Great service. Super friendly and accommodating. We were there with friends, two couples, 3 kids, they were more then willing to hook us up with whatever the kids needed and food came quickly and was pretty good.

Been here a few times this season. Never disappointed! Food is great and service is fast and friendly. Trish, Gianna and Taylor are always friendly and courteous. Easily one of the best restaurants on the island!

Let me start by saying I don’t know how this place has so many good reviews. It was average at best. This was my Moms 70th bday dinner. So it was a BIG one. I told the woman on the phone that it was her birthday and must have mentioned it at least 3 times at the restaurant. So we had to ask to order appetizers. We ordered mozzarella sticks for the kids, we got calamari and clams casino. They brought complimentary carrots in balsamic. We were informed that they ran out of Mozzarella sticks about 40 mins in. My son was starving. She asked what she could get instead. I said Bread! We were there for about an hour and NO bread yet? The clams casino were not very good… Lots of Mushy breading. Calamari, was just ok. We decided on our meals and 3 of us –my MoM included ordered linguine with lobster, shrimp and crab. About half hour later we were informed that they ran out of lobsters. What the hell? So I asked can if the chef could substitute clams instead of lobster and not charge me for lobster? After that, She came back out and told me they have 3 lobsters left… Where did they come from? They thought the other table ordered them and they didn’t. We were seated at 7. Ordered by 7:30 got our meals at 9. It took them an hour to bring us ice. I expected my meal to be wow which would make everything better. It wasn’t at all. The seafood in it was overcooked and BLAND., BLAND, BLAND! 5 of us never got the two sides of vegetables that were supposed to come with our meals… But after one of our guests ate the rock hard potatoes we decided not to ask for them. They weren’t good at clearing plates. So our table was pile high with dinner plates. I went out to feed the meter and told the owner that we wanted to hear about dessert and sing for my mom. I came back in to find that we were getting our check. The owner came up and said to my mother I was told that I have to tell you about dessert. Mom chose one after we encouraged her. Then they never asked anyone else. It was like they didn’t want us to get anything bc it was late and they were trying to get out or something. We had to ask if we could get something too… this was After my mom already got hers!!! They brought the desserts out and there was no place to put them because they still Never removed the dinner plates. The service was awful, the food bland, and this place was overrated. I wanted to like it, it came highly recommended, but it was an extreme let down for my Moms 70th. I feel horrible because I chose the place. They need more staff, they should tell their staff to not smoke out front while working, and they need to be better equipped for large parties or just not take them. The owner and her daughter were nice, but it wasn’t enough to make up for a bad experience. They gave us a card for a free appetizer after our 3rd visit. They should have given us free appetizers for our unorganized and not very good experience. We won’t be back!

Hi we went here last summer for the first time, we had a real nice dinner. So we decided to come back again. We called for reservations on Saturday 7 – 18. Gianna the owner/Chef’s daughter greeted us and sat us at our table. I asked her what she suggested and the specials all sounded amazing. We went with the home made Cavatelli with shrimp and crab meat in a pink sauce delicious. Then we ordered the grilled baby lamb chops season and perfectly cooked medium. We also had the Chicken Siggi, spicey with hot peppers and potato and olives, OMG. The eggplant parm was tender and not heavy with cheese. Now the best was the hospitality that Gianna showed and also sent her father out to meet us, he was so happy that we were pleased, and sent to the table homemade amerretto cookies. The cannoli was perfect and the cheesecake was amazing. The four of us had a delicious dinner like it was in NYC. The atmosphere is Italian décor and the air condition works well, I’m giving this place 5 stars. Thanks Chef John and Daughter Gianna. John, Lucia, Maria and Joe!

This place has a very comfortable home feeling to it. The service was excellent — all of the waitresses were very conscientious. The food was great; definitely a must go if you’re in wildwood.

Io E Tu ruined a night of my family’s vacation in Wildwood. First off, the appetizers were good and the atmosphere was nice so we had high hopes for our dinners after the night was going so smoothly. My dad ordered the chicken braciole special which was a baked chicken rolled around cheese and prosciutto in a red sauce. Immediately, I could tell he did not like his meal. He pulls out the chicken breast which was buried under sauce and cheese and it was completely raw, pink and wiggling. Obviously this ruined our appetites even though the other meals were good(or as good as it could be after eating maybe two bites). We told our waitress who quickly ran to the kitchen. She explained that someone ordered the same meal and the chef pulled the wrong dish from the oven. The chef did not come from the kitchen himself to apologize for his mistake. They only offered my dad a new meal. As we waited for the new food with our appetites completely ruined, the owner approached us and asked what had happened. As my dad was explaining the situation, the woman was making faces as if she was going to vomit herself. I mean if it makes her feel that sick then how do you think he felt?! She did nothing but say sorry and emphasize how gross the situation was. No one ate any of our meals. We didn’t take anything home. We truly were grossed out beyond belief. The bill comes and they charge us for everything except my dads food! We ended up with a $ 72 dollar meal that ruined the night because we worried about my dads health! Do not go to Io E Tu.

Average at best, actually that’s a given them very high credit. We were painfully shocked to see some of the high ratings from other fellow Unilocalers. We visited this place with high expectations on our end of summer vacation, we ordered what we noticed other Unilocalers suggested which is usually a nice gauge of an establishment. Unfortunately Unilocalers got it wrong this time. Upon entering it was obvious there was an issue, yes of course it was biker week but the place was empty! It seems as though most Unilocalers were raving about the pink seafood cavetelli filled with fresh pasta, lobster, shrimp and other seafood. Bland would be an understatement and the pasta overcooked, they said it was homemade but I seriously question that. Multiple members of our party ordered this dish and were all completely dissatisfied. The eggplant rollatini was lacking flavor an over stuffed with spinach. The veal marsala was so salty you had to drink a gallon of water to prevent yourself from dehydrating. Almost all the dishes ranged in the high teens to the mid $ 20s and we’re definitely not worth that price! Service was non-existent! Please don’t get me wrong it wasn’t horrible because we brought several bottles of wine to ease the pain, but to promote themselves as an fine Italian restaurant is a travesty and shame on you Unilocalers for those high reviews, my 2 rating is very generous! And I hate exclamation points! Yes the portions were huge. Yes I understand they cater or rather prey on vacationers. Yes I understand its not fine dining. Yes its a BYOB. Yes I say PASS!

Ate here with friends last week, very good Italian BYOB. The cannoli was huge, enough for two! The crab and avocado appetizer was great but very filling and resulted in my bringing home half my entrée which was Lobster, Shrimp and Crab in a Rose sauce over Linguini. My husband enjoyed it the next day. The restaurant is loud with minimal ambiance but the food made up for it.

Caprese Salad was ice cold. Tomatoes could’ve been from December. Chicken Picata was stringy, swimming in a tasteless sauce. Penne Vodka dry and bland. Wanted Veal Francais but it came with Crab. U was told the Chef won’t prepare it w/o Crab, hell tell you to order something else. Really? Was he busy sprinkling parsley in every outgoing dish still??? Worst mistake any restaurant can make us not to care or listen to their customers. Won’t be back after going for last 3 years! Go to Mulligans.

The food was really great, but the service felt like McDonald’s. No sooner did they clear our appetizer plate when our main dish appeared. We hadn’t even gotten through our first glass of wine when they delivered coffee and dessert to our table, immediately following the check with a dismissive«take your time». I would understand if the place was packed but there were maybe four other tables? Really horrible. In addition, I had asked for my dinner served over pasta, and was told the chef«doesn’t do that» but I could order a side of pasta without sauce, and dump it on top of my dish when they delivered it. Huh? Not only is that really strange, but it’s a simple request that the back of the house could easily execute. «He doesn’t do that» is a pretty lame excuse. We won’t be returning here anytime soon.

Outstanding home style italian food on the Jersey Shore. I went with a group of six and not one of us were disappointed with our orders, in addition the entire staff was extremely attentive and friendly. Expect large family style portions, but of course that’s always a good thing. Mussels in oil and garlic, Caprese and fried calamari Antipasti were great. Our Chicken Parm, Gnocchi, Ravioli and Fusilli dinners were even better. My only minor knock on the place was the bread, but hey I’m spoiled coming from NY with our Arthur Avenue bread.

Great food, huge portions and great prices. Went with a party of six and we all loved our meals. The carrots in balsamic they give the table are really good. Homemade cannoli rock. We will definitely be back. A must try.

Historically, we never venture out for«nice» meals when we rent a week or two out of the summer down the shore. Takeout seafood feasts are more like it. But after eating home cooked meals(and too much hamburger meat) for most of the week, my fiancé and I stole away from the rest of the family to try this place. We made a reservation earlier that day and we arrived 10 minutes early. We were greeted by a semi-flustered woman(co-owner maybe?) who immediately guessed my name but promptly warned me that they had an influx of guests and that we’d have to wait. No worries at all, so settled against one of the walls in the foyer ready to hang out for awhile but within a handful of minutes she swept back in and brought us to a table. The dining room was nothing that I expected. I imagined a cozy, dimly lit BYOB with drippy candles, old menus and perhaps some Italian music playing. :) In reality, the place looks brand new with all cream colored paint, big, ornate pillars and a very open floor plan. The place was fairly packed and there were several larger tables filled with families that had young children. Honestly, the thing that threw me off the most about the décor(and don’t think I’m crazy) was the PINK linen napkins on all tables. I am no culinary expert, but I do know that there is scientific proof that colors like red and orange associate more strongly with eating and appetite. To see bright pink all over the place made me feel like it was Easter Sunday. When it’s time to replace the napkins, go for red. or gold.or any other warm tone. :) Okay! Now onto the food. Our server was very sweet and she uncorked our wine immediately. Before our appetizer arrived, we were given their complimentary marinated carrots. My mom makes them with more vinegar and more of a crunchy, raw texture but these were a little balsamic sweeter and much softer. It was served with a basket of bread. It’s always a nice touch to have something to nibble on upon seating! Our appetizer was the mussels in a garlic wine broth. The mussels themselves were the star: plump, fresh and you could taste the ocean. We both ordered specials and since I had read a few Unilocal reviews, I jumped at the chance to try the Cavatelli with Shrimp, Crab and Lobster in a Blush Sauce, which happened to be offered to us as a special. First off, the pasta portions are huge. Enough for three usual restaurant servings. The pasta was hearty and cooked perfectly al dente, the sauce was tangy and fresh but again, the seafood was the star: big pieces of crab, shrimp and lobster in every bite I took. Wow! After playing the game«okay, one last bite!» several times we got our food boxed and splurged on dessert. We ordered the cannoli and it did not disappoint. It was big enough for two(or three) to share and loaded with that delectable sweet cream cheese filling. Only crumbs remained on the plate. Prices were so reasonable, service was good and unpretentious and the food spoke for itself. Will definitely return and recommend.

Amazing Italian. Family Went on a Sunday night, a bit on the early side. Place was not very busy. Ordered a few appetizers from the list of specials. Crab with avocado was special. I had the Pear Salad-well composed, perfectly dressed. Had the Stuffed Branzino. Fish was juicy, stuffed with chopped mussels, capers, and a little crab meat. Wife had The rack of lamb. Lamb was tender, juicy, and the Demi glacé was«sop it up with the bread» delicious. Tiramisu was great, but the killer was the Canneloni. I’ve had them from the best Itallian bakeries in New York. But this one was absolutely the best. If you’re looking for a great meal in Wildwood, this is your place

Went back this past weekend with a party of seven. Just like the last visit the food and service was excellent. Even though the menu is pretty extensive they always have at least five or six specials at least on the weekends. If you are in the Wildwoods make sure to give this place a try!

Stopped in on a Wednesday night with no reservation and they were able to accommodate 6 of us(4 adults and 2 small kids). Beautiful décor(I’m a sucker for molding and it’s everywhere). They were a little short staffed so older gentleman(manager?) seated and served us. Not the friendliest guy in the world – all business and seemed preoccupied. We had to flag him down to ask him for appetizers because he took off after taking our main course order without asking if we wanted an appetizer. Everyone else was very friendly. The chef/owner even came out at one point after the appetizers because it was going to take a little long. He offered the kids a little gelato(that he makes himself) to tide them over until dinner was ready. Anyone with small children would really appreciate that and we certainly did-they were very happy and(more importantly) well behaved until dinner arrived. Everything we ate was phenomenal. You can definitely taste the fresh ingredients. Kids even ate the appetizer(eggplant) which almost never happens I had the quattro formaggio(4 cheese stuffed veal chop). I wanted to lick the plate and gnaw on the bone when I was done. Everyone loved their meals. Tiramisu for dessert was a perfect ending. A place that is BYOB would typically lose a star from me right off the bat. However this was the best tasting Italian food I’ve had since I was in Italy 11 years ago. Amazing.

A lot of restaurants use the terms«freshest, authentic, highest-quality, attention to detail, etc…» in their mission statements and restaurant descriptions to lure the customers in. This is done to the point that it’s almost something I don’t even bother to glance at on the menu or the website because I’ve read it all before. The end-results of restaurants that make these claims, not surprisingly, range from excellent to miserable. When Io E Tu states on their menu that«Chef Giovanni Varallo’s care, dedication and attention to detail transform every dish into a work of art. We hope your stay with us is a «Dining Experience.’» They are deadly serious. On Thursday night the owner actually came over to the table to ask if we were enjoying the décor and talked with us for about five minutes about getting the place opened up. As he was leaving us, he told us to enjoy our meal. When I responded«I hope to!» he simply said«You will.» as he walked away. He couldn’t have been more accurate. We returned two nights later. The service was wonderful and attentive. The décor is, in fact, beautiful. It is a small dining room and can be a bit on the loud side, but not annoyingly so. Loud more like a large family at celebratory meal, which I believe only adds to the atmosphere. After being seated we were tended to very quickly. A long list of specials was read off to us and our drinks, bread and a complimentary bowl of carrots in balsamic were brought out quickly. We went a little overboard with our ordering because there wasn’t much that didn’t look appetizing, and we were on vacation. All of my uploaded photos are from these two nights. For appetizers, my wife and I shared the braciole special(both nights). I had the Insalata Mediterraneo(night 1) and Radicchio(night 2). My wife had the Antipasto all’ Italiano(night 1) and the Figs and Prosciutto(night 2). The appetizers and salads(with the exception of the Braciole) were huge. For entrees I had the«Cavatelli with Shrimp, Crab, and Lobster in a Blush Sauce» both nights. It was a special and it was so amazing that when I heard that it was still on the menu for our second meal, I had to order it again. It was so loaded up with the shellfish that I couldn’t go in for a bite without getting some seafood on the fork. This dish was so good that my wife ordered it on our second trip. My wife’s entrée on the first night was the Aragosta all’ Amalfitana which she also loved. The portions, again, were more than ample. For dessert on the first night we split a piece of the Ricotta Cheesecake, and on night two I had the Crème Brûlée while she enjoyed the Tiramisu. All of the deserts were amazing. I have to say that we look forward to returning to this restaurant over the years to come for each and every trip we take to Wildwood. We also plan to visit their Sister restaurant Ristorante Pesto in Philadelphia as we live very close to the city and hope to be able to enjoy meals like this closer to home!

I’ve got to say, this place was awesome. It’s a new little byob by the Varallo brothers who also own restaurants in South Philly, so we expected it to be good. They gave you some complimentary carrots in balsamic with your bread, which I didn’t quite understand, but they were delicious. I had a salad, which may have been the best salad I’ve ever eaten. I had the Penne alla Puttanesca, which was full of olives and veal in a slightly spicy sauce, and it was incredible. I also tasted the dinners of the rest of my family, and I’ve got to say the real winner was my Great Grandfather who got the Gnocchi. We made a reservation, but since it’s new, there wasn’t a wait, while all of Wildwood was mobbed. We’ll definitely be back.
