Definitely the best restaurant by far in Williamsport. Every plate is excellent, awesome staff and very nice outdoor patio. Really good wine selection.

I went here the other night for a work dinner meeting. It located only a couple minutes off the the interstate which for anyone traveling though is great. The place When you pull up their are only a few parking spots out front however just passed the restaurant across the street is a parking lot. So you dont have to walk far which is nice. It is a small restaurant but very nice inside. Bathrooms were kept clean which is always a plus for me. The food I started with a salad of baby greens, strawberries and bacon covered with a light vinaigrette. Almost anytime I see a salad that says bacon I am ordering it! I loved it. All ingredients tasted fresh and were served chilled which is how I like my salad. I know it should be obvious but I have been to high end places that had salads that looked and tasted like there were out a pre-made bag not so here. For dinner I orderd the Manzo alla Griglia which is grilled Black Angus strip steak or seared on volcanic stone, pan seared broccolini, roasted garlic mashed potatoes. All I can say is everything was really good! Steak was cooked well and had great flavor. For Dessert all I can say is wow our waiter read off about 10 items. Which really was my only complaint. He never offered to bring us a menu with the list. So you had a make a split decision on what you wanted. I went with the crème bruelee which was good but nothing special. It also was on the small side for a dessert. The bonus Maybe some of you will think this is not the norm but I find when I go out eat I find most restaurants have terrible coffee! I rarely order it because most of the time it tasted like it has been sitting there for a year or like water. Anyone else relate??? I decided to order some and I was impressed! Was it the best I have ever had? No but it was good which is more than I can say for most places! The verdict I was impressed and maybe even a little more because I didnt have to the pay the bill! The place is somewhat pricey but my food was pretty great. In fact so much so I would like to come back and try more even if I have will have to pay next time :)

My favorite restaurant in the region and rivals some of the finest dining I’ve experienced in some of the largest cities. Food, service, ambiance and owners/staff are 5-star. I aggressively recommend.

Disrespectful bartender. Apparently the son of the owner, talked down on all of the customers all night. Great couple and wedding, but sad they paid for this service.

I grew up in Williamsport, PA and used to drop my brother off at his job as a valet at DiSalvo’s in high school, but this was my first time actually going inside as a patron! We were a party of three and had no trouble getting a reservation for Friday night. I had to call midweek and push it back from 6 to 7pm and it was no problem. We sat outside, which was fine for the most part. A «smooth jazz» trio were playing, and while it was a nice touch, at times it made chatting a bit difficult. Service was impeccable and attentive without being overbearing. We got the bruschetta app for the table, which was fresh, but not the most sharable plate as it came on one big piece of bread, but we were able to manage. My husband got the lobster, crab, & roasted garlic alfredo penne, which he said was not at all heavy and the seafood fresh. I had a bite and agreed. Our friend had shrimp, lobster, scallops, sweet peas, & saffron risotto that she really enjoyed. I had a taste as well and found it to be very flavorful. I had the shrimp scampi and the pasta was cooked perfectly, flavor was right on the money and the shrimp were fresh and juicy. We all tried each other’s dishes and all agreed, while we liked a taste of the other entrees we individually preferred ours! That’s like never happens, right! For desert we shared the tiramisu and the crème brûlée amongst the 3 of us. Actually thy each ordered a dessert and I got a few bites from both. The crème brûlée was creamy, sweet, but not too rich. In fact, all the food we had was quite prefect for a summer dinner outside, nothing too heavy or overbearing. I’d definitely come back to Di Salvo’s next time I’m in town and have the time for an upscale refined dining option.

Stumbled in from out of town and what a find! As good a dining experience as I’ve ever had. Bread… Homemade in house… Salad… Fresh & delicious… Pasta… Homemade in house… Great wine list… Great service… And if you happen to run into Henry & Jack at the bar… The stars are aligning and you’re in for a great evening. Go, go, go to DiStifanos’

Most recently we attended a brunch after a funeral. The food was outstanding! Tortellini, chicken, stuffed pork, mashed potatoes and rigatoni. Everything was delicious. Dessert was a chocolate tort and cheese cake. All made in house. Staff was very attentive. Definitely would recommend DiSalvos!

I was there on business and looking to have a nice quiet diner and watch some of the NCAA basketball games. I found this place. They allowed me to sit in a quiet place and turn on the game for me. I had a craving for a special Italian dish and even though they didn’t have that specific dish on the menu, they made it for me along with a very generous pour of wine. Don’t wast your time looking for another restaurant downtown — this is the one!

I recently was in Williamsport for work, and someone recommended DiSalvo’s to me. I dropped in on a Tuesday night, and I was one of only a few people dining that evening. Nevertheless, everything was as superb. I was very impressed with the food options available here with plenty of entrees for us non-carb non-pasta eating souls. I chose the grilled salmon, which honestly(and I hate to say it for a salmon in the middle of Pennsylvania) may have been the best salmon I’ve ever had. It was a hearty portion, juicy, grilled, and perfectly seasoned. Every bite was delicious. It was served with some vegetables that also were delicious. I also chose a nice cabernet to accompany the meal. All of the staff was welcoming and engaging, but Zach the bartender made me feel perfectly at home, and he became like a guest at my table as we chatted throughout my meal. This restaurant is not just great for Williamsport. It would hold its own in Manhattan or any other great food city. I am impressed.

My boyfriend and I met some friends here a few weeks ago for a birthday dinner. We called for reservations at 7. They called us back and moved out res back to 730. So we got there about 715 and just down in the bar for a few drinks before dinner. 730 came and went. So did 830. We weren’t seated until 840. It took another 15 minutes for our waiter to come to the table. He was incredibly rude and unhelpful with the menu. We ordered pizzas for an appetizer. When they finally came to the table, the bottoms were covered in soot from the unclean deck of the ovens. My napkin was black by the end of the night. After our appetizers were completely gone and we’d been sitting there with empty plates and empty glasses for about 10 minutes, our waiter finally reappeared with the same bad attitude to take our entrée order. I ordered a crab cake and another glass of wine. Crab cake came out burned and lacking any kind of flavor. Never received my glass of wine. I saw the head chef sitting in the bar more than we saw the waiter. Completely disappointed for the hype this place has and the prices they charge. Probably never go back.

First of all, how is this not rated the #1 restaurant in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Central PA, etc… We have been eating at Disalvo’s since they began in a smaller location on High Street, many years ago. We love their food so much we even had them cater our wedding. Make reservations for a dining experience in the kitchen. It is cozy, yet classy and you get to watch the chefs work their magic! The outside patio is gorgeous when weather permits. The live jazz is a bonus! The recently added wine bar is a whole separate building across the patio. Totally different, city vibe. Oh! And the food!!! Home made, deliciously seasoned & always fresh! Great wines and cocktails! Oh my gosh! Can I say any more great things? Love this place!

Went here for our 46th anniversary as we have for years. Never had a bad meal yet. Hubby got salmon and asparagus which he loved. I got the wide fresh pasta with shrimp and scallops. Yummmm. Atmosphere is warm and cozy, friendly and service was excellent.

For those who don’t want to read the essay. Long story short it was the most amazing experience I have ever had. I’d give it ten stars if I could. Don’t hesitate to try this piece of heaven out. My friend who is from the area brought me here last week. She had been talking about it for a whole year prior to our visit. It is her absolute favorite. I was a bit skeptical because its in the middle of PA and Italian cuisine is overdone. Being from New York City and a picky eater I was weary. On the other hand, my friend is a Foodie. From the moment we walked in through the patio, it was the most beautiful setting I had ever laid eyes on since being in PA. The wine bar looked straight out of a Miami lounge(and not the ratchet kind). Our table wasn’t ready yet, but the service made up for it. While we waited we got to listen to live jazz, and had a couple of drinks. The moment our table was ready we got the sweetest apologies for the short wait. I had no idea what to order or what to expect. The menu had the most delicious sounding combinations. It was hard to pick just one. The best part was the patience of the waiter. He answered any of my questions, helped me choose the Rack of Lamb, and even reminded to squeeze a lemon over my salad for the best taste. Words cannot describe the experience I had with the food. The olive oil and vinaigrette with the freshly baked bread was unbelievable. Then the appetizer which was prosciutto, tomatoes and fresh mozzarella left me wanting even more. Then I got a smoked salad. I have never even heard of smoked lettuce. My first bite and my last bite were equally amazing. No diminishing returns. And the Rack of Lamb was the most tender and flavorful bite I have ever had. I no longer compare the restaurant to my experiences in PA, I compare it to all the restaurants I have ever dined in. It is amazing quality, and did not feel rushed. There was no Olive Garden feel to it. On the contrary, I felt cozy and a part of the family. Each employee was willing to make my experience that much better. They welcomed me with open arms. The restaurant is an hour away from where I live, but I wouldn’t mind making that trip over and over. And I can truly say that when I move back to New York I’ll miss this restaurant.

This is the first restaurant I try in Williamsport, and it has already become a favorite. I had the lunch special(a crabmeat salad) and it was fantastic. I also recommend the peach iced tea for those of you who like sweetened iced tea to drink. Wonderful friendly and welcoming service too.

We are from out of the area. Our son attended Lycoming College and we went there to celebrate his graduation and reward him for a 4GPA for his last semester. When viewing the menu we noticed a $ 75 aged rib-eye on the menu … It was well higher than most other things on the menu but prompted my curiosity. When the hostess came back we inquired about the dish … She went on to explain that it was dry aged in-house for and that the weight aged was 36 to 42 ounces which is A LOT of meat. When our VERY courteous, attentive server came I asked if they would serve the entrée as two dinners and if so what would be the extra cost. He was quick to reply«yes and no additional charge». Needless to say, that ended up our choice. I have eaten at many steakhouses across the US though the first time I have had dry-aged beef … the only words I could use to describe the flavor, done-ness and texture are UNBELIEVABLYFANTASTIC!!! With our son graduating our frequency of visiting Williamsport will lessen significantly … but … my wife and I agree that our next time through Williamsport will include a stop at DiSalvos.

We are from Williamsport, and have enjoyed DiSalvo’s food for years. Have had events there, and although many of my friends won’t go their due to poor service experiences, I have defended the place for years.(chef is amazing and have a friend who works there) No more. Absolutely horrible experience this evening. Asked about the bill and was pounced on by the server. When my wife went to smooth things over, he blew smoke in her face, and slammed a door on her. When the manager came over she accosted my wife, made her cry, and the server verbally attacked me. We know 6 families who will not dine at this restaurant due to similar experiences. Go elsewhere.

I am a bit biased against«fine italian dining». To me the essence of italian cooking is simple home cooked fare using fresh ingredients and lots of passion in coming up with great tasting food. My opinion is that when you try to make Italian food upscale, you lose a bit of that soul. DiSalvo’s is a place that seems like it is trying to go upscale. You got the front part with columns that is a façade for a cinderblock building that may very well have been a butcher shop in it’s past life. The inside is in a bit of disarray as they are currently resurfacing the wood floor. Our group ate out in the patio area as it was a very nice night for eating outside. DiSalvo’s serves a number of very nice wines and beers but I passed on them, not feeling like alcohol tonight. For appetizers, we had Pane Formaggio, Clams Casino and Calimari Fritti. The Calimari was breaded and fried and was pronounced excellent, likewise the Clams Casino. I liked the Pane Formaggio, a slice of crusty bread with melted cheese on top and served with a marinara sauce. It was a bit heavy on the cheese but it went down good tonight. Also served was crusty bread with olive oil and strawberry viniagrette. Olive oil was of very good quality and the vinagrette was interesting. For salad I had the Ensalata della Casa. What was neat about the salad is that the components were grown in the area and very fresh. This was served with a basalmic vinegar dressing and was very good. My entrée was the Lasagne alla Napolatana, layers of noodles, ricotta cheese and a five cheese blend. This was covered with a sauce containing ground beef and pork. The portion was quite large and I found the lasagne very good but not the best I’ve had. Talking to the group, apparently they really do a great job with seafood. The salmone arrosto and the salmone alla griglia was really drawing rave notices. In spite of my bias, I can’t deny that they really do serve good food. And the service was exceptional on this night. It seems to me this is a place that you would want to take guests as the food is good, the service is attentive and they appear to be consistent as many of my companions come here on a regular basis.
