Tuft-Tex Carpet

I hired this company because they have been around for a long time. My friend had gotten carpeting installed and was very pleased with the color and seeming competence. I contracted with them to have my 1^st floor done with engineered hardwood. I thought they had their own people to install, but instead they hire contractors to install. I think they were probably more skilled in laying carpeting, because my floor is not level. there are spots where the flooring is not touching the original floor, so when you walk on it, it bends with the weight. They told me there was nothing they could do, and eventually it will lay better, but I think there must be a way they could have leveled the original floor before putting the new flooring over it. Also, it took a lot longer than feasible. They put the floor down in decent time, but it took months for them to come back and finish the molding. and still, some of that never got finished. The edging around my fireplace wasn’t done right, so the salesman/​owner had his step son, a woodworker come over to fix it, but he never came back to complete it, either. Also, before the floor was done, the workers and owner wanted me to pay the remainder of what I owed them, as the workers needed to be paid, and foolish me, still trusting at that point, paid them.
Even with the still missing molding and «bounce» in some spots, the floor looks beautiful, but that’s because it’s a good expensive product. Not because I had good people install it.
Please consider getting someone else to do any work for your home before you, too, make an over $ 10,000.00 mistake.
