He gets a 5 for being easy to schedule, delivery, installation. He gets a 1 for warranty service. Apparently, dealing with Carpet One is the problem. They resell carpets from Shaw and dealing with a warranty claim is more than difficult!
The story– I tested the sample for bleach resistance. About 2 yrs after installation, I had to add bleach to my cleaning water. The carpet lost color. Meh, OK. The carpet was matted and not cleanable by 5 yrs in on a 10 yr warranty. I pulled the carpet out and put in hardwood. The store owner hemmed and hawed. Somehow it was MY fault and they’re not going to honor any warranty issues. I will go to Echo Flooring next time. The buyer there says that dealing direct with Shaw, they have had fantastic warranty service. Buying through Carpet One, you get nada.
