Very poor customer service! I asked if I could use a merchandise certificate from the Banana Republic store and was told by a manager that, yes, I could. When I returned to the counter with some things I wanted to buy, that specific manager was gone and the one filling in for her, Megan, very rudely told me that I couldn’t. The same associate(who had the personality of a turnip) who had helped the previous manger would not confirm it, so I was out of luck. Had they been polite it would not have been a problem, but they were so rude! None of the employees bothered to even make eye contact, much less say«hello» or «have a nice day». As a result of this poor experience I will no longer shop at any Gap store from here on out– or any stores affiliated with it, such as Banana Republic or Old Navy. I guess it is just too hard to hire people who will treat customers like human beings.

This is one of the standard stops when I come to Tanger. I signed up for emails and get awesome deals, like the one today for an additional 40% of total purchase including clearance. $ 50 jeans were $ 18! I do have trouble with fit on some items here. Jeans never fit quite right and some of the shirts feel pretty boxy. I have good luck with sweaters/cardigans(they have tons of good colors and patterns), skirts, sandals, accessories and occasionally dresses but again, the fit doesn’t seem to have as much care put into it as a non-outlet GAP. Still a great place for wardrobe basics, especially with the emailed coupons.
