Things did not start off well. Seating is not great. Mostly high tables and a few regular tables with stools with no backs. Not too comfy. We came to try the mac & cheese burger and they were out. Ordered a beer and they didn’t have it either. They made up for it by comping us a beer and coke. Very nice gesture. Much appreciated. Got the guac bites for an app and they were delicious. We ordered the bacon cheese and chile burgers. These are some of the best burgers we have ever had! We will be back to try the mac & cheese burger but will call ahead first lol

Great brunch concept! Self serve mimosas — both in traditional orange and pineapple! The food was good — burgers are their specialty! It is a more trendy/modern atmosphere — so the music is loud early for brunch. Fun place if that’s the atmosphere you’d like– avoid if you’re looking for something quiet and chill.

I came here for brunch this past Sunday for brunch and had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in a restaurant before. My cousins had driven from up north to come visit me and after being quoted an hour and a half wait at my fave spot Le Barricou we decided to try our luck at this new joint. After calling ahead and being assured that we’d be able to get our party of 6 in with no wait we decided to check it out. Upon entering we weren’t greeted and there didn’t appear to be a hostess so I walked directly to the back where i saw a large bench that would fit our entire group. Apparently that was my HUGE mistake because the guy behind the bar, tall bearded good-looking black guy wearing a beanie, proceeded to yell at my entire group(as if we were children) that we needed to wait to be sat. Okay, sorry man, we didn’t know, my bad! After telling him we had a party of 6 he yelled a muffled«Fuck!» under his breath and then sat us. Now all of this would have been forgiven if the situation hadn’t proceeded to get worse. Half of the table ordered the bottomless deal, which is a pretty good price as stated below, but it took over 25 min between the appetizer course and the entrée. Which was especially painful for those of us who ordered only entrees. Waiting for 45 min to get our food after being yelled at like children by the bartender is not exactly my idea of a good time. When the food finally did arrive it was poorly plated — it looked like it was slopped down into metal plates with the care of a cafeteria lunch lady. I should’ve taken a picture but I was honestly too hungry to care at this point. The food was mediocre at best — I had the crossaint-which, I heard the sausage patty was better, but I was hungry so whatever. After having very minimal interaction with the wait staff, the tall bearded man came back, asked us if we needed anything else, and then brought our check. We felt a bit like we were being rushed out, but again, it’s Sunday… I’ve worked at a restaurant before, I get it. Since some of us only had cards we split the check between 3 cards and the rest cash. I wrote the last 4 digits of the cards and the dollar amounts owed on the back of the receipt. The man came back for the check, I explained it to him, and he said«is there anyway you guys can just pay all cash it’ll be a lot faster!» Unfortunately we didn’t all have cash so I told him«no worries, weren’t not in a rush, we have time.» He looked at me point blank and said«YEAHBUT I DONTHAVETIMEFORTHAT.» Like seriously dude? WHOSAYSTHAT??? It’d be one thing if he had just yelled at us upon entrance, or the food hadn’t taken forever, or if it was remotely tasty… but seriously!!! I’m sorry, that guy should NOT be working at a restaurant with an attitude like that. Completely unacceptable. Needless to say, even though I literally live down the street, not only will I NEVER return, but I’ll definitely be sure to tell all of my friends in the area that Hello Bklyn is not a place they want to seek out. I still can’t even believe how ridiculous that bartender was. Thanks but no thanks. Id give this place zero stars if I could.

This place is walking distance for me! On the flip side me and a group of friends came here and waited a full hour for our food to come. When it arrived the order was mixed up and the food was a few degrees from being cold. Good playlist though but not enough to make you full. There’s a first time for everything right? Well this doesn’t get a second chance. Sorry.

If you wanna get diabetes and catch a heart attack then order the Mac and cheese burger. Seriously just that. You can’t eat anything else if you order it.

I’ve been eyeing Hello Bklyn since it opened up so when I finally got the opportunity to stop by for brunch, I definitely wasn’t disappointed! From my personal experience, Hello Bklyn deserves 5 stars across the board. From the moment we stepped inside the vibe was awesome. If you stop by, I suggest you take a good look at all of the Brooklyn inspired artwork on the walls, really dope pieces all over! I love hiphop, so I was definitely loving the fact that they played Drake & Future but then switched it up with some old school joints. The brunch special consists of 2 plates and unlimited mimosas for $ 25, great deal if you ask me. For a lush like myself, the self-serve mimosas were a major plus. I hate waiting around for a drink refill especially when places tend to get super busy during brunch hours. I arrived with 3 others pretty late for brunch so our server Joseph suggested seats at the bar if we didn’t wanna wait a while for a table. I don’t mind sitting at the bar so we took advantage of his offer and were seated right away. Joseph was extremely attentive and very outgoing. He made great conversation with us and some great suggestions for brunch as well. The guacamole toast topped with a poached egg was amazing, I could’ve easily had another with no hesitation. For my main plate, I chose the bacon, egg, and cheese burger. I’m usually not a huge fan of burgers but damn this one was delicious. We ended up staying way past 4pm so by that time the whole brunch crowd had cleared up. Edwin, Joseph, and Jose all demonstrated great hospitality and were very friendly. We didn’t even notice how long we were actually there because we were all having a great time. I definitely look forward to my next Sunday brunch at Hello Bklyn but this time I’ll show up a lot earlier, haha.

Hello Bklyn is an outstanding place that demonstrates superior hospitality. Came here for brunch and I honestly cant wait to go back. The food was delicious. The guacamole toast is definitely recommended. The mimosas were great as well(unlimited mimosas by the way)! Hello Bklyn has a great ambiance. Joesph, one of the waitstaff, was very attentive and helped me and my family enjoy our first time there. Jose, the owner, was very friendly and welcoming. I honestly spent majority of my time there just hanging out and conversing with my family and the staff.

Dear Hello Bklyn, I fell in love with you at first sight. Besides your attractive and friendly waitstaff, I’m talking to you Alex and Joseph, everything about your restaurant screams Urban, Hip Hop, Art, Uniqueness, Creativity and PASSION… which let’s be honest is reflected in the quality and taste of your food and a perfect addition to this South Side Willie B Hood. Your $ 25 for unlimited mimosas and two plates is perhaps one of the best brunch deals I have ever witnessed and I wasn’t the one having the deal but WILLBE back for it. WAIT and my ultimate favorite thing was the fact that the mimosas are self serve, WHAT? You mean I don’t have to pester/wait for waitstaff to bring drinks when I DESPERATELY need it. Also, the self serve coffee with raw brown sugar and almond milk available… unlimited for $ 3! I would marry you if I wasn’t already married… WAIT and the fact that you take reservations for Brunch a near impossible feat in NYC, made me elated since I had a large group of hangry Floridians, Miami natives to be exact. I was able to try the banana nut muffin with an egg and cheese purée, one bite and I was ready to steal the meal from the husband who isn’t even a sweets guy and nearly cut me when I tried to take another bite. NO worries I was pefectly happy with my egg white, bacon, spinach croissant-wich… sooo Deliiiiigthfuly buttery, toasty, and warm. I will and shall be back and this love affair shall continue as I wish your business so much success, hope to see you soon! XOXO… A Big Fan… Astrid M.

Came here for brunch & it’s one of the few spots in bk w bottomless brunch so that automatically makes it a go to. The diff flavored mimosas are self serve so you pick your amount of poison. How cool is that? Also the staff is very warm & welcoming. The main girl there Alex is very sweet & accommodating. This is deff a hidden gem that I would deff recommend to all locals!

I love Hello Bklyn and their burgers ! The restaurant is located at a great corner and has great ambience. The staff is great and very easy to talk to. The crowd is a good mix and everyone just has a great time in this establishment. I tried their lunch and their brunch menu. For lunch, I tried their namesake Hello Burger and it as cooked to perfection. I asked for medium well and it arrived oozing with deliciousness. The burger was juicy and put together very well. I recommend the side of Onion Rings which I can not describe with words how good it is. On a second occasion, I came here with some colleagues for brunch and ordered their Bacon, Egg and Cheese Burger. My goodness this was an absolute favorite amongst the group(we all ordered the same thing). It came with a side of fries which was good but as good as the onion rings. I’m glad Hello Bklyn is so close to work because it’s a great place to hang out and have a great time with good company.

Extremely friendly staff and a nice place to hang out. My girlfriend and I met up at this bar, and she arrived a bit before me. She’d asked for a specific beer but they’d just put the keg on and it wasn’t ready to be served. Instead, she got another beer and they offered it on the house. She also got some fries that she enjoyed. P. S. I noticed on the bartender’s monitor that my girlfriend’s tab had been named«Bar Lady» in the cash register, which I thought was hilarious. Having only ordered fries and a beer, she did not feel that she was deserving of this newfound identity, but also found it amusing.

I’ve been here 3 times and have had no complaints. The first time coming I did brunch with some friends and was really excited to see what all the hype was about(Same owner as Apt.78 uptown, love that place) and I was pleasantly surprised! I had the avocado toast to start which I scarfed down in a matter of seconds. For the entrée we all got the steak and eggs(so much for food swapping to try different dishes lol) which was sooooo good. The side of spinach was perfectly cooked and the steak was really savory. They have unlimited self serve mimosas at the end of the bar, which was great for us since we sat adjacent to the bar so refills were plenty! I wanted to try the dinner menu so I swung by on a Wednesday(Whiskey Wednesday as they advertise on Instagram) with some friends and literally tried a little bit of everything. The chicken sandwich was amazing, the fries are amazing, the spinach dip was aaaamazing and the whiskey selection was up to par! The third time coming here was definitely one of my favorites. I came for brunch with some girlfriends and a baby(no high chair for the kiddies) around 1pm and ended up leaving at 7pm! I felt like I was at home eating and drinking with close friends! The staff was super sociable, very welcoming and the food had me in a coma, the burger with the friend egg was super filling too! Of course let’s not forget the unlimited mimosas that really had us there for that long haha. The chef also swung by and asked for some feedback on our experience which was nice of him to interact and get a feel of what the customers are looking for. All in all I LOVE this place and I wish I lived a bit closer to it so it could be my neighborhood«cheers» bar! Thank you for all the hospitality and shots! :)

I love this place! Their brunch deal is fantastic. $ 25 gets you a a starter(I recommend the guacamole toast with poached egg that they have, super delicious), an entrée(plenty to choose from) and bottomless mimosa of various flavors. really can’t beat that deal. We ordered the caprese sandwich(fresh melted mozzarella, pesto, tomato, sliced sourdough bread) and the Bacon egg & cheese french toast sandwich(on challah bread with blueberry compote), and the bacon cheeseburger with fried egg. All were yummy. The mimosa is self-serve! they have two huge things of it on the bar and you just go up and serve yourself. it’s awesome. we also had coffee and they didnt charge us for that. Setting: nice big windows with natural light streaming in, current hip hop playing at a normal background volume, high tables with stools. not really kid-friendly(they don’t have a high chair so be wary if you’re coming with kids). the service staff was super friendly, fun and sociable. everytime i’m there i wind up staying for like 5 or 6 hours. i’ve met the chef too, who is awesome. oh and they randomly brought us shots on several occasions. yup. place is awesome. i almost don’t want to tell anyone about it cause it’s still a gem BUT it’s too good to keep to myself!

I’m sorry, but this place really let me down. First and foremost, the prices are a bit high for the area. The burgers are greasy and do not translate to the prices they are charging here. I believe the fries are double fried. I had indigestion within hours of eating here. My waitress was very friendly. When I saw them building the place, I had high hopes, but unfortunately, they were dashed. Maybe in a few months, I will try again and re-rate them with a better experience.

This review is solely based on brunch since I have yet to come in for dinner. For starters, silly me checked the wrong menu and was excited to come for their amazing burger selection. However, please note that all of those burgers are not listed on the brunch menu. Their brunch is $ 25(good price) and includes a starter, entrée and unlimited mimosa, coffee and another drink(I forget the name at the moment). As for the selections, maybe I need to expand my palette but the starters were a yogurt parfait, oatmeal, muffin, or a egg white bacon croissant while entrée selection included a cheeseburger, steak and eggs, challah french toast etc. Since I wanted a burger I of course went with the only burger on the menu but found it hard to pick a starter… *who wants oatmeal or yogurt before a burger*? lol so I would recommend that they add better pairings for their starters, or at least include the fries with the burger option. Also when I went the unlimited drinks were self serve so you have to keep getting up from your stool(CAUTION) to refill your glass. So, all your server does is take your order, bring your food, and remove your plates which makes their job easier, but sucks for the customer if they don’t want to have to keep rising from their seat. I hope to stop in again for dinner but wouldn’t hurry back for brunch.

Came here for a cool Saturday night dinner. Had seen the place coming to life as I live rather close. Very cool vibe and nice staff! Burger selection is top notch and their guac fried bites are just ridiculously good!!! Had the Mac& cheese burger, huuuge and tasty! Cheers to the nice, friendly and super available staff! Price are really ok! Low key burger/bar to recommend to any locals!

Came here during their grand opening weekend with my kids. It was brunch and they had a nice menu. For $ 25, you get to pick two dishes and bottomless mimosas or guavamosa(my fav). Kids under 8 eat free for brunch! The music is amazing. Old school hip hop, R&B, Alternative and Rock. I know the owner, and he’s always been amazing to my kids and I. We will definitely visit again and recommend to our friends.
