Charter Family Fruit Stand

I cannot believe that I have been driving by this place for years on various road trips and finally stopped a few weeks ago. I was HOOKED! Stopped again yesterday on another trip and filled up a box and wish I had taken the time to fill up 2 boxes! Best watermelon I’ve ever tasted was one that I purchased there yesterday. Wish I had bought more dang it. The prices are incredible and the fresh produce even better. We are also hooked on the different flavored pistachios that you can buy in bulk. A different staff person each time and they were both friendly and warm, super fast, and helpful. I live about 2 hours away and next year (season), I am seriously considering road trips just to shop at the Charter Family Fruit Stand.

Whenever we are on I 5 N we have to stop here. I love all the fresh picked fruits and vegetables from local farmers. The quality is excellent and there is a lot of variety. My husband loves the jarred jalapeño pickles and we can’t find them elsewhere. The staff is knowledge, pleasant and helpful when we are picking up fruits and veggies for our road trips or vacation.

Super fresh veggies. clean store, helpful and friendly staff. It’s well worth the 6 mile drive from I-​5. This will be a regular stop when traveling I-​5 in the summer months. We’ve had the most incredible honeydew melons, green beans, brussel sprouts and corn.

I have stopped in here a few times on the way to the coast and have been pleased every time with the offerings they have. This time they had an abundance of corn, cantaloupes and honeydews and they all looked good. We were only staying a few nights and going back home a different way so we figured we might as well get some things now and they would be fine in the car cause its cooler on the coast anyway. The cantaloupes were fabulous and so sweet, in fact I saved some seeds so I could grown this variety myself next year. We got some grapes and apricots and pluots and they were all sweet and ripe as well. They ladies are always so friendly here and they sell nuts and honey and a bunch of other things here too. I have boughten the honey before and it is very good. If you are on the road and want some fresh snacks and fruit or veggies this is your place the friendly staff will help you worth whatever you are looking for and the prices are just right.

Freshest produce around. Almost as good as growing it yourself! I’ll have to try the jams and pies one of these days. There selection is always good and of course, always seasonal.
