In the core of downtown Wilkes-Barre, the Public Square Park is where they put up the town’s Christmas Tree. It’s also a spot with benches and grass and a handful of historical markers denoting interesting times in the city’s history. Metered street parking all around the square, with two lanes of traffic in a counter-clockwise roundabout. Two stars because several of the pavements in the park are cracked or broken, the brick paths are missing some bricks and are very uneven. Unsafe!
