Dollar Generals are hilarious. You never know what you’re going to find in here, except that whatever it is will probably cost you more than $ 1 because you pay more to have it shipped from China. And that’s the lesson with any stores in the Dollar General chain — they are not to be confused with «dollar stores.»
But just because the price isn’t a simple dollar doesn’t mean the prices aren’t reasonable when you need something in a pinch and you forgot your wallet so all you have is whatever change is in the part of your car where they used to put ashtrays. You can always find super-​cheap trash bags, bins, and paper products. It’s nothing you would publicly use, but you know if the school needs something for a fund raiser it’s not such a bad stop.
