Stepped foot in here on a nasty rainy/snowy night and you couldn’t tell me I wasn’t on the beach in the Caribbean with a piña colada in hand. Ok maybe you could but still!!! The vibes you get in this place is so chill. The colorful chairs and tables along with the reggae playing through the speakers. They were playing sizzla… SIZZLA!!! Also, I got to hear«WORK» by Rihanna so I really thought I was at a backyard bashment. I had the cod fritters and bake and shark. I LOVED the food. Fresh out the pot and seasoned very well. The prices are reasonable and the service is great. I think that I’m really obsessed with how this place makes me feel. I see there is a backyard here and I can’t wait to take advantage of that during the summer months.

My exceptions were really met for this place BUT the service can be improved. The waitress was a little slow and she was not on top of or food, to the point where out food was left on the counter and got cold before being served to us. The stew fish was super delicious ohmahgawd, but I was a little disappointed in the size of the piece of fish(i was excepting a snapper fish for the price point). As a native Trinidadian, I would say the bake was on point aka i could eat it by itself. Its really cute spot and the music really embodies the spirit of the restaurant. I would be back(in hopes that the waitress improves her hospitality skills).

Went for lunch and dinner in the last week. Unbelievable food, great service, and the frozen drink thing was yums. The bake was great for lunch and the jerk chicken dish for dinner. Try the tamarind sauce.

The food was delicious and service was excellent. Very impressed that the cook offered to make me fresh guacamole due to my tomato allergy! I didn’t even have to ask!!!

Omg! I’m so happy that I found this place(thanks to IG). Got here around 7pm on a Friday night and luckily there was several open tables. I ordered Rum Punch(2!) and short braised ribs. My rum punch took me back to Barbados and the ribs, rice and peas, slaw my lawd!!! Even the little side of rib sauce was off the hook. My hubby got Bake n Pulled pork and Red stripe(he drank too much the night prior or else he would of been all over the rum punch as well). His bake was sick and«fucking amazing». We can’t wait to return to try the Roti and jerk chicken. And by the time we left they started taking names for tables. Super friendly staff and food came out fresh and fast. Thank you!

Amazing place. The atmosphere is bright and fun and the food is delicious. It was spiced absolutely perfectly with just the right amount of heat. My favorites were the accra(cod fritters) and bake and geera pork(perfectly spiced, tender pork with pineapple salsa stuffed in fry bread). My husband stated the jerk chicken was the best he had ever had(I thought is was good but don’t love chicken in general). The rice and peas is dense with flavor and red beans and is again spiced to perfection. Luckily our 1.5 year old can get down with some spice so she loved the whole experience, including the super baby-friendly staff that brought her a side of the pineapple salsa because she loved it so much in the bake and geera pork. Love this place.

Very excited about this place opening this winter. I have tried almost everything on the menu because I keep coming back! So far the bake n shrimp is my favorite! All the bakes come with a variety of Caribbean sauces that in my opinion really brings out the flavor or in the dish. The crab back, salad, and fresh juices are also a big hit for me. The vibe is always fun, music is on point, and I like how they decorated the restaurant. Little place with a lot of character

A hip, new Brooklyn spot with a very cool and palpable Caribbean-90s vibe. I just want to sit around and shazam every song on their dope playlist. But we also ate here, and the food was quite good, too. Portions for the appetizers are a little on the small size, but when it comes to the main dishes, you’ll get your fill and then some(the shrimp roti was enormous!).Service is beyond friendly, and the atmosphere at Pearl’s truly makes«everything irie». This is definitely a fun place where the memory of its ethos will outlive the taste of its food. 3.5 Stars

My boyfriend and I live a couple of blocks from Pearl’s, but for some reason didn’t know of its existence until a couple of days ago. Once we learned of it, we were eager to try it. It’s pretty small, so we arrived around 6 pm on a Sunday to guarantee we got seats(no problem at all at that hour). Based on the pictures I had seen on Unilocal,I thought the portions were going to be on the small side, so we ordered the stuffed crab back and the macaroni pie to start and then we each got the jerk chicken bake. Honestly, we really overdid it. The jerk chicken bakes alone would have been plenty of food. The stuffed crab back(2 pieces) was excellent and came served in the crab shell, which was cool. The macaroni pie(basically mac and cheese) was also great. You could easily order this as a meal in and of itself. The centerpiece of our meal was the jerk chicken bake, which was superb. The«bake» is fry bread, and it comes stuffed with jerk chicken, jerk sauce, and pineapple slaw. Truly delicious. The jerk chicken is cooked over 2 days, and you can definitely tell. I ended up not eating all the fry bread and just pulling out the chicken near the end, because I was so full. All of the items we ordered were reasonably priced as well(in the 9 – 12 dollar range). We were pleased to learn that they also do take out(though not delivery), so that’s a good alternative if the restaurant is crowded. We’ll certainly be back.

LOVETHISPLACE. I was showing a friend visiting from out of town around today and we were looking for a good lunch spot without a ridiculous wait. I’d walked past Pearl’s many times and, through a series of events one could interpret as fate, today was the day I finally stopped in. We were greeted by the GM who was running the whole show for the day, and he was very kind, attentive, and helpful in finding things we would like. I cannot praise him enough; he was so pleasant. My friend and I ended up sharing the bake and shrimp and bake and shark. Both were amazing. The bread was perfectly warm and soft. My friend got a delicious juice and my shandy was top-notch. We finished things off with their Guinness ice cream, topped beautifully with toasted coconut. Overall, a perfect meal in a perfect setting on a freezing Brooklyn day.(Oh, and the chefs work out in the open so you can personally thank them for your meal, which you should do!)

Great addition to the neighborhood. Fun, relaxed atmosphere, good music and delicious laid back food. We loved the bake and jerk, shrimp and jerk and the calypso guacamole and chips. All SO good.

I am so happy this authentic place opened right down the street from me and not another Thai fast food hangout. I have gotten the corn soup with dumplings both times I have been here and think it tastes amazing. The flavor and spices of the islands makes it super delicious.

Loved this place. Best Caribbean food in the area. Up there with Miss Lilly’s for sure! Good rum punch as well. This place is going to be so good in the summer! Back yard!

The staff here are incredibly friendly, the hostess waved at me before I even stepped in the restaurant and our waitress was very attentive, knowledgable and just pleasant. I had the short rib bake and my BF had the Jerk Roti. Everything was delicious, I can’t wait to go back but I know that once word gets out this place is going to be packed all the time, since its a tiny place.

Disappointed. Overpriced small portions. The food was tasty, but $ 18 for Jerk Chicken(1 piece), rice and slaw. The side of Jerk sauce was not even ¼ full. I can guess they’ll do fine as most of the locals. Have never been to Crown Heights or any other part of Brooklyn besides Dumbo. One and done…

Great new spot from the Sweet Chick team, this time serving delicious Caribbean food. There’s a whole section of the menu dedicated to «Bakes»(Caribbean style fry bread), including an excellent Jerk Chicken one($ 11). There are also a bunch of entrees, like some super tender Jerk Ribs($ 21), and tons of great sides, especially the Macaroni Pie($ 9). This is yet another great restaurant to open in this area of Williamsburg, and a great choice when Sweet Chick down the block is too crowded.
