I went here this past weekend with my boyfriend for lunch on our first day down in Wildwood. We had walked a good length of boardwalk and were waiting to check-in to our hotel nearby. After a good walk and a long drive, we had worked up a bit of an appetite. I Unilocaled this place and was a little hesitant, being it’s a diner on the boardwalk, I was actually pleasantly surprised. It has a very Johnny Rockets décor on the inside, complete with waitresses in poodle skirts, classic rock music playing inside and sandwiches named after celebrities in the 50s. It feels like a real restaurant and not a dive(the bad kind) shack outfit. It’s big enough that you’re a little insulated from the noise and bustle of the boardwalk. There’s a pretty good menu selection. Wraps, burgers, sandwiches, salads, breakfast, all with cute names as is par for the course. It’s definitely not where you go for something light or with health on the mind. There’s an entire section on the menu for hot dogs with a multitude of themed toppings. I had the Ricky Ricardo sandwich, which, as I’m sure you might be able to guess, was a Cuban sandwich. It was actually pretty good. The toppings were generous, fresh and well portioned and the bread was closer to ciabatta than the typical loaf-of-bread sized sandwich bread. Hearty, I took the other half with me for later. I will say that the fries are kind of bland. They come out on the drier side, which is fine, but it just means that no amount of salt you sprinkle will stick. If they could get some salt on there as soon as they come out, they’d be perfect. Considering that most of the food on the boardwalk is really junk, this place is kind of an oasis actually, serving real food from a real kitchen instead of just from behind a counter. It’s not terribly pricey and the commitment to the retro theme is a cheesy, adorable kind of cute. If you want something else besides funnel cake for lunch without venturing far from the boardwalk, this is a good bet.

Really good! We loved the variety and originality of the menu items. Eggs with cheese were good, great sausage, bacon, Belgian waffles… friendly staff. Good prices. Will come again.

I guess for on the boardwalk it was ok. Nothing worth traveling for. The theme is cute but I mean not as good as let’s say Johnny Rockets. Good was ok. Not great in anyway. My waitress was very quick and nice. Bathroom could have been cleaner.
