Roehrkasse Meat

What a great place to buy meat! I stopped in while visiting a friend in the area and the large orange MEAT sign caught my eye from across the town! As I get closer I see the bright orange JERKY sign. Hell could things get any better? As I walked in the first thing I noticed was the cleanliness! Even as I was there the butcher shop floor was covered in sudsy foam. To the opposite side, meat cases filled with very good looking and fresh meats. The variety was endless I didn’t know what to do so I started picking and choosing between the massive selection. I ended up buying the beef jerky, teriyaki beef tips, meat sticks, and frankfurters and I must say every single purchase was well worth it! I indulged in meat for the following week and I am dying to return soon. If in the area this is a place you must stop!!! Prices are also very reasonable compared to that of a local grocer!

I am a proud omnivore; red meat, pink meat, white meat, greens, tubers, leguimes, seeds, nuts, lactose, starch, grains and alchohol. Did I miss anything?
When one thinks of a butcher in small town America, you would be thinking of this place. So clean that they must be the poster child of USDA approval. Their beef is the best in the area, that is including our neghbors in the Amanas. Whenever we need a custom cut of cow they are courteous and informative.
I would drive form Iowa City just to buy a prime rib roast from these guys, their bacon is not too bad either.
