On June 9, 2011, I was searching for an event planner to facilitate a display bridal shower I was hosting. I saw Event Planning 911 online and sent an email inquiring if they were available. I immediately received an email with an attached contract. I read and signed the contract and sent in my deposit of $ 50.00. When I didn’t receive a copy of the signed contract with the proprieter, Heather Dehnel’s, signature, on June 15, I emailed her and asked if she could confirm that she would be available for the date of the shower. She didn’t respond to the email. She cashed my $ 50.00 check on June 17. I called her at the phone number listed on the website on June 21 and June 22. No response. I began to research and saw that she was affiliated with a group of vendors called«NEPA Party Pros.» I left an email on June 22 with the«Party Pros» website stating that I was trying to get in touch with Ms. Dehnel. On June 23, she called me. I couldn’t talk at the moment she called and asked if I could call her back. When I did, it went to her voice mail. I left a message that I was concerned about her professionalism and response time which are very important for event planners. I explained that since I hadn’t received verification that we were confirmed and since she hadn’t returned my email or phone calls, I had contracted a new planner for my event. She didn’t return my call. I called her the next morning to make certain that she had received my message(and wouldn’t show up the day of the shower) and she became defensive saying that she returned my call promptly from June 22. I mentioned the email of June 15 and she said she hadn’t seen it and she would ‘have to check her emails.” I mentioned that I had not received a signed contract. She had no response. She made no effort to smooth over the situation or try to retain my business. *This review does not apply to the other vendors in «NEPA Party Pros.»
