I prefer local restaurants to chain restaurants, but the wife loves Red Lobster and truth be told, this is one of the better chain restaurants I don’t mind eating in. so for Valentine’s Day, we ate here. As with any Red Lobster, they get busy and they don’t take call-ahead reservations. We arrived to a full parking lot and standing room only in the sitting area but managed to get a seat at the bar to have a drink while waiting for our table. Our bartender just poured my beer and mixed my wife a drink and Boom!, our pager thingy was flashing and vibrating. For as busy as they were, we didn’t wait an unreasonable amount of time to get our appetizer or our meal — and everything came out as ordered, was hot and as always, very tasty. The staff is courteous, friendly, attentive and have an excellent knowledge of the menu. This restaurant is always clean inside and out. While we only eat at Red Lobster a once or twice a year, this location never disappoints. We will be back.

Service is always nice, but the food is very«restaurant chain» tasting. As always the biscuits are to die for, but my seafood craving never really feels satisfied when I come here. The lobster artichoke dip I got didn’t really taste like anything? If that’s possible. I also got scallops and coconut shrimp which were both okay. The scallops were a bit over done and didn’t really have the right flavor. I really don’t ever come here unless I have a coupon or a gift card. Got four stars because the establishment itself and staff are great, just food kind of isn’t awesome which is a corporate issue I believe.

Seated at 6:05. Ordered food at 6:15. Twenty minutes later waiter stopped by to apologize for delay on appetizer. People who came in after us were finishing their appetizers. Ten minutes later manager came by and said he is taking appetizer off the bill. …ok but where’s our food??? Fifteen minutes go by… God I’m hungry!!! Other tables are finishing their entrees. Fifteen more minutes.. They brought salads that we should have been served half hour ago. Nice salad… one cherry tomato and a heap of lettuce. All right now… would your patience be wearing thin? Oh, a while back the manager said they were putting a rush on our meals. Total time seated? Over an hour. Oh, we never got our food. we finally left. Nice job folks… it was my son’s birthday.

I went here on my dinner break from work as it is Friday(no meat!) and I had forgotten to pack a meal. I ordered my meal, and it came out with a very obvious and large hair woven into the rice and fish. I called the waitress over and showed her, and then she brought the manager over who apologized once, took the plate away and told me they’d bring me another. I then had to wait for another meal to be cooked, which I ate hastily in order to return to work on time. Afterwards I asked for my check, fully expecting to be told that the meal was comped due to the large hair on my plate. Perhaps I am naïve, or my standards are too high. Either way, the waitress began preparing my check. At this point I assumed that I would need to pay for my beverage, or perhaps the manager had only taken a percentage of the meal off. No. The check landed on my table as if my service had been flawless. Again, I wouldn’t have been upset if I had only received a discount, or even if the manager had checked in again to make sure my second meal was okay. Anything more than a «whoops sorry, we will get you another one.» Hairs in food at restaurants are utterly and completely unacceptable. People pay good money for well prepared food. Raise your standards and check your plates in the pass before you send a hair to your guests — and if you do make a mistake, apologize and don’t force the guest to pay for your hair.

Let’s start in the waiting area where nail’s sticking out of the wall ripped my granddaughters brand new dress. The manager offered to pay for it if we sent him the bill(which was fine) Then we ordered lobster tails, my tail was fine, my wife’s was so tough we could not chew it and sent it back. Next the corn on the cob was just mush on the cob. The salad was very small and the portion of mashed potatoes was the size of a golf ball. We used to go every other week and noticed we would have to wait for a table but there were twenty five to thirty tables empty. Maybe trying to save money by not hiring more help? We are done with red lobster.

How do you approach reviewing something like Red Lobster? If they served this stuff at the golden arches, we would be stark-raving-amazeballs. But a meal like this at Le Cirque would call for a congressional investigation. I’m just going to take things at face value. It was not a very good meal. I knew what to expect but we had a $ 25 gift certificate to burn through and it seemed like a good idea at the time. But even with the $ 25 discount(on our $ 50 check) Red Lobster just doesn’t seem worth it. I had a $ 16 prix-fixe deal with a $ 9.99 lobster tail add-on. The shrimp skewers were OK but the wild rice they were served on was about as downright tasteless and bland as possible. The split lobster tail tasted OK but was probably seven ounces of meat. Starters were a Manhattan Clam Chowder straight out of Cambell’s Soup and an iceberg lettuce Caesar salad. A micro-slice of cheesecake was probably the best of the bunch. The service was fine. The atmosphere was quite generic although the lighting was a bit too dark save for a harsh, overly-bright light focused straight down onto the middle of the table. Everyone goes on and on about the free Cheddar Bay Biscuits on the table but I just can’t get too excited about something that tastes like Pillsbury Pop ‘N Fresh rolls with a bit of cheese and Old Bay seasoning.

Been here for 3 different High School graduations with a bigger group, and many other meals. Food is consistently good and never had a problem with waitresses. I’m not usually a big fan of chain restaurants but Red Lobster has always been a cut above the rest with their service and food at this location!

It’s a Red Lobster. The food is okay, not great. And the service is hit or miss.

Good place to eat. I love seafood so I like this restaurant. Sometimes it takes a while to get seated though, I guess business is good.

Garlic cheddar biscuits, need i say more? [*BESTITEMATREDLOBSTER*] I typically only go to Red Lobster during Shrimpfest, but since my girlfriend had a hankering for seafood and we live in NEPA we found ourselves going to Red Lobster. The service is what one would expect at a casual dining restaurant. I enjoyed my lobster pizza, even though it would be nice if it had more cheese and more lobster on it. My girlfriend enjoyed her cajun chicken and shrimp alfredo pasta, which she ordered from off of the menu. As Arnold said, «I’ll be back.»

I don’t go to Red Lobster often because of the higher prices, but I must say that when I can afford it, it really is a good time. Recently, I ordered the new Bar Harbor Lobster Bake and I absolutely loved it! It may be one of the most expensive things on the menu, but SO worth it. The shrimp and mussels were delicious and the lobster was cooked to perfection. If you love lobster, you have to order it!

I’m not a big fan of chain restaurants to begin with. The corporate idea of food that should be the same at every single location scares me. But there’s something about the Lob that made me sad. The second you walk in the door, into the waiting area, the first thing you see? A LOBSTERTANK. Your dinner sits there, sadly taunting you before you even get to sit down, look at a menu, and decide how you’d like to eat it. By the way, I had lobster pizza today. Lobster on top of pizza. And while I left, I swear the lobsters in the tank figured out what had happened and were trying to get me to take them with me. Sorry lobster bros, maybe next time.
