A cozy, friendly place to have breakfast, lunch or dinner. The service is quick and the food has always arrived hot and correct as ordered. The burgers have a special sauce, which is always a nice change from traditional. The fries are yummy and their pies are sweet. Can’t go wrong if looking for a place to stop at on your way to or from the beach.

Pleasant all American logging town eatery. Hearty meals, very friendly, family friendly place to eat. Cookies, deserts, sandwiches and salads they pretty much have it all and the pricing is fair too. Not a bad place to sop on the way to the coast or a quick lunch in between hwy 18 travels. French fries are yum and the burgers are fantastic too.

First I have to say that this place has excellent service! Very friendly wait staff and very attentive. The food was decent, pretty average diner/standard breakfast food. They made me a custom omelet that was pretty good! Very comfortable place to eat and the people there are great! One of waiters had heard that we had planned on taking a trip, so he brought my son a cookie(free) for the drive. It was very sweet and kindhearted.

Had a great, hearty breakfast. Friendly atmosphere, community oriented. Found out there is an arm wrestling contest in Williamina. Worth stopping.

Nice little home town dinner. It takes you back in time, the food is pretty good. The service is great. I will return if I’m ever in the area.

Stopped in for a burger and fries one afternoon, big mistake. The service was polite, but just barely so. The food could’ve been transplanted from my junior high school cafeteria. Both the burger and fries were the most peculiar shade of beige; and, before I was even halfway through the meal, I needed to excuse myself to the restroom. I sha’n’t be returning.

Coyote Joes is a family oriented establishment with clean facility, warmly decorated, and truly good people. The food is traditional Amerian fare you can rely on the quality and kindness you would expect in a small town. Granted, the folks may not be moving faster then a speeding bullet. But life seems to have a slower sort of pace here, people enjoy their time no matter what they are doing. It is a nice retreat from the chaos of life to slow down and stop and smell the roses at Coyote Joes.

Coyote Joe’s sits at the end of Willamina’s main drag looking back into the town. Displayed prominently on the front window is a sign saying: «We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.» They must have problems with rowdiness in these sawmill towns. Whatever, Coyote Joe’s makes it quite clear that they are not going to put up with any nonsense. The setting here couldn’t be better. Antique chairs, green checkered table cloths, and a picture of an elk on the wall. However, there is one bad design flaw. It isn’t’ clear if patrons should seat themselves or wait to be seated. Our server had to constantly say, «Just sit wherever you like.» At the end of the day she must feel like a broken record. A sign saying«Please seat yourself» could save customers and Coyote Joe’s employees a lot of grief. Service at Coyote Joe’s will require a lot of your patience. On our visit one server was running the cash register and handling the two dining rooms. As you can imagine it’s rather hard to keep your timing when you’re serving eight tables and operating a cash register. Our server was trying to smile and be efficient. However, the strain was clearly showing on her face. The menu here is quite good. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner is served on most days. However, Coyote Joe’s closes at 4PM on Sundays. Among the menu offerings are pancakes, biscuits and gravy, burgers, sandwiches, ribs, fish and chips, and chicken. The prices are quite reasonable. Most of the entrees are below $ 10. Many breakfasts are offered for around $ 6. On our visit we tried a burger and the special chicken fried steak. The burger and the accompanying fries were very mediocre. The breading and the gravy for the chicken fried steak were both very well done. However, the side dish was unseasoned and unbuttered canned corn. The salad was equally uninspired. Coyote Joe’s is in a great setting and has great potential. If they could hire some more help and pay some more attention to detail then Coyote Joe’s could become a very respectable American Café.
