8 is my favorite so far– a beavertail topped with nutella and bananas! I’ve also tried the peanut butter one, topped with nutella, peanut butter spread and reese’s m&ms. Of course, the rest of the flavors look delicious as well and I can’t wait to try them all! There are a few other items on the menu, I’m looking forward to trying the beaver bites and beaver hotdog. The staff was beyond friendly and kind. Additionally, there is plenty of seating right in front of the stand. If you are in Wildwood YOUNEEDTOGET A BEAVERTAIL!
