I enjoy Willcox for hiking and visiting the wineries but I hate the options for food in Willcox. There aren’t many food options and the food is pretty bad. I am going to give Salsa Fiesta the benefit of the doubt and give them three stars after just one visit. They have a salsa bar with five types of salsas and free chips. The food was simply ok, really nothing that great. However, the restaurant is cute, the prices are reasonable, the service was fast, and the salsa bar was clean. They are open on Sundays while most of Willcox is not. They have a full bar and they are a small local restaurant. If you are in Willcox on a Sunday this place is a good option.

The food? Good. not bad at all. The strawberry lemonade was nice. Until you realize that they are priced at four dollars.each. The reason(aside from gouging on lemonade prices) I gave this two stars was the service. which was vile to say the least. Food was tossed at us. Refills on drinks were made to feel like we were abusive. The waitress never checked on us once on her own accord. We weren’t offered dessert or even our ticket and were forced to walk up and ask for it. Everything arrived super fast(order wise) but wrong. We had to send back the no-beans order and the enchiladas were cool to the touch. Willcox doesn’t offer much; but you’d be better with Safeway down the street. And much happier talking to a tree than a waitress at this place.

Delisious strawberry lemonade but yucky tacos I was expecting corn tortillas and I got flour… I ate them cause I was hungry. Cool service very friendly, but they need to update their menu: shrimp tostadas and ceviche!!! A must in this HOTWEATHERTOWN!

I ended up here by accident. I liked the colorful décor. The service was good; the waitress was very friendly. The food was OK, but nothing special. It had a cafeteria-like quality about it.

Vegetable burrito(beans, guacamole, sour cream and rice inside) I ordered was good and it was less than 5 dollars. The restaurant was busy and only one server there but she was prompt and friendly.

The meat was absolutely disgusting. I took one bite of a ground beef taco and it tasted so bad that I did not want to eat any more for fear of getting food poisoning. My friend who ordered a chicken burrito said the exact same thing. To their credit they did not charge him for the burrito but this was still just bad food. Sorry.

The taco salad with shredded beef was actually really good. It was loaded with veggies like olives, green onions, jalapenos, tomatoes, lettuce. Unlike some places which just throw lettuce in there and that’s it. Service was on top of it, they refilled my drink as soon as I needed it. They greeted me when I came in. The salsa was decent, spicy, but nothing amazing. I would go back.

Yuck. but then again not much to choose from if you are passing through for the night. Picture not correct of place but address is right.

How can anyone give this restaurant any less than a full 5 stars? I eat there every time I go through Willcox, which is often. I have even tried the fried okra — pretty good. I want to try the fried pickles next time! Their combination plate with the chile relleno, taco and enchilada is an awesome value. But the best two things I like are the fact the place is spotlessly clean, and that they have a fresh salsa bar … mmmm.

Nice staff, but yuck, the guacamole we ordered for the chips had huge globs of mayonnaise in it. I ordered the guacamole salad, and same thing, maybe 70 percent mayonnaise and 30 percent avocado. It looked to me like food made by a prison chef who didn’t have the budget for better ingredients. Then when I asked for grilled chicken on top of the guacamole salad I got this machine shredded chicken that looked old and tasted like sawdust. I’m finding better Mexican food in Brooklyn NY! I have been to this place a couple times and it seems to be the place I stop at when at Inde doing a track day. I had an issue with the food the last time I was in. Our dishes were microwaved and it looked as if the food was premade and frozen until needed. This is a major turn off as I would like my food made fresh everytime. The food itself is medicore. They offer a Chinese menu as well which is an odd combination, but I don’t think I have ever seen anyone order chinese. I’m sure I will go again, but I have certainly eaten better quality mexican food.

WILLCOX: Gateway to seeing the wintering Sandhill cranes, Rex Allen Days, Apple Annie’s Orchard, and nice stopping point on the way to one of the best walking trails in AZ: Ft. Bowie Historic Park. And now, another reason to visit Willcox: Hitting one of the restaurants on the SALSATRAIL… www.salsatrail.com/ I had cheese enchiladas and a bean tostada… my standard fare in new places. They were fine, could have been a little hotter serving-wise but it tasted good and was along the Tex-Mex line. My partner had a taco salad and pronounced it attractively served, tasty, served with lots of salsas(the picante salsa was especially good) to choose from. Our server was very pleasant and attentive and we didn’t have to wait long at all. The restaurant was clean and full of locals enjoying their meals. We’re looking forward to visiting the other restaurants on the Trail and will report back here on Unilocal

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food at Salsa Fiesta. I had two chicken enchiladas(green and red) and both were very good. The service was pretty good, and the place was clean. One thing I find puzzling is their foray into Chinese food. Chinese and Mexican food do not go well together.

Canned beans. Salty salsa. Over deep fried greasy chili rellenos. «green chile sauce» tasted like cream of chicken soup. The best thing we ordered was the cheese quesadilla for my two-year old. Skip it

Delicious tex-mex food. Nice salsa bar. Friendly staff. And good prices. If you’re passing through(’cause lord knows, you don’t live in Willcox) stop here for lunch or dinner.
