I really wanted to like this establishment but the delivery service really sucks. The food is a little bit above average but the service is appalling. The delivery service takes around 30 – 45 minutes(as told by the waiters) but in reality on some occasions up to 1hr and 30 minutes. The establishment really should tell people ahead of time if this is going to be the case. It’s rude and incompetent of them to do so. I guess this is just another prime example on how these restaurants(such as Sushi Thai and Hops and Vines) have adopted this complacent attitude due to the lack of competition in Williamstown.

I love their food! Their luncheon special is a great deal. Crab ragoons are amazing! I don’t like the service though… maybe it’s cause they don’t speak much English but they come off as rude.

It is always a pleasant surprise when you are out and about on the weekend and stop for lunch in an out-of-the-way part of the state and you find a place like Chopsticks. From the Wonton Soup to the fried rice and the the Spicy Szechuan Pork dish everything was as good as one would hope for and more. An additional bonus was the price at $ 6.95 which was scarcely believable for the quantity and quality. Service was perfect, the kitchen was fast and efficient. If you find yourself in that corner of the state and it’s time to eat this would be a very pleasant stop, I certainly found it so.

Our meal tonight was expeditionary– we dove into the far corners of this vast menu to choose two unexpected and delicious dishes. The bi bim bap and the mango chicken(made spicy). I was skeptical that the bi bim bap would receive the culinary attention it deserves on such a wide ranging menu, but was surprised and delighted by its flavor. The mango chicken was particularly good with a savory slightly sweet sauce, a hearty heaping of vegetables, and thin slices of mango on top. There is a vast selection of cocktails here all for under $ 5. You can even order a bucket of booze with two straws.

The food is consistently good, but the consistency of bad service made me come to the conclusion that this place does my deserve my support.

There is something to be said for classic dishes, well prepared and reasonably priced. I come here often and I’m never disappointed. True old-school Asian fare, priced to be affordable for spur of the moment meals.

Service is good. Water, Hot Tea and your reg. Fried noodles and duck sauce came right away. Luncheon special is reasonably priced. Starter soup, hot and sour was excellent, General Chow Chicken was good. To my surprise the rice and main dish came in a separate plate. Guess I have never sat down to a luncheon special in a restaurant /always at take out place.

Ugh. I hate to do this but after the last experience that I had I can’t with good conscious avoid it. I had been to Chopsticks many times. It is one of those places that you know the service won’t be good, and the timing of your food arrival is left up to chance but the food was good and cheap and the scorpion bowls were on point. …Until my last visit, when I ordered chicken and broccoli and woke up the next morning with the worst food poisoning. I would say, proceed with caution. Maybe order a vegetarian dish? Or find a different restaurant for your Chinese food needs.

Skip it. This used to be a great place but the last three times I’ve gone the wait for food and service has been ridiculous. Last night was the last straw. The owner brought our soup pretty promptly but the rest of the meal order apparently never made it to the kitchen. We watched as people who came in after us got served. Tried getting someone’s attention but to no avail. Finally, someone(not the owner who took the order) stopped and asked if we wanted to order. We told him we had but he asked us to please tell us what had been ordered. Five minutes later it appeared. It was okay to not okay. The Szechuan dumpling had about ¼ tsp worth of sausage. Just dough and sauce– albeit tasty sauce. But still. Then the wIt for the check… ridiculous. I’m officially done being hopeful about this place.

I’ve never actually eaten here in person, but I order out from the restaurant quite a bit, so make of that what you will. In short: the food is good, cheap, warm, tasty, and gets the job done. The long version: placing an order with them is sometimes a chore, and the recent switch to cash-only transactions have tempered my cravings for this place somewhat. The delivery also takes ages(it’s almost never the 45 minutes they tell you over the phone). However, having explored their menu quite a bit, almost everything I have ever ordered from them, I have liked. Some top picks: the pu pu platter, the orange chicken(always a stay-in-and-eat-my-feelings-away favorite), the hot and sour soup, bul go ki, the szechuan spicy fried rice, and the duck dishes. The sushi is a little stale, but it gets the job done(and is cheap to boot). Overall, it’s not the ideal for Asian food, even in this general area, but for a college kid with limited income, Chopsticks is a fond favorite. Happy eating!

Very mediocre. The chicken fried rice had almost no chicken, and was filled with an overabundance of mushy onions… it was rather disgusting. The gyoza weren’t prepared properly whatsoever.

I love their food! This is the best place in the area or Chinese food! They make their sushi right in front of you. They are quick delivering you your food after you order. The restaurant is very clean and the servers are friendly. The menu is huge and their drinks are very yummy. This is one of my favorite places to go! I highly recommend it!

Chopsticks is a very good standard Chinese restaurant. I have never had a bad dish there. The sushi is also good.

I grew up with Chopsticks. I’ve probably gone there close to 100 times. I once tried to order drinks here before I turned 21(it worked), and I saw Dylan Baker here, an actor who had a bit part in Spiderman 2&3. Chopsticks is fine, a nice solid mediocre chinese restaurant in a town that could use more junk food anyway. Having ordered just about everything here, it’s safe to say you can save yourself some disappointment by staying away from the japanese/korean offerings(although the sushi was ok) and just get a nice greasy plate of sesame chicken. If you really want good food, stick to Spring st. but if you want to wallow in delicious, fatty americanized chinese food prepared by malaysians, this is the place to go.

Excellent food, and if the service was a little lacking it was still a good experience overall. We had sesame chicken, which was amazing: different because it was a little bit smoky; also curry chicken with onions, which was spicy, but not overpowering. We did wait for food, then wait for more noodles, and then wait for the check.

I hate that my maiden Unilocal review is going to be a really, really rotten one. Had lunch at Chopsticks today — the service was so terrible(read: nonexistent) that we actually had to leave before ordering anything. We were the *only* people in the entire restaurant, and 15 solid minutes went by and we hadn’t even been asked if we wanted drinks. In fact, the entire wait staff completely disappeared after we were seated and didn’t reappear until we were walking out the door. I’ve eaten at this restaurant before, and I remember the food to be fair(but certainly not great, or even good). But we knew it was affordable for lunch and we just kind of wanted some noodles and cocktails. Unfortunately I can’t really comment on the food today, since I didn’t eat any. I don’t think we’ll be returning anytime in the near future.

For the middle of no where Massachusetts and such a large menu I’m pretty impressed with Chopsticks. The sushi is decent but for this area it’s doable. I would recommend some of the more traditional chinese dishes or plain sushi though — the exotic rolls left much to be desired. My only complaint is the service. For a sit down and lengthy meal this isn’t the place to go. There are too many servers and they bug you constantly, no matter how friendly you are asking for them to go away. For a good, quick, decent meal this is the place but not for a first date(unless you don’t really like her or she talks too much…)
